Looking up to him, Flame was dumbstruck not to find him laughing or giving her any notion that he thought that she was crazy. Should he have? After a point, the female may have started to believe it herself. Fleeing from things that she couldn't touch, that she knew couldn't be around but thought plagued her. "I don't know. Me, I suppose." She answered meekly, glancing about her as though the memories would return and materialize about her. The ache in her chest, the heavy lead-like feel in her feet and shoulders, weighing her down. Flame shuddered, name-sake fur fluffing out before laying back neatly into place on her back.

Though she felt fooled and a pang of what at first she thought hurt at the appeared mockery, the honesty in his face and words changed her. Chancing a relieved laugh, the female couldn't help but at least for a moment feel safer by him.

"You know, my uncle is a Seer. And my Grandfathers brother, he is a Shaman of shadows. The shadows speak to him, and he says that the ghosts of the forest dwell with the living ever day."
He nodded, as if trying to relieve her by letting her know, not only did he believe her.. But he believed in it as well. He knew there were ghosts around the forest floor, and calling in the trees.

"Once you prove to yourself that the ghosts are working with you, then you can be at peace."
He said, quoting his uncle. It was obvious he was close to his family, but it was even more obvious that he was trying ot make her feel more comfortable.
She shouldnt have been made to feel stupid because she believed in something no one could actually PROVE false.

The mention of a shadow Shaman showed alert in the female's place immediately. Past memories, those so old she only remembered certain sights, a calming voice. Bright emerald eyes and a shadow that wasn't a shadow. "He...." Flame swallowed softly, willing the words to come out clearly. "Could he disappear? Into the shadows." Her question came out more as a hurried statement, but her bi-coloured gaze was more intense than it had at all before.

Inside, she hoped what she'd asked wasn't a foolish question, that her memory wasn't a long-ago dream, or some bit of overimagination in her childhood. The female had a hard time believing however, that the ghosts would work with her. They didn't seem to be in the trees, or this forest. They were in her mind.

He shook his head with an honest chuckle.

"Oh no, of course not. He can dissappear if you take your eyes off of him." He responded.
"Because hes black and blends, but not because he has any powers. He just speaks of the shadows and such."
He answered, hoping he hadnt scared her.

He stood, and looked at her with a bright smile.

"So Flame, lets do something. I dont want to scare you, because if anything should bother you, Im here to stop it."
He said, standing proudly and sticking out his chest.

As he dismissed the question and moved onto another topic, Flame felt quite silly. Her outright eagerness and pushy attitude towards the question was very unlike her, even if she was interested. Her tail flicked against the back of her leg thoughtfully as she looked at Tada with his big smile.

His offer was almost too good to be true, and cautious to that point she watched him for a moment. "Whatever you would like." Flame replied softly, still a little surprised at this change of pace.

Blinking her eyes she looked over the male. Though she had never asked before when he had, she realized that she was curious to see why he himself was out here. All alone, at least. These weren't his lands, and the femme couldn't think of why anyone would choose to be alone in the world. Unless there was something wrong with him. The fear rumbling in her belly grew with that thought of doubt, but she couldn't believe it.

He hadnt felt she had been pushy, and he smiled at her. She was so innocent in her personality. She feared the unnatural, and maybe her ghosts, were not ghosts or shadows at all. Maybe they were her past, trying to catch up with her.
He offered a kind nuzzle to her neck fluff, though it wasnt really affection so much as to comfort her.

"Do you like to hunt, or play games? Or.."
He looked around looking for anything to entertain them. He wanted to show her a good time, and he felt badly at not being creative enough to come up with things better than the things he had mentioned..

The male had not been banished from his pack, he had not left them for good. He had left for a good walk, wanting to escape the lands of his birth, for just a while.
He would return home, to a kind family that he was always happy to return to.

"I..." Flame felt her breath suck in and her body stiffen as the male moved against her, only after a moment of fear did she realize it wasn't an attack but a cuddle. Flushed, she backed out and offered him an apologizing smile, knowing the words wouldn't come out correctly no matter how many times she tried to run them through her head. She knew it was meant as a comfort, but she still hadn't built enough trust to accept it blindly.

Bi-coloured eyes looked about as he did as the female stumbled to recall her thought. She was so forgetful sometimes! It bothered her, but of course, everyone had their faults. She just dwelled on hers more than normal. "A walk?" Flame queried softly. "Would be nice." She added quickly, swallowing.

He nodded, standing and waiting for her to stand before he asked his question.
"Do you know the area? We could explore it if ya like."
He smiled, his eyes growing bright at the idea of possibly being able to have an exploring companion.
Yes, he was rather like a pup, but he was an adult in body and soul..Yet his mind and heart betrayed the older boy.

"So, do you have any family?"
He asked, waiting for her once more to answer the first question. He didnt want to go anywhere, if she maybe had something else in mind.

A walk would be good, she nodded in response automatically. Walks are calm, walks are easy, noncommittal. Running would do her no good than to frighten her even unintentionally, a game would make her think she was being attacked. She was sure of that. But walks, she could handle a walk.

"Oh. No, no I don't." The female responded, just realizing what had been asked of her. And it made her less certain to 'explore' if he didn't either. Exploring had been a thing her siblings had done, the seldom times she had tried she'd ended up racing back to the safety of the dens and curling up in her mother or father or Aunt Tiah.

"...know where. I do, I did." Her words were muddled and she shook her head quickly as if to free up her thoughts. Looking up to Tada she nodded once again. Yes, she did have family. What she didn't have at this moment, however, seemed to be a clear mind.

So she used to have family. Maybe they were her ghosts that plagued her. Poor girl. He was determined not to let this upset her too gravely.
He was sorry he had picked such a sore topic.

"I'll put that on a list of things that are tender subjects." He smiled softly, looking back at the earth at his paws. When he looked back up at her, he was looking up at her with a softer smile.

"So where to goo.." He hummed to himself, before the grove that his sister thought was all her own came to his mind.

She wouldnt like that he shared it, but she didnt have to know.

"I know of a beautiful place.. if you wanna see it."

Making decisions flustered her somewhat. Flame was obviously quiet and preferred to follow others' leads. No blame would fall to her, she knew, and she was always safe under her sibling's company. "I...." But of course what argument could she make against it. She wouldn't want to bother Tada! with just standing here all day and hearing her talk[the little she did of it]. Besides, it had been her idea to move off for a walk.

The femme nodded quickly. If he wanted to go that was, she wouldn't be adverse to it.

He wouldnt have minded just sitting there and hearing her talk. He was always a good listening type. He smiled warmly, and wagged his tail, trying to lift her spirits.

"We can do whatever you want. Lets go ahead and start in the direction of my favorite spot, and if we find something before we get there. Then we will stop and look at that. Deal?"
He asked, with a happy bark.

"Mhm." Her look slightly bewildered at her point in decision making, but perhaps slightly warming to the idea she nodded. What she couldn't grasp, however, was how, even out seemingly alone in the forests, he was just so happy. Whatever kept him going was a secret Flame was sure she wanted to learn.

"What...is exactly your favourite spot?" She ventured not soon after they started to move. There was no use not talking to him, her unexpected traveling companion. Besides, the silence of the forest, once thought on safe lands to be healthy and secure, now set her off ease.

The female knew it was beautiful, but 'beauty was in the eye of the beholder', wasn't it? Or some saying of the kind. "If, it's not supposed to be a surprise."
