It was really just dumb luck, as far as Do'al was concerned at least, when the flailing fool managed to kick him. It was a blow to his front leg and for a moment, he grimaced around the feathers and fur he was holding. Just as he was about to dive at him again, this time truly angered instead of just 'playful', he caught wind of the pair advancing towards them.
He turned just in time to stare at a pair of males that had sprung into a run in their direction. Do'al was a fighter, but he wasn't foolish - three against one wouldn't end well for him. So, after a small sneer directed at the goddess' son, he turned and ran for cover. He didn't think these lions would be so foolish as to follow him, but if they were that was their own misfortune. They had the advantage here, but his family wasn't so far away.
He disappeared through the shrubs of the savannah, carrying his prize with him.

Habu landed on the ground with a soft thump and braced himself, unaware of the approaching help. He was prepared for just about anything, trying to dodge just seemed like a bad idea when he could put his full strength into some counterattack. When nothing happened, he looked up and realized Do'al's attention was somewhere else-- and then he saw Tetemeko and Enzi running toward them. Then Do'al was gone.
Tete didn't need to see what was happening to jump into action, following after Enzi instinctively before he really got a sense of what was happening. He saw Wahabu standing there and a bright red lion looking ready to attack. He was thankful they were spotted, though he was confident between the three of them they could take on a single rogue. He didn't stop until he was several yards past Wahabu, looking off in the direction Do'al had gone.
Enzi was the one to stop at Habu's side, though his eyes were immediately on Tete and the direction the stranger had gone. Habu looked stunned, he realized, and he definitely was bleeding. They hadn't prevented a fight but it looked like they had gotten there just in time.
"Is he gone?" Enzi asked, looking back to Tete.
After a moment, Habu stood up straight- only to cringe at the pain in his middle from where he'd been struck. He looked out after where Do'al had gone, trying to understand everything that had just happened. He had obviously been looking for Wahabu himself, he had known who he was, asked about his mother.. so long as he had what he wanted, he wouldn't be back. Or so Wahabu hoped.
"Let's go," he muttered, thinking it a good idea to go in case two more lions didn't remain a convincing reason to stay away.
Tete didn't move for a couple minutes, the feeling of looming trouble fading away though the adrenaline lagged. He had to be gone, Tete was willing to put that much trust into whatever it was that gave him the intuition to come this way to start with. He nodded in response to Enzi, looking back to the other two. His tail waved behind him restlessly.
"Yeah, let's go," he agreed, wanting to ask what had happened but also wanting to get much closer to the rest of the pride now. Questions could come later, especially since Habu wasn't without injury.
Staying close to Habu's side, Enzi's wide eyes went back and forth between the two older lions. He was less of a fighter than the other two, and while he would put himself into danger for any of his family, he was happy to avoid it where possible. He nodded and stuck by Habu's side helpfully as they headed back for home.
