My Flute Buddy in marching band is also a cheerleader but shes JV and the JV cheerleaders respect us. Mostly becuase a few of them are like in love with other band members. But the Varsity cheerleaders hate us. We did the school chant at a football game and they freaked out on us! their argument was that "thats our chant! you can't do it!" its not their chant, its the schools and guess what we go to the school too o.O! Haha but the Varsity cheerleaders hate us and think band is dumb along with most P.E. teachers at the school

You know why most vars cheerleaders who are cocky like that are so flexiable? cause they dont have their...vcard... xD

Lol! Your probably right.

by the time most cheer leaders graduate, 99% of the squad will be not virgins
the one or two who have respect for themselves, on the other hand, will still be virgins xD

Terra of the Lilies
...How does she even know about stuff like that? All the cheerleaders around here are clueless to stuff like that. xd
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed,
but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance...

Pretty much the same here. We have a song called cheerleader we play at the football games. A simple rock beat. Every 6 measures the drumline adds another 8th note in and changes the beat.

Funny. As. Hell.

Don't listen to cheerleaders. They're the retarded cousin of High School. As long as you know that Band is superior, then I don't see a problem here. ;D

... In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years
of democracy and peace, what did they produce? The cuckoo clock.

But those idiots that high step barely move! At this year's FBA Marching Competition, we played some of the most complex music there, marched corp style(Which is more difficult!) and still got a Superior. All my friends at the high stepping schools(Except the ones in JROTC) think we only got it because we had easier marching! The only spots where we weren't moving were 30 non-consecutive seconds in a 9 min. show, while they only MOVED for like 30 sec. non-consecutively in an 8 min. show!

Corp style bands have a higher standard of practices that can't be matched by modern high steppers. Now, decades ago, it was a different story...

Because decades ago, corps style didn't exist yet, right? Haha. But regardless of marching style, I think you're gonna have bands that move around a lot, and bands that don't.

I know my band's shows has become more complicated over the years...when I watched old shows on Youtube there was a lot of marking time, but now there is a lot more emphasis on visuals and more difficult drill. We're a high step band, btw.

No, its because they knew that the term "Marching Band" means "A band that marches while playing music," not "A band that plays while standing on a field."

Personally, cheerleaders don't give band ((marching or any other)) any credit. They are always like "We practice SO hard and blah blah blah blah blah blah...." We practice EVERY DAY in the band room ALL YEAR. And not JUST for pep rallies and football games. We are always practicing for something new. I know a few cheerleaders that give the band credit and they are really nice, but some act like we are a piece of dirt that only play background music. It's annoying -_-
