Black stone walls stretched upward, arching towards the maw of the ceiling above. Faint light filtered in through the tall windows, dimmed by the stormy weather outside as clouds roiled angrily, threatening torrents of rain and possibly lightning. A young man sat near the front door, which was easily large enough for three large dragons to enter side by side, curled up comfortably in a chair beside the monstrous fireplace within the great hall, enjoying its warmth. His hair was short-ish and shock-white, framing an equally pale face the color of milk. He was slender, but athletic in build from regular combat training with Aries, and pale pointed ears sliced through the moon-colored locks of his hair. Husky blue eyes swept over the words of the book he read while awaiting any coming students. A small chirp resounded from a white ferret at the foot of the chair, who jumped up into his lap, curling up in Kael's shirt and sticking his head out the top with another chirp, nuzzling the albino's cheek. Elan, the Incarnation of Spirit, although you wouldn't guess it from his cutesy appearance.

Kael smiled softly, rubbing behind one of Elan's ears, glad for the company. "What do you think, hm? Raien must be in one of his moods, I suppose. Will the students even be able to make it past this storm?"

Elan chirped in response, snuggling more, and Kael sighed faintly, secretly wishing for more companionship while he waited. "I guess we'll just have to see," he mused.

Kael stared at the book for awhile longer, trying to continue with his reading, but his mind was elsewhere at the moment. He closed the tome, setting it aside for now, husky blue eyes wandering faintly toward the large doors despite knowing that it was possible no one would make it before the morning. Sighing softly, he kept Elan close. He was the best candidate to stay up and wait for any arriving students, he supposed, naturally disposed to insomnia, but it didn't make the wait any less lonely. He wondered if anyone else was up and about right now, but it wasn't very likely. It was possible Chloe might be, but that wasn't necessarily a good thing. He glanced down at the list of students to see who would have arrived today, and therefore would have been caught in this storm during their traveling. Antoine Cain Sacheverell. "Be careful out there..." he mumbled faintly, hoping the boy would be all right.

Elan chirped faintly, trying to reassure him, and nuzzled him lightly, keeping close.

Kael stroked the ferret's fur lightly, giving a faint grin. "This keeps up, Elan, and you and I might just have to conduct a search party." He glanced through one of the tall windows - heavy rain obscured nearly everything, and lightning struck somewhere in the distance, judging from the sound of thunder. A deep fog had settled in, and it was impossible to see more than a few feet out. Mumbling, Kael commented, "Really, Raien, if you don't have a good excuse for conjuring this thing up, you're going to be in for it." At this point, though, he really was becoming concerned, though. I'll give it five more minutes, he thought worriedly. If he's not here by then, I'll go out looking for him. There's no telling what could happen to him out there in this weather, and he's already several hours late, thanks to it.... Even thinking that, though, he had to resist the urge to go out immediately to look for the boy.

ANTOINE CAÏN SACHEVERELL walked through the impossibly dense foggy stormy forest. Cause of the storm, Antoine a.k.a Acelin is hours late than what he should be. The storm had come out onimously, has it was clear moment ago but now its was it was like this an Acelin was lost. The flashlight he used proves useless for directions as he continued to walk. "They really should put up some indications for days like this." he said whiping his unusally dark purple hair out of his eyes. His clothes weighed him down, as he was also soaked to the bone, but he was numb to the cold cause of the length he been outside. Whenever the forest seemed to thin out he always headed in that direction.

"Okay, if I don't make it within ten minutes, I'm going to find a place to seek shelter and wait till the storm is over with." he muttered as he continued walking, he body was aching from exhaustion. A streak of lighting flashed he saw something, a shadow of something big but obscured to fully make anything out, but that shape caught his eye as it was different from the others. He headed in that general direction.

Navigating his way through the forest, using the lighting whenever possible, he soon found his way. Although it was still almost impossible to see through fog he caught highlights within the fog created by some form of lighting. He also realized his flashlight was dead by now. He sighed. Within about four minutes it seemed, he couldn't tell, he was infront of the place he was looking for; Saekii Academy.

Kael waited for awhile, but, concerned for the boy's well-being, after only a few minutes he grabbed his all-weather cloak and headed for the door. Elan jumped up to his shoulder, curling up around his neck for the protective warmth of the hood. The ferret gave a soft, worried chirp, keeping close to Kael, knowing what kind of weather lay waiting outside.

With just a touch to the giant doors, they swung slowly open, and Kael stepped outside, husky blue eyes widening as he saw Acelin directly in front of him. Shocked and instantly worried at the sight of the drenched boy, Kael ushered him inside and shut the doors. He lightly put a hand on the boy's shoulder, and with a faint blue-white glow, the moisture started to dissipate from the boy, leaving him dry. "Antoine Cain Sacheverell, I take it?" he asked softly, although easily noting Acelin's pale appearance, probably a result of the cold. "I'm Kael Jeaqinn, one of the teachers here. I'm glad that you were able to make it. Is there anything I can get you, to help you warm up? Tea, cocoa?" It was hard to hide his concern for the boy, although he hoped it didn't seem like too much. He led the way over to the enormous fireplace in the great hall, an array of comfortable armchairs gathered in front of it.

Elan, the white ferret, chirped lightly, jumping from Kael's shoulder to Acelin's, nuzzling faintly, also in worry, purring faintly as he curled up close.

Just as Acelin was about to knock on the door they swung open a person standing on the otherside, shocked his eyes showe evident worry. Once inside the school an dry the warmth started touching his skin realizing just how cold he was by the uncontrolable shivering that happened seconds later of entering the warm place. At the mention of something warm to drink he smiled, "Thank you. Tea would be nice if it isn't much trouble for you." he said his voice rough slightly scratchy.

As he was led to what seemed like a lounge area with a fireplace ablaze he sat close to the fire on the floor. Acelin curled into a ball rubbing his arms an legs slapping himself, the fact he felt pain was a good sign for him. As he watched the fire danced slowly but surely his body started to warm up his already unnatural cold skin.

Humming to himself he heard something like scritching noise like small claws running across carpet. Hearing a faint chirp he looked over seeing a white ferret reaching his arm out he saw the the animal climb up his arm tickling his face. Giggling he lightly grabbed the creature placing him on his lap petting his small head. "I wounder what you name is?" he murmered allowed more tohimself.

Kael nodded. "I'll be right back with some," he assured Acelin, and walked off to fetch some tea for the boy. In the meanwhile, Elan, the white ferret, purred loudly from all of the attention, keeping close to him happily. A small voice resounded in Acelin's mind as the Incarnation, albeit in the form of a ferret, replied. ~Elan. I'm Elan.~ Elan stuck his little tongue out cutely, snuggling close.

Kael was back after a few moments with a silver tray, bearing teacups, saucers, a teapot, two small spoons, honey, sugar, and cream. A small plate on the tray bore crescent-shaped cookies, still warm, and smelling like honey and almonds. The dishes were delicate porcelain, hand-painted and trimmed in silver. He set the tray down beside the fireplace, taking a seat beside the boy as he poured two cups, handing one to Acelin. "Are you feeling all right?" He asked softly, wondering if there was anything else he could do to help.

Acelin smiled enjoying the company of the small ferret but hearing a voice inside his head was something he wasn't expecting much of, but he didn't seem to surprised for some reason as if he was used to stuff like this before. Only he didn't know why it felt nostalgic. "Elan it is. You can call me Acelin." he said as Elan licked him he laughed from it being ticklish. "That tickles." he said giggling.

Soon Acelin smelled something, his sense of smell always seemed to be sharper than his families. "Honey, tea, sugar, cream...and umm honey cookies..." he said just before Kael walked into the room. As he took a cup he blew on it some cooling it off slightly. "Yes, I am. Thankyou." Acelin said, unlike most people he seemed overly polite, something that if he didn't do torwards his family, he was beate for.

Elan just tilted his head cutely at the ticklish comment, and snuck up Acelin's shirt, popping his little head out the top and snuggling close with a loud purr, enjoying the warmth.

Kael blushed faintly, hoping Elan wasn't bothering Acelin too much, and nodded. "I'm sorry about Elan. He's just a bit affectionate," he explained. "I'm glad you're all right, though. It's pretty horrid out there." Mumbling under his breath, he grumbled, "that guy, honestly... he needs better mood control. Especially in his sleep." Kael took a small sip of tea after sweetening it with sugar, and nibbled on one of the sweet cookies.

"Antoine.." Kael said softly, with a soft, charming smile. "I really hope you enjoy staying here."

As Elan climbed up his back the claws pricking his skin ticklings him more, he giggled some more petting him on the head once he was comfortable. Acelin was enjoying Elan's company most animals, well about every animal stayed away from Acelin as if he was something unwordly, so it was nice that Elan didn't feel that way. "No need to apologize, its nice most animals just avoid me as if they hated for some reason." he said as he scratched his head gently. "Its nice."

At Kael's words, though they were soft he could hear them, "Who?" he asked his face curious. Acelin was one who was curious for several reasons, one he felt that he didn't belong with his family, two it was as if he belong somewhere else. Jumping out of his thoughts, he heard Kael's words smiling, "Thankyou, I'm sure I will." he said. Acelin also felt more comfortable to this man than most of friends he known for years.

Elan purred happily, keeping close to the boy, blissful.

"Well," Kael admitted, "Elan isn't exactly an animal, even if he takes that form virtually all of the time. He's an Incarnation, a being of pure energy and power with no true physical form, able to take whatever shape they please. Although, he seems to prefer being either a ferret or a small cat, probably for the attention." Kael grinned lightly at that, knowing it to be true. Nonetheless, he valued Elan as a companion.

"As for that guy..." Kael gave a wry smile. "Raien. He rules over weather, and I swear if he wakes up on the wrong side of the bed, it starts hailing chickens." The albino paused at that, realizing the possible interpretations. "Well, not literally, thank goodness. But especially when he sleeps he tends to affect the weather unknowingly. He's probably having a bad dream, judging from the storm outside."

Acelin nodded at Kael's explanation of Elan, he did think it was strange. "Well I guess that make more sense.... I think." At the mention of Elan being an attention hog he giggled it made him think that he was a young child, which remined him of himself. Acelin had closed his eyes, immagining what Kael said about Raien, except his vision always turned into something cartoony. Acelin was comfortable enough that he had forgotten about the storm, closing his eyes once more, he couldn't even hear it.

"I can't hear the storm anymore..." he mutered to himself, for some reason he heard other sounds but not the raging storm from a moment ago, it baffled him but it was nice though it felt abdnormal for him. Though his focus waking him tired, as he yawned shaking his head trying to stay up atleast a little more.
