Nami the Pirate Thief
Ahaha xD
I always heard "Take off HER clothes", in which case I thought he was referring to Jasmine lol. I believe some of the weird disney conspiracies, but some are just ridiculous rolleyes

rofl that would be hilarious if he really WAS saying that. I just can't hear it sad
PostPosted: Wed Oct 21, 2009 8:08 pm

Lol I can hear it pretty well, when I'm looking for it. But who really knows if that's actually what he was saying?

Although Jasmine's expression right afterward makes me think he did say that x3

I still love it though.

And Where The Wild Things Are made me cry D:
Max is a little douche-bag though...

Why is he a douche?
He was doing his best.. right? he didn't do anything on purpose
his intentions were to unite everybody--and those monsters could almost be considered adults, and a little kid uniting adults.. yeah, not easy. :

I don't know about that... but I do still blame Aladan for Highschool pregnancy tests!

Wtf? D: ?

Aladin said "Good teenagers, take off your clothes"

IT DOESN'T EVEN SOUND LIKE HE'S SAYING THAT! even if you listen real hard -_-

SO I finally saw the movie tonight, and I still think you're crazy Rufi xD

I kept your opinion in mind for the whole movie, and I'll admit that at ONE scene I thought I was beginning to see your point; in the scene where Judith called Max over to accuse him of having a thing with Carol/liking him more than them. However, my opinion changed by the end, because it turned into more of Judith wanting equal attention from Max, since she was representing the neglect they were feeling since Max favored Carol. (Neglect was a very common theme)

And as for the hearts with the 'M' and the 'C' inside of them, that was definitely representing a family bond. In the beginning, it showed a heart sculpture that Max made for his sister, which he basically repeated when he gave it to Carol. That to me says that he saw Carol as his family, since he didn't get love/attention from his real family, he expressed it to Carol.

Also, in the beginning you see a globe that said "To Max, the owner of this world" that was given to him by his dad, then in the land of the wild things, Carol repeated that Max was "the owner of this world", which was another sign indicating family.

I also think it was much more of a family situation because of how Max sort of turned into his mother when he and Carol fought, especially with the repeat of the phrase "You're out of control!" Which his mother said to him before he left. Max was forced into a situation where he had to grow up and be the responsible adult, and even though he saw them as his family that he loved, he still realized that they were indeed out of control.
The whole movie was basically a bunch of children in the form of monsters running around without guidance who didn't know how to grow up, and all they wanted was love and attention from someone (kind of like a parent figure to make everything better), hence why they turned to Max as their king, and Carol was so upset when he found out he wasn't; Because Max was the only one who listened/paid attention to him when everyone else wouldn't, then when Max wanted his own room, he felt like he was being ignored again- like Max felt when his sister ignored him for her friends and when his mom ignored him for her boyfriend.

Sorry to give you so much to read, but I had a lot to say! xD I tried to make it as short as I could~

It made me think about the beauty/tragedy of growing up, and sort of the loss of innocence and having to take responsibility.

I also really liked that it had such a dark mood to it during most of the movie and had a lot of messages/themes only people above a certain age can understand, but portrayed all of that through child-like characters.

I agree. It's not a movie for kids, really.

oh yeah when they played eerie/dark music i knew oooooh somethings gonna happen!!
