"That, my dear, is the best part." Obsidian interrupted her abruptly, shaking his head with a cruel little grin on his face. "What's the point if it's all so easy?" He loved the struggle, the thrill it brought, and his hands unconsciously flexed themselves into fists and back. It was almost a relief, then, that he was thinking about this now instead of when he was supposed to be teaching. At least he could soothe the urge after he wrapped up this chit-chat.
"Ohh, I assure you, I'll only do it when I'm feeling like I need to die on that particular day." His tone was rather cheerful at that, like he was used to throwing himself into the jaws of the tiger on a whim.
"I'm sure." He said, seeming to muse even as he took the other's hand in a firm shake. "Perhaps we will. If I'm missing limbs, however, I do expect you to cover the medical costs." There was a small grin before the tall, lanky lieutenant was striding away across the tower top, clearly fixated on the going-ons below.
It was nearly time.

Shaking her head with a smile, Linarite started to eye the buildings nearby. It seemed as if this Lieutenant was finished with her, and there was something so dangerous about him, she didn't want to stick around if she was no longer welcome. It was a bit like a caged tiger, and she didn't want to have her arm bitten off.
The thought of lost limbs brought her back to the conversation, and she called after him. "I'll pay, but I think the check might bounce!" With that, she turned, and leapt right off the roof. As she made her way to the ground, she decided to take an alternate route home.
Somehow, Linarite did not think it would be entirely wise to let him know where she lived. However, it had been enjoyable. She really did hope he told Nealite what she said!
