He knows how to ring in an audience.
I respect his ideas for tradition as well.

I like Princess Mononoke just because it's bloody and gory... the only PG-13 movie that he has done. But my favorite story line is Spirited Away.

I have yet to see Princess Monoke, Castle in the Sky, Nausicca and alot others. However, I have seen Kiki's Delivery Service (loved it), Lupin the Third Castle of Cagliostro (love that one even more), Ponyo (it was awesome), Spirited Away, and Howl's Moving Castle - both of which are amazing. ^^

Oh I love all of them. Personal favorites include Kiki's Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Though Spirited Away and Laputa: Castle in the Sky were great too. They're so cool and the art is fantastic.

I love his movies too! I think I've seen a good amount of them...haven't seen all of them though. My favorite would be The Secret World of Arrietty, My Neighbor Totoro, and Spirited Away. For some reason (maybe cause I don't like bugs), I never liked Nausicaa of Valley of the Wind even though I appreciate the art.
But I must say, Grave of the Fireflies (a studio ghibli film not by Miyazaki-san but you might come across it) , is sooooo depressing...it starts out sad and just gets more and more sad...you cry the whole film...but such a good film...
