Letting out a slow sigh Rave reached for his glow stick staff, and raised it above his head making sure it was aligned with the collar. "Ready?" He twitched with anticipation, without waiting for a reply... WHACK! He came down hard on the collar four times in quick succession. Not a one of the blows causing the collar to fall off. Rave gave it a puzzled look and lightly touched the collar, which to his surprise fell softly to the ground.

"Owwww Ow ow ow ow ow!" Orpheus cried as he was beaned over the head repeatedly with a glowstick. He opened his eyes and grunted at Rave. "Raaave," he groaned. "What was THAT for?" He complained. The collar hadn't even budged. Not until Rave gently touched that is. "Whaaat? After all that? That's all it took?" He gave another grunt. But he was happy to have it off. In it's place was a 'free collar' the mark it had left behind. Now he was officially free. He pocketed the collar though, wanting to keep the guitar pick for later use. "Thanks man, I guess I owe you one though."

Rave beamed with triumph proud of his successful de-collaring of his new friend. "Well, doesn't it feel better now that that collar is off?" He smirked as Orpheus put it in his pocket. "Yeah, and you can repay me by coming to a party of mine sometime." He winked at the other cat as he flopped back on the ground.

"Heh, sounds good to me," Orpheus said with a wide grin, flopping down in the grass next to his new friend.
They'd spend the rest of the afternoon that way, watching clouds and such.
A new bond had formed, and while the day was ending, Orpheus was just beginning his adventure as a TRUE stray cat.
