Hadyn nodded, once again he understood her point. She noticed how he brought up his dad again. "You're dad probably took one risk a bit too far, so that's causing him to live with the regret." She paused, remembering one particular time that she pushed her chances, the consequences weren't that bad, so she forgot about it quickly and moved on. "I've had a time like that once. Even though you can try to live with no regret, the one time that greed overpowers us is the time when it will bite us in the butt."

Eiriol smiled and nodded in agreement. This girl was wise, intuitive...and enjoyed cards. "You know Hadyn, you make a lot of sense." he said.

Hadyn shrugged. "It's just simple logic to me. You're the first one to actually understand it." She paused. "But then again... The only one I've explained it to was Vinny, and I didn't expect him to understand..." She faded off, trying to think of another topic. "Who's you're dad anyway?" She started. "He sounds like he'd be kewl to meet."

"My dad?" He stopped and thought about it. His dad was Tabor Hazard, the cat-like elder with a dark past but a caring family. He was a gambler, a past con artist, and a bit of a loner. "Well, his name's Tabor. He lives with my Mom Julia off in the woods. Truth be told, I haven't visited in a while."

"Oh." Hadyn said, not knowing if there was a particular reason for him not visiting. Not wanted to talk about her family, she tried searching in her mind for another topic, but failed.

"N-not that we're not close! I just figured I'd give them some space because after raising my brother and I, they could use some alone time. Plus, since I moved out I've been busy." He was trying nt to give her the wrong impression that anything bad had happened. His family had always been a close one.

Hadyn smiled at how defensive he became. It proved that he cared about his family. "I never figured that you guys weren't close." She paused before continuing. "What've you been busy with? Your magic act?" She asked.

Eiri smiled, glad she understood, "Yeah actually! That, and just surviving in my place. I mean, the craziest stuff happens every day." He was talking about the cave. Sticking near twenty namrah in one place was never a good idea, and yet, it was what he had to live with.

"Crazy? How so?" Hadyn cocked her head to the side in a questioning way. The only thing she has to deal with that was 'crazy' was Vinny putting on his tough guy act... But that was almost becoming normal now, along with Jaelyn's random games of hide-and-seek.

Eiriol had to stop and think. There was lots of crazy that went on at his place. “Well, over the summer Piperit's bookshelves, he's got a lot of books, all fell over. We spent weeks digging him out. Dulcie, who I guess is my cousin or something, blew up the kitchen once. Flannery and her little sister Shula have stopped talking because of Flanny's drinking problem. A big group of Pokemir girls have moved in downstairs....Oh, and then there's the issue between Sherwood and Beast Boy....” His eyes looked upwards and his head swayed as he listed things, going over the small fraction of what went on back home. He then looked back at Hadyn after he realized he was rambling, “Sorry...I'm probably boring you.”

Hadyn broke into a smile as Eiri listed everything. "Wow, you're right, that is crazy." She paused. "Bored is one word for it, but it's more entertaining than what I go through."

Eiriol smiled, glad she wasn't really bored with his ramblings. "Well what do you go through? Do you have a smaller family, like when it's just me and my parents?" He was curious. All he'd ever known was the small life with his mom, dad, and brother as well as the crazy-as-hell life of the Wayward Cave.

"I guess you could say I'm used to a small family." Hadyn shurgged, pausing before going on. "I never really knew my parents. They were just sort of there, you know? And then, I was out on my own." She stared off into space for a while, thinking. "But know I've got Vinny and Jaelyn." She sighed. "Those two bicker a lot. So most of the time I have to comfort Jaelyn because of something Vinny said." She thought about other times she had had with her makeshift family. "Jaelyn loves to play hide-and-seek, so sometimes the day will be just filled with games..."

Eiriol nodded as Hadyn spoke, imagining what she was talking about in his head. Eiri had played hide and seek once or twice, but that was in the winter, when he could blend in with the snow and when he was small enough to practically bury himself in it. He was also used to bickering, after all, it was hardly ever that everyone got along in the cave. "Sounds hectic, even for a small family," he smiled, "Though, it sounds like you've got some control."

Hadyn smiled, realizing the truth of what Eiri said. She never saw that she had ot under control like she did. "Yeah, I guess I do have it under control. For now." She stopped, thinking of ways that could completely overthrow the temporary balance. "Who knows what the world may do to challenge me." She stared off then looked back at Eiri. "Now I feel like I'm boring you."
