He frowned at her with a slight furrow of his brows, looking at once agitated and thoughtful as he tried to decipher truth from lies in this little concoction. He knew it wasn't all true by any means, but it was hard to separate fact from fiction.
"There's no way you went head to toe with a god, physically, even I'm not crazy enough to attempt that," his eyes narrowed a little as he shifted up into an upright stance, the wheels of his mind starting to turn. He flexed his claws into the earth, more out of reflex than anything else, as he tried to figure it out.
"You must have been playing mind games," he finally concluded, a soft smirk on his maw, "that's how I'd do it anyway." Still, behind that smirk, that look in his eyes was simple and pure irritation at her accusations. "The way I will do it, but I don't know anything about this mysterious goddess that bested you."

Amadet shrugged when he doubted that she had physically fought with the goddess, deciding not to correct him on that. She had, in fact, attacked Mtima'safi but it was the last thing she had done before being brought here and it had been entirely out of desperation. She liked to think it might have ended differently if she hadn't gotten her teeth caught on the ridiculous gold necklace but she couldn't be sure of that.
"I don't know where she went but I know how to find her," she said, "And I might be convinced to share." It wasn't always easy to find a god, if you wanted to cause trouble with one, it was best to go for one you could find.

"Are you really in any situation to be playing games with me?" he retorted quickly, eyes narrowing again and his chest puffing out a little for effect. He'd not retracted his claws yet, and he was fairly sure, after all of this, that the odds were in his favor.
"I think perhaps you should just tell me where she is, unless you'd like me to torture the answer out of you. Which, might I add, would also be a great deal of fun." But a lot of noise, no doubt, and he was quite aware that there were probably scouts that would be along in this jungle at any time now. Hadn't that been mentioned? He was sure it had.

"Not playing games, bargaining," she responded, but she didn't push that any further, well aware of the danger she was in, "There's one reliable way to find her and that would be to find her son, her mortal son. He lives in the Pridelands, which isn't hard to find, they have ridiculous numbers there." She smirked, thinking back on the entirety of her little adventure.
"She is very protective of him, he'd be the best place to start looking," she finished.

"I don't bargain," he replied quickly, finding that he was growing bored with her the more she tried to drag this out. If she knew what was good for her, she'd give him all the information he needed and count herself lucky that he didn't feel like playing games with her today.
"Pridelands," he nodded - he'd been there, it was hard to miss. "A name would be very helpful," the last word was full of all his annoyance, and an edge of that danger that seemed to radiate off his form. He was losing patience with her.

"Wahabu," she answered quickly, "He's bright yellow, with blue markings on his face and legs." She remembered well what he looked like, though she could barely remember the cubs she had here, she remembered the ones she had left behind in the swamp. She had known them more, had the chance to love them more. Still, she was taking a chance that none were now living with Wahabu or could end up somewhere between this lion and him.

Wahabu, a yellow and blue mortal, was the key to a goddess' undoing. How.. pitiful.
He paused for a moment before her, as if he was taking in the information she had provided and storing it away, then he simply snorted through his nose and turned his back on her. She'd provided him with something more entertaining to play with than a bunch of mortal warriors, so he'd repay her by letting her get away. Wherever she was trying to get away to.
He didn't even bother to look back at her as he exited the jungle, already thinking about what he'd be doing soon. He was only a little disappointed that he hadn't gotten to play with a warrior lioness, but all was well. Now, though? He was going to rally the troupe - he had a goddess to play with.

Amadet waited tensely as he stood there and only relaxed once his back was turned and he was several steps away. She wasn't sure he would do anything like she had suggested but she wasn't dead and that was a start. She stood there until she couldn't see him anymore, which was too long and soon she was sure she could hear footsteps coming from the opposite direction. She would get any farther away now, so she hurried off to head back around whatever she heard and back into the pride's lands. If something did happen, she was better off in the pride than having escaped.
