"Dammit, blocked it again, guess i should have known." he said as he started to come to his feet. he saw the attacks coming at him all at once, he raised his sword to block Kasen's own, while bringing his sheath up under it in a way that would not only block the knee strike but would hopefully-with the added use of his forearm-deflect the sheath attack as well. Unfortunately, the sheath still connected. It was deflected upwards and connected with the side of Kyo's head, in a dazing blow that sent him reeling backwards while at the same time he tired to use the momentum of the attack to throw Kasen over his falling body and give him a chance to recover at least a little bit before the next onslaught.

Kasen felt the sheath touching his knees as he was flying over Kyo's body as land was coming in sight. Landing slightly unbalanced, Kasen regained his composure after a few seconds to turn to see Kyo as he tried to yell at him before mumbling something out. Once more, he tried to tell him something. "You're suppose to be unconscious, so go down why don't cha?" Kasen asked as he was beginning to get bored without using his fullest force.

Kyo struggled against the black spots that threatened to cloud his vision and came to his feet, swaying slightly as his vision swam. "hehe, i know that, but i'll be damned if i dont make you work a little bit first." he laughed weakly, "besides you know you'd enjoy a fight, rather than have this be easy." he said as his vision became a little clearer. he doubted he would last long but he wanted to fight, he needed to fight. he brought his sword up with a smirk and waited for Kasen to make his move.

"Then let me show you a hint of where you'll be going then." Kasen said in a deep growl as he pulled out two more cards as he revealed them. "Three of Diamonds and Hearts." Kasen said as they suddenly incinerated into pure red reiatsu as it melted its physical form. The red energy suddenly ignited as it was becoming similar to living flames, however the flames were recreating themselves into a whole new shape as an arrow was taking shape. "Kasen." He spoke as his technique was named ironically named after himself as it was burning with a deadly passion to strike down whoever met its piercing form. "My arrow may be weaker in this storm, but even so it should be deadly."
Kasen placed the arrow at the guard of his katana as he was raising the blade above his head. Swinging down in a quick cleaving strike, the arrow left the metal blade as it was now on a hunt to strike down Kyo. The glowing red arrow was flying through the rain as each drop made a small sizzling sound, however this flame was pure reiatsu and was not going to be stopped by simple drizzle.

Kyo tensed as he saw the arrow form, remembering what had happened the last time Kasen used this attack against him. "I remember this attack, albeit this is a different way of manifesting it but i'll never forget that attack." he said as he raced through several ideas on how to combat it based on his last experience. "Hado #4: Byakurai!" he shouted as a burst of white lightning shot form his fingers and raced towards the arrow. this one was much more powerful than the last one as he poured a large amount of reiatsu into it.

Kasen gave a grin as he pulled out his final 'three' card as it was the three of clubs. The reason he was pulling it out was what was coming next, the arrow's special ability. The lightning bolt raced to the arrow as it met in a large shocking strike which was truly a mistake. The arrow's thin skin was suddenly torn by the lightning as it exploded into a large flaming pyro as its devastation was unleashed consumed the area between Kyo and where Kasen was. Taking the cover before Kyo would have a chance to let the smoke and fire dissipate, Kasen suddenly crushed his card into a black power as he sprinkled it over his katana. The powers of darkness now lied in his katana, however he needed to act quick as this enhancement lasted as shortly as it came.
Kasen used shunpo to appear behind Kyo as he had given them distance to counter. Running a bit now, he held his katana up as the ominous glow was starting to flicker as he jumped upwards and slashed down with heavy force as he was coming to strike Kyo down.

Kyo was slightly in awe at the destructive power the arrow had unleashed. "Its a good thing that it didnt hit me" he thought as he tried to look past the flames and smoke to see what Kasen was doing, he had a feeling that something was about to happen. he heard feet moving towards him and turned to see Kasen rushing towards him with his sword poised to strike, he noticed the way the sword glowed and it gave him a bad feeling. Kasen was too close for him to have any hopes of dodging the attack so he brought his sword up to block it. "Hado #1: Sho!" he cried as he released the kidou in hopes of knocking Kasen back before the sword came into contact with him. he had a feeling it wouldnt be a good idea to come anywhere near that sword.

Kasen was suddenly feeling the kidō affect him as he was being pushed back in the air as he saw Kyo getting farther away as he was moving a few feet into the air. Flipping backwards, he landed on his feet as his blade dropped out of his hand into the ground as a small 'thud' was heard as the blade pierced the ground half an inch. Kasen landed on the ground a moment after his katana fell as he was looked at Kyo with dark eyes. "It's time we end the warm-ups shall we?" Kasen asked as he was getting bored of using all these small tricks.

Kyo took a deep breath and got his breathing under control. He wanted to be smug that he was holding his own so well, but that would be arrogant and he knew that Kasen was holding back still. As Kasen's words reached his ears, Kyo nodded. "Yea, warm ups...right hehe." he muttered to himself. He was feeling more worked out than warmed up but he wasnt about to let Kasen know that. He was determined to push himself as far as he could before he fell into unconsciousness and attempted to achieve shikai.

Kasen took out a deck of cards as he shuffled them in his hands, however the deck was four cards short as they were already used up. These cards released an ominous glow of black and red as they were full of Kasen's and his zanpakuto's reiatsu. Shuffling the cards until they were ready, he spread the cards in his hands as he looked at them and took out the next level of cards. "Four." Without saying the suits, he only needed the number as all four suits of the 'Four' cards were thrown. The cards glowed as they sought out their victim to destroy while Kasen only smirked.

Kyo saw the four glowing cards flying towards him, "That doesnt look good. hehe to think all this could be over this soon in the battle." he muttered as he gathered his reiatsu. "Hado #4: Byakurai!" he cried as a burst of lightning shot from his hand towards the cards. He hoped it would destroy at least one of them in not set off a chain explosion due to the reiatsu within each card. he figured they were stronger than the last one Kasen had used, so if he destroyed one, he might just take em all out in one blast...that might just kill them both. he gathered his reiatsu again just in case he needed it.

Kasen grinned as Kyo unexpectedly walked into his trap as each a single card exploded by the lightning causing all of them to be exploded as a dark flame was roaring from the cards as an ominous fog was created with the fire. "Fool...." Kasen whispered as some traces of reiatsu were unused as he tried to gather enough of it to form something, however Kasen simply ran through as he looked at Kyo with a dark stare. "Bakudō #1, Sai!" Kasen shouted as soon Kyo will realize the effects of this kidō.

Kyo recognized the kidou too late, and his arms became locked behind his back. He sighed, "Well damn, guess thats it for me." he said, not even bothering to struggle. he was worn out as is and knew he had no hopes of breaking the kidou. He stared ahead at Kasen with a smirk on his face as he waited for what was coming next.

Kasen walked up to him taking a deep breath as he sheathed his katana. "You caused me some trouble, that's something you're going to regret." Kasen said as he held the sheathed blade up as he gripped the handle with both hands as he was holding it above Kyo's head. "Say good-bye, and hello..." Kasen said as he brought his sheathed blade down with enough force to knock someone out coldly as the metal-mixed rubber would suddenly find a clanging bang knocking on its front door.

Kyo couldnt help but smirk as Kasen spoke, but his smugness didnt last long as Kasen's sheath slammed into his head and immediately his vision swam. He felt dizzy as everything began to spin, he realized he was falling backwards, but everything went dark before he hit the ground.
Spirit world ()or inside Kyo's head.. where ever this takes place)
Kyo opened his eyes to find himself falling through the sky, all around him a severe thunderstorm raged, the sound of the thunder was deafening and the flashes of lightning blinding. from somewhere within the storm he heard a voice. "Kyo, wake up Kyo. Dont tell me your content to just fall to your death." the voice spoke condescendingly. Kyo looked around for the source but couldnt find it. "Who are you? and where are you? Show yourself!" he yelled at the voice.
Out of the clouds around him, a large tiger appeared. "I am a part of you, Kyo. Are you telling me that you don't know who i am?" The tiger spoke with a growl. "Your...am i supposed to know you?." Kyo replied after a moment as he stared at the beast floating beside him.
