You got caught?

That's kind of weird. Mostly people seem to be either genuinely helpful, or they enjoy the opportunity to show that they know something you don't.

Does the teacher offer help?

I believe another girl was reading over my shoulder and thought it was about her BFF who is also an excellent artiste. However, I expect nothing of her, as she is an adolescent who still needs a mommy and monopolizes every instructor in hopes of getting 1) pampered and 2) a job lead upon graduation. Said girls were kind of cold-shouldering me the rest of the day, which is why I think I was caught typing it. Too bad I can't bring it up to get at the truth, but, of course, it's one of those things that you just can't.

Today both the baby artiste and the depraved woman (she is that too, and proud of it) were unaccountably helpful today, offering advice to the students on either side of where they sit. So I don't know if the info worked its way through the gossip machine and bore fruit, or if I'm just reading into a coincidence. However, I'm glad to see it.

Does the teacher offer help? That's a difficult question to answer. I'm going to go with a qualified "yes." Getting real help and him merely offering it are oceans apart.

Wow I just found something so fail that...ha.

So I happen upon my school's homepage and see in the list of links under the "Clubs" section, a club called, "Young Democrats."

I go, "lolwhat?" and click the link. It comes up to a page with a beautiful picture of democratic students sitting at a table. Then under it, it says,

"We, the members of the Virginia Young Democrats, in order to further the ideals and principles of the Democratic Party, improve our society through peaceful reform and effective government, and serve those in need in our community..."

It gets worse, believe me. They post blog-like things. Filled with fail. Dl

O_O
That is so begging for a movie treatment!! Please tell me you live in a northern (or western) state...I would vomit if that was from Virginia or other Southern state.

Intuet: All's well that ends well?

My school has a division of the Young Democrats. But not the Young Republicans. I was annoyed by that a couple years ago.

No blog though. Or mission statement. It's like they're deliberately trying to keep it free of fail.

That sounds amusing.

Oh, the continuing school saga?
Actually, the tides have shifted, making it far more amenable. Baby girl flattered the teacher so much he did all her homework, which drew the ire of the class. Her usual admirers aren't talking to her, so her loud, obnoxious voice and laugh aren't heard so much anymore. Yay! Everyone else was forced to work harder and consequently may have learned more. I certainly did: I had to look up a ton of internet Maya forum help to get stuff done.

Come to think of it...on the wall of dumb belongs the instructor for this class. We have him next term as well. If he does baby's homework again, I seriously believe his job will be in question as the class will complain to the higher-ups. He had the chutzpah to defend himself thusly: "I would rather help a good student become great, than help a lot who don't show any talent." Holy cow. I couldn't believe he said that out loud. That's like kicking the rest of the class in the stomach. Our sensitive artist egos can't take it. XD

I think you girls with the Young Democrat chapters should start a parody of them. Or an RPG. Something to commemorate the foolishness. Pretty sad to think they might be worthwhile after all, as it seems only the moderate Dems can rein in the radical Left.

That teacher sounds profoundly unprofessional.

Are you sure your school doesn't have Young Democrats too?

What type of parody? I think the school officials would feed me to a carnivorous plant if I tried to start the Young Republicrats or something. They're very liberal.

....I have to take a cultural diversity awareness class in order to graduate. sad (Not sure whether that's normal or not, but it sucks regardless)

RPG... sounds interesting.

[cut because it was more spam than appropriate xp ]

Edited to: MY CLASS IS THE ED! Everyone is superior to each other, the loudest people know nothing and the quieter ones are still hypocrites. And they DOGPILE on (ie have bitchfest behind the back of) everyone they don't like. Mob rule. Boooo!!! Booo!!! Some liberal peace and freedom they give...so fair, so tolerant, so just. NOT. We're still all cooped up together in classes 9-10 hours a day, so harmony is essential, but I don't want to be part of this mess.

9-10 hours per day? What kind of class is that?

Haven't you heard that if you talk loud enough and long enough, you become right?

On the subject of school clubs, I finally got around to looking up MEChA - Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán.

MEChA
As Chicanas and Chicanos of Aztlán, we are a nationalist movement of Indigenous Gente that lay claim to the land that is ours by birthright. As a nationalist movement we seek to free our people from the exploitation of an oppressive society that occupies our land.

http://www.nationalmecha.org/philosophy.html

Another quote refers to the liberation of Aztlan - the southwestern US. So apparently they support la reconquista.

Also, some reconquista types don't like Jews??

Anyway though, this is another club at my school. Lovely.

Yeah, there was a MEChA club at my college too...no one could join but Latinos. What bigots. Racism, welcomed and promoted by those pretending to be against racism. More Communist BS.

The anti-Semitism is chilling.

There actually is another Napolitano. That, I did not know. But I'm not sure she's hispanic ancestry. In Janet Napolitano's case, I'm pretty sure that name's Italian ancestry.

I wonder if they'd let me join MEChA. According to an anthropology textbook, the hispanic 'race' is identified as a mix of european (causasian) and asian traits. Asian includes American Indian. Somewhere in my lineage there's a german guy that married a Chippewa lady. So... I'm part hispanic? xp

That book gets nominated for the wall of dumb.

(Am I the only one that sees 'Aztlan' and thinks Narnia?)
