She smiled, "No I suppose I don't. But I am, well at least three fourths Vietnamese." Toying with her hair, she turned to find a near by seat to sit as his idea was so very nice and it would leave more then enough room for others. It shouldn't be too hard to find them when their order was ready.
"Well I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Mason, and hope you get the part." Toying with her hair, brown eyes watched him a moment. For split second she felt a bit of regret for not trying out, sure she had missed out on something nice. But it was gone as quick as it came.
"Hmm... Well I was thinking of heading back to my dorm so I could continue my homework. What about you?"

"That's cool," nodded Mason, who promptly found a seat right next to her - exactly the reason for his waiting to choose one. "I think I'm just white, ha - my sister's adopted, though, so I don't know about her."
The teen was not really planning anything after this per se, but it was always a good idea to sound like you had something in mind. "Mm," Mason murmured. "Probably earring-shopping," he decided. Now he had an afternoon all mapped out for him. "Unless you'd like me to accompany you?"

Blinking, she tilted her head a moment in thought. "... I wouldn't object to company, it's always nice to have some one around while eating. But I wouldn't want to intrude on any plans you made. So I guess that decision is really up to you."

"Let's do it, then," answered Mason, with an easy nod and the raising of his hands in a strange inexplicable motion. "I can go earring shopping anytime - I almost never accompany a young lady home after eating out."

A smile brushed her lips and she couldn't help a small giggle. "All right then. Company sounds wonderful." Maybe, for once, eating this food would be more like home then usual.
