Nix waited at the shore until the last of the Kits safely boarded the makeshift
bridge. The first of the Kits that crossed was already close to the other side.
She flew alongside the Kits, ready to help any if they fell.
She saw a glimmer of bright purple out of the corner of her eyes before it
stroke. The purple lightning hit the bridge and it crumbled.
She grabbed the Kit nearest to her, the one named Los. Nix acted quickly,
but she wasn't quick enough. Logs and Kits fell into the dark waters below.

Star didn't turn around, but he could sense another kit following him with a torch. He continued crossing the bridge, in fear of falling off again. Finally, he stopped, and was near the end, when he said, "Thanks." Suddenly, he felt a sudden tension in the air. And suddenly, he knew he shouldn't have stopped, he should have continued crossing. Because there was no bridge, no ground beneath him anymore for him to stand on. He was plunging into the cold, dark water he would have fallen into before but hadn't. Yet, he had anyways. How ironic.
He fell into the river, the cold water soaking his fur. Star had always been a good swimmer, but the river's currents were really strong. He fought against it, but soon realized that it was hopeless. He tried to stay afloat and grabbed at boulders, wreckage, anything he could hold on to. Eventually, he managed to grab onto a fallen tree. He leaped onto it and landed on the other side. He shook some of the water out, so it would lessen the chance of him getting hypothermia before looking for any other kits that needed help.
(OOC:yeah that was extremely short for me XD)

Koko walked behind the young male Kitalpha, carefully keeping the torch light shining where they both could use it. She heard the Kit that was late walking behind her, having turned slightly to see who it was. She turned her attention to the silver Kit in front of her when he stopped and said thanks. With a smile she was about to respond when the air charged with electricity, making her fur stand on end. She saw the purple lightning just as it struck the bridge and sent the others and her into the river below.
Koko caught a glimpse of the late comer in Nix's arms right before she was swept under the rushing water by the current. She twisted her body urgently when she was flipped onto her back while under and managed to brake the surface to breath. With quick scans of what was around her she saw a low branch that was close to her position and forced her way over to it with difficulty. Managing to grab onto the branch she clung to it as tight as she could with her arms and the top of her tail. Koko tried to pull herself up but couldn't just yet, having spent to much energy trying to swim from towards the middle of the river to closer to the river bank. With an unhappy groan she just clung to the branch while looking around to see if either some one could help her or if some one else needed her help.

Star saw the dark blue kit that had the torch from before. He saw that she needed help. Running over, he grabbed the scruff of her neck(hehe I've been reading too much of the Warriors series XD) and pulled. It was easier for him to pull her out without falling because he was a bit taller. He kept pulling, knowing that the added weight from the water in her fur wasn't helping and neither did the currents. However, he knew that he had to help his, well friend was a bit too much, fellow adventurer? Yeah, that sounded a bit better. Well, he had to help his fellow adventurer out of the water.
Once he had managed to, and the both of them were on land,(sorry if that's kind of like godmoding...) he apologized. He realized that if he hadn't stopped, if he hadn't thanked her, which sounded a bit weird, but if he hadn't, then the both of the wouldn't have ended up in the river. "I'm sorry that I stopped."Star started. "If I hadn't stopped, we both would have made it to the other side and we both wouldn't be soaked in water." He waited for a reply as well as for Nix to come find them. After all, he assumed that the torch had landed in the river as well, it would have been miraculous if it had survived, and they couldn't have possibly found their way to wherever they were heading to or back without light or the guide of Nix.

(It's alright, I would have most likely done the same simply because it's hard to post in length while rescuing someone. XD I love the Warriors books)
Koko had instantly noticed when the silver Kit started to help her and tried to be as much use to him as possible. It took quite a bit out of her by the time she was out of the water and on to the, mostly, dry land. She sat there on the ground close to the other Kit so she could see him better in the darkness. "You don't have to apologies for stopping, you had no way of knowing that the lightning would strike at that time." Koko gave a small smile. "After all, you don't control the lightning."
She looked around at the shadows to try and find any of the others but could only see a few feet in all directions before it was too dark. "I hope the others are alright. I saw Nix catch the late one but the two behind him fell in as well I think." she frowned in thought. "Do you think was should try to find them or walk back up the river bank in hopes that we will find Nix close by?" she asked the silver male beside her before shaking a bit of the water off, careful not to splash her rescuer.

What should I do with him, should I bring him back to shore? she
pondered. There's no time. The others might drown in its currents while
you're saving one Kit! Nix dove down full speed ahead with Los
dangling in her hand behind her. Her eyes darted every which way, trying
to catch a glimpse of furry.
She spotted two Kits on the shore, safe. I don't have to worry about
them, what about the others? Her gaze fell back to the river, but just
then, she realized she was still hanging onto the Kit. She stumbled in the
air and fell a few feet down. He was getting heavy.
Nix dropped him next to the other two on the shore. "Stay close, you
three. If you see any others floating down the river, try to help them if
you can, otherwise call to me." With that, she darted back into the
skies to search once more.

Koko looked up when Nix flew over and set the black furred Kit down with the silver furred Kit and her. The midnight blue Kit nodded to the fairy after she requested them to stay together and to help the others if we saw them. She turned to the clothed Kit after Nix flew off and eyed him for any injuries the best she could in the dark. "Are you alright? It looked like she caught you but weren't you close to the lightning strike?" she asked worriedly.
Koko then turned slightly to study the dark river beside them. "Where can they be?" she asked her self, mind focusing half on the Kit in front of her and the other half worried for the missing two Kitalpha's. She glanced back to the Kit that rescued her and then looked around for any sign of light. "Do either of you know how far down we are from where we were crossing?"

Sorry XD Lots and lots of hw x_x
Star saw Nix land, with the kit that had arrived late. He saw he put him down gently and tell them to help any other kits who had ended up in the river as well. Star waved as Nix left them once again to go look for more kits. Sighing, Star turned to the other two with him. "It must be hard for Nix; she probably hadn't thought we would all end up in the river." Star mused, not to anyone specifically. "Maybe we should look for the other kits? I don't know how far we are from where we first started, but it couldn't have been two far couldn't it? If we ended up here, and the other kits were in the water longer than we have been, then they're probably further down the river."
Star started running towards the direction the river was heading. He waited for the other two. Star didn't want to be lost and alone and he figured it would be better to be with the others since Nix had told them to. It was really really dark, and they had lost all of their light sources. He squinted up at the ground in front of him, making sure he wouldn't slip back into the river. No need to cause more trouble right? But it was getting tiring to keep running and tripping into rocks and tree roots and the idea of surfing the river on a plank of wood became more tempting...

(Understandable ^^ lol I keep catching myself talking like Spock xd *Had seen the 2009 movie yesterday for the first time*)
Koko turned to the silver furred male next to her when he started to talk and listened to what he was saying. She tilted her head in thought, his hypothesis seemed likely that the others were farther down. She nodded to herself when she decided that even as tired as she was, she was going to help the others! Koko stood from where she sat and stretched for a second then, with a brief look at the other Kit, started to run with her rescuer to find the others. As they ran she listened for anything out of the ordinary that might lead to the others.
Koko kept her eyes on the ground at the farthest point she could see so she knew when to jump over the rocks and roots in her path. Most of the time she succeeded but sometimes she almost tripped, at one point she has to use her tail as an anchor to keep from diving face first to the ground. With each step she took she felt her body ache and burn with exhaustion but she pushed onward to help the others, refusing to give up but wishing she could lie down and fall asleep.

It all happened before he could fully realize what exactly was going on. One moment he was anxiously waiting to get off the bridge and the next he was in the fae's arms, narrowly avoiding being plunged into the depths of the dark waters below him. He was too much in shock to even thank his savior before she'd deposited him on the banks, his eyes wide. The bolt had almost seared him. The light he'd seen from it gave him no comfort as all other light normally did. This light made him a bit uneasy.
Words were said to him, he knew that. As to what they were, that was what was lost to him. He could've died. The lightning could've hit him or he might've fallen into the water, swept away by the currents to drown cold and alone. He watched the other two run down the river as the faerie darted to and fro in attempts to save the others with them.
Maybe he shouldn't have come...
'NO!'
What was he saying? He was Los, adventurer and fire-dancer, danger was in his nature. Blinking back to reality he realized the other two had set off to aid Nix in saving the others. He galloped after them to aid their efforts.

Star turned around to see the redish kit catch up to him. He waved his tail in greeting, not wanting to stop and surprise anyone and because it would be hard to see if Star had nodded his head instead. It was getting really tiring to run around so much and trip and all, he said, "Stop." before stopping himself, giving the others a warning so they all wouldn't end up in a huge pile of kits. "There has to be an easier way to navigate through here. We might even have missed a kit back there without being able to see him or her. Any ideas?" he said, turning around to face the other two.
While silently thinking and waiting to see if the others had anything to say, Starlight looked around him. Well, to the best of his ability. There wasn't much to see in the dark forest besides the trees, the river, dirt, fields of grass, and occasional boulder as well as smaller pebbles along the place they walked. Where could Nix be? he thought.
Think that was shortest so far x_x

"Ugh, wet! Wet wet wet!" Elysiana complained as she struggled to keep her head up above the water. She hadn't actually intended to join this group of adventuring investigators -- in fact, she'd merely woken up from a nap after the call had gone out, saw the group pass by, and decided to tag along in hopes of making a friend or two. She'd gone relatively unnoticed until now, a fact that both disappointed her and was now working against her as she tried to stay afloat.
Also not helping the pink, heart-speckled Kit was the fact that she really couldn't swim. She hated water, and thus being in a deep, flowing river of the wet stuff wasn't doing her much good. However, complaining instead of saving her breath for swimming was probably an even worse idea, especially when her entire body plunged under the water for a moment, leaving only her heart-spotted nose above the surface until she struggled up again. No, this definitely wasn't her best decision. She should have realized that going on a scary adventure just in hope of making friends wasn't a good idea!
Oh well, it was too late now. She could mentally gripe at herself once she was out of the deathtrap of wetness. Which, she realized as she was swept under again and rolled upside-down by the current, wasn't going to be very easy.

Koko heard the clothed Kit join the small group as they ran through the trees by the river bank. She saw out of the corner of her eye when the silver furred Kit waved his tail in greeting to the black furred one and did the same. She felt like she would collapse by the time the impromptu leader called them to a halt. With a grateful sign she sat down and panted as she listened to his words. She closed her eyes in thought, mulling over a possible solution for their trouble.
As Koko thought her right ear twitch as she picked up something. She turned to the river and thought she saw something pink in the water and, with out looking at the others, dashed off farther down. She saw a fallen tree in the water that lead out to some rocks and she jumped onto them. Koko spotted a pink Kit in the water coming towards her and she positioned herself to grab her with her tail.

Burble... burble...
Getting back to the surface was getting harder and harder. Elysiana was nearing the end of her strength. Getting above the water one more time, she spotted a tail on her direction and tried to get to it, blinking furiously around the water drops in her vision. "Help! It's wet! It's wet!" she called out, then went under again. Kicking and scrambling for all she was worth, she just couldn't seem to break the surface again.
'Water, why do you hate meeeee~?' she thought as she continued her weakening struggle to get out of the water. 'Help? Please, hurry, someone, anyone, the water's trying to eat me!'

Star saw the dark blue kit run off towards the river. He saw where the other kit was heading towards: another kit in the river. He made a dash over towards the two. When the pink kit starting calling out, he ran even quicker. He reached his paws out a bit further down so she could reach out and he could pull her in while the dark blue kit was going to grab her with her tail. If the situation got worst, then they would need to call out to Nix.
