"Ammy! Move!" Raina called but it was too late, the ghost pokemon's hypnosis hit the raichu dead on and soon the mouse pokemon had slumped to the ground in a heap, still breathing but definately out of commission for the time being. Perfect... just what they needed, how could she have forgotten that trick? With not much else for a choice Raina gritted her teeth and stared on at the now one-sided battle while praying for Amaryllis to wake up before it was too late.

Nerezza saw the psychic beam hit the Raichu and she cried out in delight. "Gastly gast-gastly!" "Thank you! Yesss!" Energy renewed, she floated to her trainer and licked her happily, then got off of her and awaited the next command. Though she had a good feeling on what it was...
Like her Gastly companion, Opal let out a little whoop of joy when the sleeping attack hit. Now all they had to do was to whittle down the Raichu's HP before it woke. Not the easiest thing in the world. But at least they now had a fighting chance. Now to unleash their secret move. "All right, Nerezza! Dream Eater!"
Nerezza, still breathing heavily, but now pumped up on the energy of a possible win, heard the command. She floated quickly to the Raichu and, using her psychic powers once more, sucked some of the HP out of the Pokemon, adding it to her own.
300/800 HP ((added from the Dream Eater attack))

Raina watched as the gastly did what she had predicted, dream eater, how convenient. It would take away Amaryllis' strength while allowing the ghost to regain her own. Just what they needed, if only the raichu would wake up...

Opal smiled as the attack hit. Maybe now the two would have a chance. "Once more, Nezza! Dream Eater!" Nerezza again floated to the sleeping Raichu to take some of it's HP for her own. In the back of her mind, the Gastly hoped that her opponent would be asleep for as long as possible.

Amaryllis was still asleep but she kept writhing on the ground as the nightmares took hold and then, dissapeared, and then came back again. Just what was going on here anyway?
Raina just watched on in despair as her raichu became weaker and weaker each turn she remained asleep and she hoped that her pokemon would wake up soon so she could have a chance to retaliate.

Nerezza could feel the strength returning to her. She felt lighter and was floating a little higher from the ground. With the prospect of victory in sight, she went in for one more Dream Eater.
Opal could see that her Gastly was looking better, and that gave her hope. As long as Nerezza was okay, so was she. The woman wiped her eyes of the previous tears and watched as Nerezza went in for a Dream Eater once more.

Amaryllis started to show signs of awakening, she twitched in response to the sounds around her and her eyes fluttered as if she was struggling to wake up from a dream. Raina saw this and knew that if her pokemon could just hang on she might have a chance at revenge. "C'mon Ammy, you can do this." she whispered to herself.

Opal continued to coax Nerezza when she saw the Raichu's eyelids flutter. "Be careful, Nezz! And try one last Dream Eater!" Nerezza saw the waking Raichu begin to stir, and so she went in for yet another Dream Eater.

Raina watched sadly as the gastly unleashed another powerful dream eater attack and, instead of waking, Amaryllis stilled in her sleep, her strength finally completely gone. Reaching for the great ball on her belt Raina pressed the button and returned her raichu to her ball. Two lost battles in one week, both against ghost types, it occured to the young trainer that she needed to work on her strategy.
"That was a good battle, I can see I still have work to do. I look forward to battling with you again. For now, I'm taking her to the pokecenter. See you around!" Raina called to her opponent before rushing out of the stadium towards the nearest pokecenter.

Opal smiled sadly. It was a good fight. For a while, she was sure that Nerezza was going to lose, but the duo's luck seemed to take a turn for the better. She saw the Raichu return to her trainer and she smiled, both sympathetically and kindly. "I understand. She's a very good fighter, and you are an excellent trainer. Me and Nerezza have a lot to learn yet, too." The girl looked to her Gastly for confirmation of this fact, and the Pokemon nodded. Opal turned back to her defeated opponent. "See you 'round!"
Opal watched as the trainer left the room and she sighed. "She's a very good trainer... I sure we can learn some stuff from her, huh Nezz?" The Gastly floated at her usual place by her human's right shoulder. "Gast gastly!" Opal smiled at her companion, and the two walked out of the stadium, both happy that they had won.
