Koji's eyes widened "Ah. You are afraid. I see." He said. "I am sorry. We are foreigners, and we respect our women, no matter what their profession. I am sad to see it is not the same here." He said. "And really, that's how yours smell like? How disgusting. How do the men stand it? A well kept brothel is a happy brothel." He said.
"But I see that your job upsets you greatly. And I did not assume you a a call girl. A boy like yourself would not be working at a normal brothel. You're a prize, like a fine gem." He finished, standing at his full height.
Ani looked down sad, unable to say anything.

Today, it seemed, he just could not stop blushing.
"Thank you... I'm the only boy, besides the cooks, that works in the shop.. i was born there, so they put me to work... And.. Ani.. I'm really sorry I upset you.. I didn't mean to, honest.."

Ani hugged Qui Shui tightly and smiled. "It's okay" She said.
Koji smiled "Born to a life of misjudgment...I know the feeling all to well. I fought for so long...trying to hate myself...where I came from...what I was. Before I finally accepted it, and made the most of it. My advice to you is, though you may not love your background...Embrace it. It will shape you into the man you want to be."

A silent hug was given to Ani in return, before he quickly pulled away.
"Your words seem so full of hope.. Though perhaps they will work for you, they do not work for me. Even if I accept my work, my 'background', my life wouldn't get any better. As a child, I am not in control. Other's rule my life, torture every fiber of my being, and enjoying it when i get back up again. What kind of life is that?"

Ani nodded "Sorry Qui Shui." She said, wiggling slightly.

"It's fine, really, Ani. I like hugs, with them comes warmth." His smile was small, but true, and he nodded at the gentleman with Ani, who's name he had already forgotten in his temporary fit of anger.
"Thank you... I am trying hard... And.. I even have a dragon that is trying to help me.. He's my strength, my happiness, and my goal is to become his oneday.." There was no blush this time, for every word he spoke was true. That boy, that bluebell scented child was the one reason why he could still move with a smile. "I won't ever give up.. "

Koji's eyes widened in shock "...Dragon...? Maybe...he knows how I can get in contact with Sato..." He mumbled to himself. "I am proud of you. Someday you will run this town." He said.
Ani grinned happily "I love hugs...they're one of the best things in the world!" She exclaimed, having such a childlike innocence to her.

It was a rather plane dream, but he was working so hard, so earnestly towards it that nothing else in the entire world seemed to matter, not one bit.

Ani's eyes softened "You can always hug me." She bit her lip, like she knew the feeling of absolute love like Qui Shui talked about...but she couldn't quite grasp it fully, like it was a long, long time ago.

The sun was beginning to set low in the sky, and he had realized that he had taken much more time than he was supposed to.
"Ah! I'm sorry!! But I have to leave! I was supposed to return home a while ago.. My madame is going to be so angry with me... It was a pleasure meeting you both!"

With a deep, deep bow, he turned from them, rushing back to the shop, for a scolding and perhaps worse.. But He was glad that he had made a new friend. The world just got a little bigger for Qiu Shui.

Koji smiled down at her "I think he was like you Ani..." He said softly. "Now...remind me next time to ask him more about that dragon...We need to let Sato...know about you."
Ani closed her eyes "Sato...I...knew that name at one time." She said, pouting softly, as they went on their own way, Ani happy to have made a friend as well, even though she might not know him for long.
