Autumnpaw looked scanned the camp through his narrow slits of eyes. He noticed Cinderkit and purred. She reminded him so much of Infernokit.
He padded over to her and meowed a greeting. "How are you?"

Blizzardstar looked up to the skies. StarClan...I know you're watching me...I hope you're happy... She thought.
Waterkit looked up to Blizzardstar. She was tired, but she didn't feel like sleeping. "Blizzardstar, can you tell me a story?"
Blizzardstar looked down at the little kit. "Sure. What do you want to hear about?"
Waterkit hesitated for a moment. "Tell me about...what happened to Crystalstar and Silvermist and Dawnstripe and Thunderpaw!" She squeaked.
Blizzardstar hesitated. "I told you that yesterday." She mewed.
"I wanna hear it again!" Waterkit mewed.
"Okay, fine." Blizzardstar mewed.
Brackentail looked at Waterkit. The kit was ready for her apprentice ceremony any time now.
Blizzardstar stopped suddenly, notcing Brackentail's gaze on her. She nodded, knowing what he was thinking. She leapt on a high branch of the Willow Tree and let out a yowl. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather!"

Cinderkit blinked in surprise as the apprentice addressed her. "I'm fine, Autumnpaw. I've decided to help you with the elders." She puffed her chest and fluffed her fur out proudly, showing how ready she was to join the apprentices.

"Ha ha, okay, let's go get some moss." He purred, gently nudging her puffed out chest with his paw. With a flick of his tail he began to lead her the medicine cat's den.
"Now, roll some up in a ball and tuck it beneath your chin. It's the best way to carry it." He instructed, already beginning to gather some.

Cinderkit nodded and followed his example. She rolled it into a ball and tucked it under her chin, ready to carry it, but stumbling. It was a little too big for her, but she was too proud to admit it, and she turned to Autumnpaw. "Let's go!"

Brackentail turned around to take a look at the new visitors. "Well, are you here to change my bedding? I hope you've been doing well, because I've been finding twigs in my bedding!" He mewed.

"We'll make sure your bed is very comfortable for you Brackentail." Autumnpaw meowed. "Won't we Cinderkit?"
The ginger and white apprentice began to scrape out the old pieces, and spread out the new moss for the bedding. As he did so, he began to feel for twigs.

Otterfur padded up to the elders den and heard what Autummpaw said. "You'd better do well with those twigs. Have you heard from to the last cat who gave Brackentail bad bedding? Neither has anyone else." He said with a purr of laughter. He then went out and gathered below the Willow Tree.

"Get up, get up, you lazy furball, we're going to be late-- Huh?"
It didn't take me long before I realized that Autumngaze wasn't asleep, but he was wide awake. He was sprawled out on the floor of the den with his belly facing up and he was lazily laying on his back, he was looking at me with what looked to be a cat-like smirk,
"Okay, okay. I'll get up."
He said with a slight chuckle at the look on my face when I saw him laying on the ground like that,
"Honestly, Echosong, what's got you all worked up? You know how lazy I am."
He nuzzled my nose with his before he entertwined his tail with mine and we both trotted out of the warriors den happily. Autumngaze has been my mate for at least one moon now, before that we were just friends. For the longest time Autumngaze has protected me from anything harmful, and that, I guess, was what had attracted me to him. Though, there are many other reasons why I am attracted to him. We were now at the pile of fresh-kill and Autumngaze dragged out the largest cod of the pile and put it between us,
"Well, dig in."
He said and we both layed down and started eating the cod at the same time. We followed each other everywhere except, of course, when we're on patrols. He fended for me, he fought for me, he protected me, and I do the same for him. We were, in our opinion, the perfect couple. We both know that another couple would be able to prove us wrong.. . .Will you still care? Will you be there?■□■□■□■□■□■□■□■□■□ ════════════════════════════════════════
