Noelani ignored Hunter's ranting, in some way she was also disappointed but it seemed the safest thing to do. Looking at the rabbit she managed to hold back a growl not too bothered by it but annoyed at almost everything she came in contact with in this world. Here she was in the very place she was told she could never reach... why would he lie? Or was he just being stubborn...
Without thinking about it her feet moved forward after the goddess. Toward the place they had both been forbade to go. "I have to know..." She whispered as her feet carried her more quickly. "I'm sorry Hunter but I can't sit here waiting like a scared rabbit.. I'm going!"

Hunter was only just bending down to the water when Noelani suddenly announced her rather foolhardy plan. The raccoon swore and hurried after her. “You do realise that you have no idea which direction she actually went in or how far away it is. She rose out of the damn earth and you think you can run after her.” It seemed strange that he was taking the hesitant role, while she seemed intent on getting them into more trouble that necessary.
The rabbit suddenly hopped in front of them, little claws batting at Noelani’s foot as if trying to get her to stay still. Hunter simply scooped the rabbit up by the scruff of the neck. Sure this was a stupid idea, but he wasn’t going to let a rabbit tell them that.

Noe didn't want to hear this right now, she knew that the stupid goddess thing had risen from the earth but... but... sighing she stopped struggling looking down at the rabbit before Hunter picked it up. Sighing she seemed to have given up but all to soon she jerked to attention. "You of all people I wouldn't expect to be scared..." Snorting she began walking ahead anyway. Whether it was the right direction or not she wasn't concern. This was a test of her skill, something she'd been trained to do since she was little. If she couldn't even track Dyre then what was the point of anything she'd ever done. It all tied into her bounty hunting skills too...
Dyre was the bounty! And the prize was proving how much of a coward he was for leaving her behind... she smirked wickedly. "I'm going. You just stay here and be a good little raccoon. I have business to finish." With that she was off at a run.

“I’m not scared.” Or was he? Hunter wasn’t entirely sure. It wasn’t the world or the creatures in it that he feared, but he wasn’t sure what he was going to see when he saw Dyre. His creator. Would the demi-god creature recognize him as something close to his own blood or would he consider Hunter little more than a bug?
He tucked the rabbit safely under his arm. “Well, it appears we’re going to be ignoring your good ladies request.” Was it his imagination or did it just sigh? Then he set off after Noe, quickly catching up to her and matching his pace with hers. There could really be anything lurking out here and he wouldn’t be surprised if they came calling.

Noe looked to find Hunter walking at a steady pace next to her. She gave a clipped smirk, "Glad you could join me." Looking around the forest it was foreign to her but beautiful. Any other time she would be moving around to admire the scenery. Her mind so caught up on finding the other... "Hey.. .Hunter?" Looking to the raccoon she gave a worried smile. "Do you wonder about what will happen when we find him? I mean... will he even know us?"

“No matter what happens, it’s going to be worse for you. You used to love the guy; I’m just the by-product of a stupid idea.” Hunter gave a wry smirk. “In a way, I am worried... maybe he will decide to destroy me after he discovers exactly what I’ve turned into.” The racoon’s laugh was strained and angry.

There was a rustle in the trees above and then something dropped down right onto Hunter’s back. “Got you!” Needles sharp claws dug into the Raccoon’s shoulders. “New, smelly creature. Strange, strange. Rei will teach you a lesson for trespassing in her forest.”
“What the ********...?” Hunter came to a standstill, dropping the rabbit and fumbling for his bow. “Noe, what the hell is on my back... ow, s**t! It bit me.”

Turning to find one of the faekat creatures on Hunter's back, Noe had to quail the urge to laugh. It was a comical sight admittedly but this was no time to giggle around like the would back home. This was a world with unknown variables of which one was having a field day on Hunter's back. Her feet moved quickly to reach out and grab the faekat from his back. "Hunter! Get off him!"

Rei hissed at Noe’s, claws digging further into Hunter’s shoulders. She refused to budge, ears back and tail swishing back and forth like an angry cat. “No, no, no. I’ll kill you! Rei will beat you up. Rei always wins.” She let go with one paw in order to swipe at Noe, cackling. Hunter could feel those sharp little claws tearing into his skin and he wanted it off. He spin sideways, located the closest tree and went to slam the little creature into the trunk. But instead of slamming into a furry body, his back hit the trunk.
Rei was up the tree like lightning. She clung to a branch up above, snarling down at her enemies. “Ire, Ireeeeee!” When her brother didn’t immediately come and save her, the female pouted and settled for throwing a twig at Hunter’s head.

Again Noe wanted to laugh but it seriously wasn't the time to do so. The creature had scurried up the tree so fast she didn't have time to react. Looking upon her arms the thing had managed to scratch at her while they'd been tussling back and forth. "Ow..." she blew at the scratch on her arm but ignored it in favor of tending to Hunter who had the unfortunate luck of having a twig thrown at him. "Even in this world you're not liked." She commented under breath but wasn't making any attempt to hide it. "Let me see." She kept her attention on the creature in the tree but had to be certain Hunter was okay in the meantime.
After looking him over she turned to look throughout the forest. Somehow it didn't seem like a good idea to be running around out here. Maybe they should have waited like she had previously planned. Without thinking her hand shot out to tug on Hunter's tunic a worried but determined expression lacing her features. She wouldn't voice what she was thinking and she wouldn't allow Hunter the satisfaction of making fun of her. Now wasn't the time. "If you think you can hit it with your bow and drop that thing from the tree I can paralyze it..." This was all she could think to do. They needed to make some ground.

Hunter batted away the twig, giving an annoyed huff. While the little female hadn’t done too much damage, the bites and scratches stung like hell. He lifted his bow, snagging an arrow from the quiver. “Of course I can hit it. Though I presume you’d prefer I don’t kill it.” He glared up at the Faekat in the tree and pulled the arrow back, getting her in his sights. The female darted along the branch and he quickly angled the bow, releasing the arrow.
The arrow hit Rei in the side. She let out a howl as she tumbled from the tree. Hitting the ground on all fours she crouched against the ground hissing. The arrow had torn a good chunk from her side but it wasn’t enough to kill. Her belly was touching the ground, tail swishing quickly from side to side.
“Hurry up and paralyze it Noe.” That was off course when a much smaller creature came darting out of the bushes with a shout of ‘mama!’. The little bundle of fluff attached itself to its mothers side, though Rei ignored it as she focused on her two enemies. “You’ve got to be kidding me…”

Noe was already moving forward when the little creature came darting out of the bushes. She hadn't slowed down even when it announced its relation to the other. "s**t... I don't have time for this!" Noe spat sliding on her heels she skidded to a halt just in front of the two. "I'm sorry little guy this isn't personal." With two of her needles at the ready she pricked the kid softly on his hind-side. It would most likely piss off the mother but he would be okay, just sleeping peacefully. She turned her attention to the mother at this point, making sure to keep herself open for an attack. She wanted a clean shot if she got scratched in the process so be it...
"Well ya comin' at me or what?" She taunted the faekat female a sick little smile spreading across her usually charming features.

The baby dropped instantly; falling into a deep sleep. Rei’s ears fell back against her head and she gave a low whine noise. While she certainly wasn’t going to get a trophy for mother of the year (since she wasn’t entirely sure where her other child had gotten to), she still had a moment of worry for her son. She reached out a paw, gaze still on Noe, poking the baby in the side. Little Ellipsis made a small noise in his sleep. Satisfied that he was at least alive, Rei abandoned her defensive, crouched position.
She glanced at the needles, judging her chances of tearing out Noe’s throat before she got pricked. Apparently she decided the chances weren’t good and the female turned and fled, darting up the nearest tree. From her safe position she glowered with eerie green eyes, having no problem with abandoning her sleeping son.
Hunter slipped an arrow back into the quiver and approaching the sleeping baby, crouching down beside it. “No wonder I’m so screwed up. The creatures here are nuts.” The rabbit was back again, hopping up and down to get attention. He ignored it, instead picking up the Faekat baby. “Heh. It’s really cute.” From up in the tree there came a possessive, angry yowl from the mother. “Think I can take it home with me.” He chuckled.

"That's exactly why you're the way you are..." She bleated out with a chuckle following shortly after. Reaching to take the little bundle from him she smiled at it glad the stuff was potent enough for these creatures. Using her very own Hunter brand it had to work on them if he had any of their general make up. "We don't have time to babysit Hunter lets get going." Eying the rabbit she knelt down plucking it up by its neck and setting it on Hunter's shoulder. "There!"
Moving over to a thicket of bushes she set the faekat baby their making sure he was covered from any harmful predators. Hopefully the mother wouldn't cause any problems and tend to the baby instead of worry about them. "Let's go." She pushed heading onward though mindful of the dangers she'd been told before. Just how much more would they have to go through before finding that idiot!

Hunter gave the baby Faekat one last, almost fond, look before he got to business. “Alright, let’s find this b*****d already.” He followed Noe further into the dark forest. There was very soon a rustling noise in the trees above and then occasional flash of green eyes as Rei followed them from the branches. Hunter chose to ignore it. As long as she kept her distance she could keep on their trail. “When you have kids Noe, I want to train them for you. I can be Uncle Hunter.” The forest was growing darker. This was truly a beautiful place and the raccoon began to feel at home. Despite his bulk he moved along with barely a sound; his feet not misplacing a single leaf. This was his element.

The random declaration brought a slight smile to her lips but otherwise she made not mention of it. He'd do as he wanted with or without her approval, so long as her kids didn't act like him hunting like him was fine. "We'll see.." she offered after a moment of silence. Keeping her eyes on the green around them and ears focused she could make out many sounds, all of which could be threatening or no more than a simple creature curiously moving along. She stopped suddenly when the road seemed to stop as well, moving forward it was evident there was nothing more to walk on. A cliff hung in their way, either stand around gawking or look for a bridge to the other side. "Great!" she muttered. "Any ideas?"
