The red-head's brow furrowed as she scrunched her nose up, looking over the strange object in front of her; A long, metal cylinder, with glass on both ends, more commonly known as a telescope to those who knew, but Ani, having just been...'born' or reborn as the proper term, had no idea what is was.
Ani had wandered far from Koji's watchful eye, and seemed to be in her own little world of mischief and mayhem, though she was polite and demure, she was, a klutz. And such an object like a telescope would be broken in no time in Ani's nimble, trouble causing hands. Luckily, the shop owner, already put-off by her red hair, and the fact she was an outsider, kept an eye on her, making sure she touched nothing, and only looked.
At her right were wall scrolls of elegant paintings, and wind chimes, catching the slight breeze and creating their own personal orchestra of music. On her left hung candle holders, to be hung from ceilings to create ambiance, something Ani didn't see the point of.
Back her attention was to the telescope, and what wonders and secrets it held, just out of her grasp, thanks to that shop keep and his un-trusting gaze he directed towards Ani.

Today was the first 'casual' day that Qiu Shui had ever had. He was no longer dressed up in elegant clothing, but the simple, street garb of a normal boy, his hair tide in a low braid at the base of his neck.
While out shopping for a list of items the Madame wanted, he was allowed to dress much more casually, as to not draw attention to himself and the vast amount of money he carried. Looking at the list held loosely in his hands, he saw that the madame wanted more chimes for the corners of the shop. Chimes were a symbol of prosperity and charm for the Madame, so they were always near the top of her list.
Entering the shop, Qiu Shui sniffed the air, a hint of rose dashed it unlike all the other times he had entered. The source seemed to come from a red-headed girl not to far from where he stood. A vague consideration that the girl could be like him crossed his mind, but women wore perfume so often, that it seemed impossible to tell.

A scent of something...how to describe...lustful, hit Ani like a ton of bricks. She turned her head back, cocking it to the side as she smiled at the young boy behind her. He was beautiful, soft features that were slightly feminine, that made him even prettier. She thought for a moment, almost thinking he was a walking china doll, because of his elegance. She seemed to glow with happiness, a general sense of bliss filling the area.
She walked over, finger tips pressed together on both hands as she leaned close to him, examining him more closely, not having a sense of boundaries, or personal space. She seemed to mouth inaudible words before she finally spoke up, her voice chirp, and child-like. "You're very pretty" She finally stated, nodding her head once. "You look like...a finely crafted doll. Or a goddess of beauty....or something." She wasn't much one for poetics, but she hoped she got her point across in a complimenting manner.

A goddess..? Really? That wasn't something Qiu Shui was told often, if ever at all. He was more often called a weed and someone who was worth throwing away, so a compliment of sorts was happily taken, even if the girl came up to him out of no where.
"Thank you, miss, though My mother is much more beautiful than I! You've quite lovely yourself, especially your hair~! It's so vibrant, like nothing I've seen before!" A light blush dusted his cheeks, causing the own of the shop to look at him with a bit of a hungry look. Noticing this, Qiu Shui stepped around the girl, near hiding behind her, thought it Was true that the chimes were on the other side of where she stood.
"My name is Qiu Shui. May I ask, what is yours?"

Ani grinned and rocked on her heels. "Well...I was told my name is Ani Nadaku..." She said, pondering for a bit. "So I suppose that's my name" She said, furrowing her brow a bit, her smile fading into a soft, child-like pout. Her gaze shifted to the shop owner, and she went red in the face with anger. "Don't you know it's very rude to stare at people like that...!" She said, a bit louder then she meant to.
"You're making my new friend feel weird, and that's...well...not very nice!" She continued, her hands on her hips. She didn't mean to be 'miss hero' it all sort of just came out.

The shop owner bristled, embarrassed that he had been caught, let alone by a mere child! Nonetheless, he simply turned away, going back to the task at hand.
Qiu Shui blushed even darker, tugging on the girls arm. "P-please, Miss Ani, don't do such things! I-I know that it's rude to stare, but it happens all the time. With what my job will be someday, It is a good thing that people watch me.." He let go of her arm, quickly taking his chimes to the counter. Out of an apology, the owner gave him a discount, patting his head before turning back to his work. Once he was finished, Qiu Shui turned back to Ani, smiling.
"Sometimes things just work out.."

Ani flushed and looked down "Well...Just because you're so pretty, doesn't mean people should look at you like that." She said softly, before lifting her head "Oh! What pretty chimes! I bet they make the most beautiful sound." She said, nodding her head. "Koji has all my money...so I can't buy anything...in fact...he's probably very cross with me...since I left his sight. He's probably looking for me" She admitted and a guilty glance down at her feet again.

Being called pretty once again made him giggle, hiding a shy smile behind his sleeve. "Thank you. They are to decorate my Madame's shop. She loves the sound of chimes, because she believes that it would bring the shop good fortune.
"Ah! Yes, that could indeed make a parent mad at their child.. Maybe if I come with you, he'll be a bit more understanding of the situation and not be too angry.." It was, after all, his fault that she had wandered away. It was always like this, him getting someone else into trouble..

"Alright! I want Koji to meet my new friend!" She said, taking his hand and rushing out of the shop. A few moments of looking around, and Ani saw the Tall blond man. He was very tall, but skinny, he was just as pretty as Qiu Shui, with soft, pale skin, golden hair, and ocean blue eyes. He quickly caught sight of Ani's bright red mane and let a sigh of relief out.
"Ani! There you are..." He said, walking over, looking down at Qiu Shui. "Hello. Are you a friend of Ani's?" He asked, smiling softly, but obviously still cross with Ani for running off.

Qiu Shui had never seen a blonde person before, and simply gazed at his hair, blushing a bit.
"U-um.. I think I am... I'm Qiu Shui, it's a pleasure to meet you." He bowed down low, before coming back up, the blush still there. "Um... She helped me when a shop owner was being rude... S-so please don't be mad at her for wandering away.. She really did help me out of a rather tough situation. And she even got me a discount on the chimes!"

Koji nodded, smiling. "Alright. I understand. Ani's always been a helpful person. Nosy, but helpful. My name is Koji. A pleasure to meet you." He said. "You are quite beautiful, you remind me of me at a younger age." He said with a small laugh. "You smell like a brothel...I assume that is where you work?" He asked, tilting his head to the side, rubbing Ani's head, causing her to blush and giggle.

"....." Qiu Shui didn't appreciate bringing his work into the conversation. "How do you know what a brothel smells like? Do you go to one?" He snapped a bit. He hated acting like this, but it just bothered him. He wasn't a whore! He wasn't one of them.. Even if he was being taught how to be.
"I don't think it's quite right to bring the workplace into a conversationi with a stranger. I'd rather talk about something less... Demurring than my place of occupation. And did it not cross your mind that I may be too young to work in such a place?"

Koji raised an eyebrow "Child, I have walked this earth for 30 years. I know what a brothel smells like. I also know that one of my dear friends works at one. Her and her mother. It is a fine profession, I find it fascinating. Beautiful women, that I, get to dress up and paint with makeup. I find it much like painting a picture. So if you snap at me because you think I look down upon you because of it, don't." Koji's eyes narrowed a bit as he studied him.
"As for your age, no. Where Ani and myself come from, girls go into such a profession young, as they are professionals."
Ani nodded "Oh yes! Cantarella and Prielle are the most beautiful women in the world! And they are the best call women!" She said, smiling brightly. "They're so pretty...with their frilly under garments, and their make-up..."
Koji smiled softly, remembering that when Ani was still alive, she would go to the whore house Cantarella owned, and try on some of her outfits.

These people... They made Qiu Shui twitch a bit... They seemed fake. So very fake.. Like they had no real personalities. Maybe he was quick to judge. And they spoke of such strange names. Their very presence seemed just as suffocating at the perfume at the shop.
"I take it that you are from strange lands.. The words you speak are unfamiliar with my tongue. And perhaps where you are from, the women are proud of what they do, but here, where I live, we have no choice.. We are captives in a world where most of us do not choose to be.." His words were barely above a whisper at this point, his own eyes narrowed at the larger man.
"And so you know, I am NOT a "call girl" or whatever you want to call it. I'm a mere servant. And I do NOT smell like a brothel. The smell of semen and heavy perfume does not cling to me."
