Shrantic The two people at the end of the range using pistols were just goddamn awful. On was making 1'6" groups at TEN YARDS with a M1911. Oh, I see we've met... xd Yeah, I can't shoot a handgun worth s**t. Unless it has optics. Then I'm golden. No idea why. Optics make the trigger jerk go away.

"So this is how liberty dies..."
Rommel makes a greatly fabulous fantastical point. I would have said it if he hadn't already. And Floyd makes another great point. Sometimes it's not the person's fault, I've had plenty of "good" firearms shoot like sh*t. I, personally, think that the older weapons are more reliable and live up to their names [the civilian versions, anyway.]
"... with thunderous applause." Padme Amidala, SW Episode III: RoTS

Shrantic The other was making 6" groups at 10 yards with some kind of .22 handgun, though I could understand that because he was probably firing off-hand. (His right arm was in a cast.) This is good practice. We should all do this someday. Never know when you'll break your right arm and have to shoot southpaw. ETA: WHAT THE ******** JUST HAPPENED? Check the timestamps... THIS POST SHOULD NOT BE HERE.

Yeah, I noticed its a bit difficult to aim right with milspec irons.

I jerk the trigger horribly, but for some retarded reason, if you put a scope on a pistol I can hit the target again. Also, check the very top of this page. For some reason my latest reply got jammed all the way up there.

I can't hit the broad side of a barn with the sights in the .30-06 we have, but can make a 5" group using the scope. (It's not a very accurate rifle, unfortunately.) No, for some reason, it makes me stop jerking the trigger. Either that, or it makes the trigger jerk stop being an issue, I can't tell. It's strange... I shot a bunch of calibers today, and the only gun I jerked was the P22. Even the Ruger Mk. III I didn't jerk, and I tried two .380's, a .44, and a 1911... none of those I jerked either, but in the past I've jerked all 9mms and my Buckmark... except the Glock I fired that had a Docter on it. I dunno, maybe I'm just crazy. Quote: Quote: Also, check the very top of this page. For some reason my latest reply got jammed all the way up there. Inorite? Fukkin' weird.

ARs are suprisingly easy to use backwards. The only hard parts are dropping the magazine, and single-loading rounds. I just have problems trying to use my left eye. I USED to be left-eye dominant, WTF? This shouldn't be so hard...
