Rory sighed a bit, frowning as Lee headed for the bathroom. He decided that after breakfast, he would start looking for a family that would take Lynn. It wasn't fair to Lee to be subjected to the kid more than she had to be. He looked down at the child. "Can you stay here an' wait fae Lee so she can help you get your dress on? I'll see if we got syrup fae your waffles." He scooted the girl gently off his lap, patting her head, and went for the kitchen, giving a soft, but sharp "wake the hell up" knock to Lauss' door as he walked past.

Lee was rather quick to finish up, seeing Rory was leaving. Heading back out and rubbing her arm uncomfortably at the sight of a little girl waiting for her and glaring in her direction, the girl sighed, finding Lynn's dress and pulling the toddler off the bed to get her changed. Neither said a word, both aware of the other's dislike. The likely didn't get along, however, because they were so similar. Both were stubborn, both were selfish, and they both liked Rory more than any other person alive. Naturally, they wouldn't become friends any time soon.
Lauss, however, was in good spirits, even if he'd been awoken from his hibernating so unpleasantly. He stretched a bit before getting out of bed, hopping out and into the kitchen, fully prepared to help Rory with breakfast. The alter had no clue there was a guest in the house, and would have introduced himself by now had he known.

Rory gently pushed Lauss away from where he was making breakfast. "Nae, lad. Gae help your mistress wi' th' kid. You get along better wi' children than Lee does." He glanced back at the alter. "An' donnae gae t' askin' Lynn where she came from, alreet? Her mum abandoned her an' w're lookin' after her till w' find somewhere's else fae her. Just . . . go play wi' her or teach her somethin' so's Lee can hae a break."

Lauss' eyes widened a bit, looking off in the direction of the bedroom. "Oh... I see... Yessir." He wasn't able to empathize with the little girl he had yet to meet, but somehow could still understand she was not a happy little lady. His biggest concern, however, was meeting this young girl, and finding out what she might teach him, and what he could teach her in return. Wandering toward Lee and Lynn, he looked back at Rory a few times, making sure he really didn't need help, before stepping into the bedroom. "Hello, miss. I'm Lauss," he greeted her with a smile, keeping his distance as Lee worked on buttoning the final buttons of the little girl's dress.
Lynn stared at the blue-haired boy, watching him curiously, noting how non-threatening he seemed to be. She recognized him from last night, but didn't return the smile, simply because she didn't know that it was expected of her. "Hello..." she whispered, a bit shy at the moment.
Oh, good. Help. Lee beckoned the essentic over, nodding down at the girl as she said, "This is Lynn. You wanna play with her or something?" At Lauss' excited nod, Lee nudged Lynn forward, inviting her to get to know Lauss better. She planned to wander back into the kitchen to get some time with Rory without a little girl holding her back.

Rory whistled an old traditional tune while bustling about the kitchen to whip up pancakes, fresh fruit, and sausage for breakfast. He hoped Lauss was able to help Lee out and that Lynn warmed up to him, too. The boy had a strange feeling that Lynn and Lee were somewhat competing for his attention, and that made him feel a bit weird and awkward.

Lee hopped up behind Rory, hugging him and kissing what she could reach of his neck. Intimacy now, please. She was apparently ignoring the fact that he was busy cooking, not knowing or caring that she was making his task that much more difficult.
Lauss sat on the floor so that he was eye-level with Lynn, still smiling as genuinely as ever to the little girl. "What's your favorite game?" He knew kids tended to enjoy games, and figured Lynn knew a few he had yet to learn.
"Dress up..." she said, looking the big-kid over. She stepped forward, reaching out to pull at the boy's hair, noting the unusual color. Her attention moved on to his ears, then the markings on his cheeks. He was an odd young man.
"How do you play that? Would you like to teach me?" he asked, eager to learn a new game. Lynn now had a matching smile, taking Lauss' hand and pulling him toward Lee's closet, starting to rumage through her shoes.

Rory chuckled, eyes half-closing at the hug and kisses. Luckily he wasn't at a point where his attention was needed, twisting around to envelope his wife in his arms and kiss her. "I know know you hate kids, so thanks fae puttin' up wi' Lynn. I know I told her w'd take her shoppin', but I'll just gae ahead an' find her some parents an' just let them worry about shoppin' fae her an' all tha'. Things'll be back t' normal then." He gave her a sort of odd unreadable smile.

Lee blinked, giving the boy a confused look. "I can take her shopping, if you're too busy..." What was the problem? Shopping was something she could do, something she enjoyed, and she had actually been looking forward to a trip with the little girl. If they were going to rid themselves of Lynn, do it after the fun part was over, kay?

"I ain't busy. I just . . . I get it, Lee. You donnae like th' kid. I wis gonna get her somewheres else t' stay so you wouldnae hae t' put up wi' her anymore," Rory explained, shrugging a little.

Lee was very clearly confused, raising an eyebrow as she stared up at the boy. "She's annoying, yeah, but it's nothing against her or anything. Like you said, I just dun like kids. But I dun hate her, and I wouldn't wanna hand her over to someone else if this is the best place for her." Besides, that shopping trip was still totally on, right? Even if she was shopping for a little girl, she was still shopping. Very few things were more enjoyable.

Rory just shrugged once more, not really sure himself what he wanted for the kid. "I do like kids, though, an' I like tha' little girl. I'd feel guilty handin' her off t' someone else so soon after she got abandoned. I just donnae want you t' feel trapped, especially after promisin' tha' kids would come much later in our lives." He sighed and shrugged again. "If w' do stuff wi' her an' make her feel like w' want her, it's gonna hurt her more when w' find another family fae her." He looked down, not meeting his wife's eyes. How could he tell her he wanted to keep Lynn knowing Lee would be disappointed and upset?

Lee's gaze also fell at the boy's words, not wanting him to see how guilty she looked and felt. "That's... yeah, you're... probably right." So a decision was needed sooner than later. Suppressing a sigh, Lee backed away from her husband, lightly brushing her hair out of her face as she thought. What was best for this little girl? This wasn't about Lee, not really, and she shouldn't be concerned with herself right now. Still, if she didn't like the kid enough to provide a loving home, it would accomplish the opposite of what she wanted. As long as she was able to treat Lynn like a roommate rather than a daughter, it would work out a lot better. Then again, a little girl needs a mother figure to look up to... Lee's posture fell as she shuffled over to the table, where she'd take her time thinking everything over.

Rory sighed softly, not sure what to say to Lee, or if anything needed to be said. Turning he finished preparing breakfast then carried the food to the table. Quietly, he set places out for everyone before going to see how Lauss and Lynn were getting along.

Lee hardly noticed the food being set in front of her, but it wasn't long before the smell of breakfast caught her attention. Oh, now she wanted to eat... Looking behind her, she figured she should really wait for the others, but it was too tempting not to take a few little nibbles. She blamed Rory for being such a great cook.
From the bedroom door, Lynn could be seen standing in the doorway of the closet, apparently adjusting and readjusting a hat that was set upon Lauss' head. The alter was hidden within the closet walls, and he had to admit that he preferred it that way, not wanting to be seen at the moment. As soon as Lynn noticed Rory was coming over, she shoved -- or rather nudged, considering her strength -- the essentic further within the closet before pulling the door shut. "You can' see yed." The toddler shook her head as she walked over to Rory and nudged at his legs, trying to get him to leave.

"Lynn said he wisnae ready yet, so I expect there'll be a big reveal soon. Poor Lauss must be a dog in a tayser o'er it. If it ruined some o' your clothes wi' Lynn's bit o' fun, I'll get you some t' replace them, alreet?" Rory said, leaning foward a bit and pouring himself some coffee. He looked over at Lee, smiling as he noticed her nibbling at her breakfast. "Is th' food good, lass?"
