G'ail chuckled, "I've learned by now that Senoth only has my best interests at heart. I'm not the greatest at pursing my own wants so she... well, she takes that and runs with it so far she's always trying mother me. I don't give in so much but half the time I don't really have a choice. You know how Flights go and with a passionate green... you just sort of learn to live with it."
He smiled, "What was your home Weyr like? Did you transfer for a reason? High Reaches is hurting for dragons and I definitely am thankful for another Wingman on board. I worry that the ranks will get burned out if there's not enough of us... and I don't want the Weyrlings to get thrown into things they're not ready for. So thanks for coming."
Senoth rumbled a laugh, <<Mine does not think enough. He always looks for the good... some fiddle with his emotions then. Others call him... what was it... a human word. Easy to mislead.... >>She tilted her head as she poked her rider for the answer.
"Gullible." He spoke and thought at the same time, reflexively answering his dragon's question. It didn't even occur to him another rider might take it out of context.
<<Yes! Gullible. Mine is Gullible. He is very nice and kind but gullible too. >>

Despite himself, I'lan did indeed know exactly how Flights went, and he nodded, faintly flushed. "It is somewhat likewise with a terribly active blue," replied the bluerider, giving a soft ahem as he nodded his head, understanding. "We have little choice in the matter when it comes to many things. But it is not so bad, most of the time."
He smiled at the thanks, and tucking his hands into his pocket, I'lan nodded again. "My home Weyr was quite nice," he murmured, "and I was comfortable, but I heard the call for riders." Honesty was warm in his voice and in his gentle grey eyes. "I spoke about it with Luceth, and we decided we ought to go where we are needed... We had no particular attachment there, after all." He smiled slowly. "I am hoping we will settle in here more thoroughly." Still, a puzzled look settled over his features when he heard the other reply aloud.
"I... do not generally consider myself gullible," I'lan said, puzzled, his brows furrowing gently. "I suppose I have been called such on occasion..."
I'lanmine is not gullible, but he is stubborn. And he does not make decisions quickly, not ever. So, said Luceth with pleased relish, I make decisions for him.

"No it's not, not really." G'ail echoed with a smile, "Makes finding a lover difficult though, I admit. As much Flights are tolerated, people still get frustrated when the green can't settle."
"You'll settle in more thoroughly, I'm sure, if you can manage the cold." He chuckled then stopped and blinked, "Gullible? Oh! No, Senoth was looking for a word. Did I say that out loud? Sorry." Laughing softly, he ran a hand through his hair, embarrassed, "I wasn't talking about you... she's calling me gullible."
<<Mine is stubborn too, but not like Yours, I think.>> Senoth replied with a nod, <<And slower decisions might be better for Mine. He believes too easily. Yours should teach Mine to decide things less fast.>>
G'ail sighed then and shook his head, I make decisions fine, Senoth. I'm going to go eat something, please stop gossiping about me? Or at least brag about me?
Taking I'lan's arm, he turned them towards the kitchens, "Let's get something to eat. I think our dragons are too engrossed in gossip to stop at the moment."

Somewhat solemnly, I'lan nodded, watching G'ail from the corner of his eye and chuckling. "I think it will be pleasant here when I am used to the temperature," he agreed quietly. "And I am sure I say quite a lot out loud when Luceth flusters me." He bowed his head a bit in acknowledgment. "Though he does not often ask me for words. He will ramble ahead trying to explain what he meant..." A low, faint sigh escaped him, and a fond smile.
I do not ramble, informed Luceth archly, I am quite articulate. You just cannot keep up, I'lanmine. After a moment, Luceth gave a low, soft huff. Ours will be stubborn together, I think. Probably, no matter what we do. But I quite like you. The blue thrummed softly, frankly pleased with himself.
I'lan, well... was... mortified, but he let out a deep breath and smiled as his arm was taken hold of. "It is all right," he replied, firmly linking his arm with G'ail's with a smile. "I think it would be nice to have your company for dinner."
