Caloki couldn't believe the way this conversation was going. Temba was practically throwing herself at Kynon, she must be awfully desperate for company if she wanted him to stay around. She cocked a brow when Kynon mentioned about going for a walk. Ah yes this could work to her advantage, it would give her the perfect opportunity to slip away.
"Oh yes, we should go for a walk." She said, trying to sound happy about it, even though she knew Temba would ceratinly go for the idea without her imput. She stood and stretched out her muscles before looking at Temba. "You should show us everything."

Temba's smile grew when Kynon mentioned going for a walk. "That is such a lovely idea. There are so many beautiful places to see here, it will be hard to pick which ones to show you." She voice chirped with excitement. As she stood her shoulder brushed gently across Kynon's. It was so nice that he showed concern towards Caloki's well-being, the poor girl really did need some good friends.
She began to walk off but made sure the Kynon stuck close to her so she could chat about all the sights, sounds and smells that they would encounter. This left Caloki to bring up the rear of their little group." Come along then, there is much to see."

Kynon smiled broadly when Temba's shoulder brushed him. the girl really was quite an easy mark when it came down to it - if he was the type to feel badly about these sort of things he might feel guilty. But he wasn't and so the entire situation only made him chuckle inwardly. As they walked off Kynon made sure to stick close to Temba 'accidently' brushing her with his own hide a time or two as they moved,but lagged back slightly so that he could cast looks back at Caloki a time or two over Temba's back.
"It really is quite the beautiful place" Kynon remarked as he looked about - and that at least wasn't a lie - it was almost too bad he was burning some bridges here by stringing Temba along, it really might have been a place to visit now and again even if he didn't plan on settling down.

Caloki had to work hard to gain a little distance between herself and the other two as they took their walk around the meadow and surrounding area. Every now and then she would pause for just a few seconds longer to sniff a flower and enjoy the view that much longer. She didn't like the fact that Kynon was also deliberately lagging behind either. How would she make her get away if he was keeping an eye on her. Well she would figure that out soon enough and leave Temba to deal with his flirty ways.
"So how long have you lived here?" She asked Temba as they continued along. Not like she cared, but perhaps a little more conversation would aid in a distraction.

Temba continued to lead the trio to all of the highlights of the area. Making sure that even though he lagged behind a bit, that Kynon was right there with her. She did cast the odd glance back at Caloki but mainly it was out of politeness as she spoke about this spot or that. Whenever Kynon got a little too far away from her she would slow down and then almost push him along.
Her ears perked up at Caloki's question. "Oh it has been quite some time. I left my old home when I was old enough to take care of myself. When I came here I just knew this was the place that would be my home the rest of my life." They made their way through a bank of trees and were greeted by a large lake. It's waters were a light blue and not a ripple marked its almost glass like in appearance surface. The suns rays dances upon the edge of the lake causing small lines of reds and oranges to reflect upon the water. "And this," she said with a light sigh of content. "Is the best part of this place."

Kynon kept casting odd glances at Caloki as she kept stopping to look at things - because lets face it the brightly colored fox didn't really seem like the type to spend allot of time smelling the roses. It as hard to keep an eye on her all the time however when Temba kept hustling him around.
By the time they got to the lake Kynon was a bit annoyed with the brown female - although he didn't let it show, letting out a low whistle as he gazed out on the surface. "It is a beautiful lake" The male declared with a flourish of his tail 'Made even more so by the reflection it holds" Kynon concluded, pointing his muzzle at Temba's reflection on the still waters.

Caloki took her time making it through the bank of trees that lined the lake. This could very well be her opportunity to get away. She slowed her pace slightly, not only to give herself more room to run but also because she caught sight of the lake at the edge of the trees. Oh my yes it was beautiful. It's a shame she couldn't stay long. Seeing that Kynon was at least mostly distracted by the Lake and Temba's constant chattering she decided to take the opportunity to leave.
She walked back through the trees a few feet and then took off as fast as she could. Where she was going or where she ended up, well that was a detail she could figure out as she went. The main thing was she was getting away from all this.

Hearing Kynon's comment she smiled slightly. Oh he was such a charmer, she thought. Taking a deep breath she let her tail flicker against his lightly while looking out on the lake. She came her often to enjoy the beauty and tranquility that this spot offered. "Don't you think its beautiful Caloki?" She asked.
When no immediate answer came she turned around to look. Realizing that Caloki wasn't there she jumped to her feet. "She's gone!" She exclaimed to Kynon. "Do you think she got lost?" Worry crossed her voice as she spoke. "Oh we must look for her."

Kynon jerked his head around as Temba stated Caloki was gone. Indeed she was he thought to himself as his gaze darted through the tree's. Blast! and he'd been keeping such a good eye on her too - she was such a little trickster this one the male thought to himself. Temba's worried tones managed to break through at long last and Kynon cursed lightly under his breath because now he had to think of a way to ditch the female before following Caloki's trail.
"Never fear my sweet! don't let this ruffle your fur..I shall go and fetch her, surely she can't be far" Kynon remarked gallantly "you stay here in case she arrives in a few moments. I'll be right back!" He concluded before dashing off into the woods before the little brown female could come up with any questions.
No...to find Caloki.. because he surely didn't intend to return to Temba.

"Oh yes of course" She replied when Kynon told her to stay put. Yes it would do them no good to both go looking for Caloki and then have her show up only moments later. She watched the purple male run off into the trees. No doubt he would be able to find her, for he did appear to very very cleaver. She began to hum a merry tune while waiting for the others to return.
It was a little while later that Temba began to worry. Surely Caloki couldn't have gotten that lost. She had been with them as they entered the bank of trees. Had she deliberately left? Why would she do something like that? Perhaps she was so jealous of Kynon giving all his attention to her that Caloki just had to leave. Poor thing. But why had Kynon not returned, surely by now he would have realized that Caloki was not lost and should have come back to the lake. Then it dawned on her. She had been strung until by his charm and good looks. All this time she had been stupid enough to believe his words.
Sighing she stood and began to slow walk back to her den. She put on a happy face to hide her shame and sadness for she didn't want any of the other foxes to know what had happened. Once inside her den she let everything out, tears ran down her face as she realized that Kynon had used her to get to Caloki. She would not fall for something like that again.
