Passion_Dragon Soothsayer Jeckal Kaenai the majority of Black people aren't going around stealing cars and jackin' people for their belongings. we merely see them the most often because it's a very sensationalist society. 3 out of every 5 black males ends up in prison or some other form of a correctional facility. [Is that "3 out of 5 ends up in prison or some correctional facility," or "3 out of 5" have been arrested or sent to prison, etc.?? I have trouble believing the statistic as you've stated it. But statistics deal with averages too, and THAT'S ******** up, because I could line up 5 black males and NONE of them have been to prison OR been arrested. cool
I take Kenai's statement to mean not that she's bitching about it, but that most people don't sit back and notice that we are very acttracted to the "sensational;" the things that attract people to reading the newspaper or watching the news, both of which are known sources for reaporting death, distruction and wrong-doing. We get excited when we have something to hate, to be surprised (pleasantly or not) about.] Trust me, white people have more things to complain about blacks than blacks do white.

Real life aside, just being on Gaia (someplace you and I have both been)--if you go to the GD or ED forums, you don't have to wait long to see a "complaint" thread from a black author or a white author. Just judging by what I see on Gaia alone: black people and white people do an equal amount of complaining about each other. xd Even if the black author is just complaining about white people complaining about black people, which is most oftenly the case, unfortunately. confused ]

I get acused of being racist alot, just for being white. I don't know why, I wonder if I just have a vibe that screams racist or something. Like the other day I was at the vending machines in my school, I gave my best buddy 60 cents so she could get a coke and then this black girl asked me, well she didnt even really ask me she told me to giver her 60 cents. And I didn't have any more so I said "no I don't have 60 cents..." and she said "mayun white boy I just saw you give dat girl some money! You just racist!, it's because IM BLACK!!!". I was going to tell her off, but decided that it wouldnt be a wise choice, especially since her boyfriend was this huge black guy, that eats skinny white guys like me for lunch. gonk

It annoys me... Yes people do stereotype on blacks, but nine times out of ten (who knows the stats, just sounded good xD) they play the "race card" (good I hate that term) to justify "wrong doings".

Anyway, I hate it when black people (and everyone else) pull the "Race Card." One of my best friends does that. It bothers the hell out of me; I love her, but she is quick to say "It's because I'm black" as an excuse for being denied something or overlooked or being a victim of injustice in any other way. It bugs the ******** out of me, seriously. And the worst thing is that it gets passed on to kids and down throughout entire families.
God forbid the incident when it actually IS "because you're black." People use that as an easy way out of facing the truth and an easy method of making someone else feel bad (or good if they are sadistic). People need to get over themselves and realize it's about more than black and white; literally and figuritively. ]

There's only been one occasion where I pulled the race card, and it's when a subsitute wrote all of the black students in the class up for dresscode violation.
Apparently, baggy pants (not sagging), long tees, and tank tops are against the dresscode.
Come on. I HAD to pull it. And even the white students said that she would stare at us with piercing glares/snapped at us when we asked to use the restroom. I haven't seen her around, now that I think of it...Ms. Harris is cool, so of course she tore them up.
...even though that's not what you're talking about. Yeah, some of us are ignorant and insist on pulling it out when we feel we've been wronged. Face it, it's gonna happen until the end of time.

We get excited when we have something to hate, to be surprised (pleasantly or not) about.] Trust me, white people have more things to complain about blacks than blacks do white. ahem. as many black people as white people are arrested. it is statistically more likely for a white person to have better legal support and/or representation, or to be shown leniency during a hearing/trial than a black person, therefore, you could be right. lots of white people are walking around the streets after doing the same thing as the black person who's locked up.
as for the 'complaining' issue, the sad thing is, you probably believe that. but this will then begin to be a trolling thread, especially since i'm feeling like a real b***h right now - frankly, i have neither the time nor the patience for that, as i'm sure most of you don't. let's just leave it at a difference of opinion, and that's it, shall we?
On the next topic, Black people pulling the 'race card' can often be annoying as hell, because even though it does get thrown out there more often than not, only the times when it's really unwarranted are publicized or made known. the ones who do so in dumb situations, like the damn snack machine, are usually the ones who do so the loudest. they make all of us look real freakin' dumb, and i have to apologize for that.
