Sailor Tin Nyanko Banning for Inactivity is a good way to kill a guild fast, especially in this situation. If this is original Skin Only,.. then everyone is going to need breaks to pout when they can't equip something they'd really love to. i totally agree. i mean i'm speaking from the perspective of just breaking into forums from a 6 mo silence, and over a yr's silence from guilds. inactive people aren't going to speak up about this b/c they're inactive. besides, sometimes all of the support you need is to see that other people have something in common with you. plus, i think it's really cool to see how many people are keeping their skins. it would be really neat if everyone who's keeping their skin would join.

Well, we need to start using guild announcements if we want to keep our members active. They obviously won't help if we don't have any good content.. so we need that first. >.>
I have been declining people who didn't have the skin for some time now.. shouldn't I have?

I've been doing the same.
I see this as a place for original skins only. As support for those of us who feel the urge to change and forever loose the skin.

So this has been around for a while so I believe I will give a rough draft of the rules and everyone can tell me what they think.
1. All Gaia ToS rules apply in this guild. 2. This is guild is for faithful followers of the Overseer, so please keep your skin equipped. Removing of it will cause you to be banned. 3. Please refrain from making threads that will spark an argument with other guild mates. If you really want to post something, but are afraid it might cause an argument PM a Crew member and ask them if it's okay. 4. RPing is allowed; this is supposed to be a fun guild. Just remember to keep it PG-13 and it must follow Gaia ToS rules. 5. A Crew members word is law, please respect their decision even if you don't agree with it. 6. Please be respectful to all guild mates, what good is an order to our Overseer if we don't get along with each other? 7. Please try to remain active, inactivity longer than a month is grounds for a ban. If you're going to be absent for a while please post it in the absence thread along with what time you think you'll be back.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Let me know what you guys think of it. In accordance with rule seven, if it makes the final cut an absence thread will be made.

I, personally, think a month is too short. Something more like 3-4 months maybe?

Looks very good. 3nodding
If people want to remove their skins, that's ground for ban.
If people really want to change their avatars, there are always alternative to it. There's the TekTek solution. There's the solution of giving all unequipped items to your mule.
If there are special reasons you need to change your avatar, you can still consult members of the crew for possible solutions.
For instance, I am willing to lend out items if someone has a borrowed item on their BOO-skin-avatar. (This arrangement is still under construction and will somehow have to be impossible for either side to scam the other, I'm just not sure how that will work out.)

(This arrangement is still under construction and will somehow have to be impossible for either side to scam the other, I'm just not sure how that will work out.) This, too, is a bit of a faulty solution, but one that isn't entirely impossible if there's enough trust.
We could set aside a kind of 'gold pot' for people who have borrowed items on their avatar. That way, in order to not change their skin, they can buy a new one and 'return' it to the rightful owner. The gold pot would be a way to get extra gold to ensure they can compensate without changing their avatar, helping them out a bit so they can afford the item if it's expensive.
It would have to be a trustworthy member. Maybe on who posts often who can have crew vouch for them. A bit of investigating would have to be done, as with real bank loans and the like. Make sure this is legitimate and not just a scam to get more gold. Also, you would probably only be able to borrow a certain amount, so many times. Or in increments.
If the Guild doesn't feel easy with this, a senior crew member or the captain herself could enact the transaction.
And the person who borrowed the money could/would pay it back in increments.
All in all, something similar to a real life loan system.
It's just an idea I thought of. I know one of our members was fretting over GO Phones she had borrowed from a friend and people had suggested that she buy a new pair and give those to her friend. Unless she joins the facebook application, the GO Phones are a little pricey. For such cases, where items are over a certain amount, we could help out members out so that they won't have to change.
Now, if you borrowed your friend's Angelic Halo, well, tough noogies. : / Unless you already have 3 mil and only need to be spotted a few thousand, maybe. But if you've got 2k and need a loan, well, sorry. Explain to your friend or do the responsible thing and give it back, thus changing your avatar.
We love our BOO skins, but, be reasonable, sometimes things are just more important. Maybe that member can be a special "I had no other choice but to change" member or something, without being kicked out.
That was kind of a lot of information that didn't really make sense. If you have a question, ask and I'll try and sound less like a babbling idiot next time. redface

Suroha Puping The Turd Suroha I PM'd her suggesting she apoint a Vice Captian.
That's a good idea. Would a VC be able to do all the same things as a normal Captian?
I've never been one so I couldn't say for sure, but I think yes. yes, VCs can do almost everything the captain can. the ONLY thing a VC cant do is promote/demote people to/from VC. Im VC in two of my guilds, and crew in several more. so id probably be a good candidate as far as experience with it goes

I agree with you systems, they seem to be logic and nearly fool-proof. thing is, we need to adjust the security, requirements and such according to how high worth we're looking at. 3nodding

PulchritudinousFartJoker I don't think anyone should be banned ever. That's a nice ideal idea, but we have to have rules, and when people repeatedly break those rules there must be consequences. Of course, banning shouldn't happen unless it's really needed to.

Haven't gotten much feed back from any others, so I'll go with what I have.
Majority wants to see inactivity moved to three months so I will do that. This are the rules then, if there are no objections I will submit them to the Boss Lady.

the rules look good. i still don't think there should be a rule against inactivity. i mean, if you judge by the past week or so, how many people would you have to ban? over half of the group? i'm assuming to be active, it requires more than just introducing yourself when you join. i really should stop ranting about this subject, i think i have a minority opinion on the subject.
