Lyre came out of the back with a large mug of coffee on a tray, along with a small pitcher of creamer and a cute matching bowl of sugar cubes. She balanced the tray in one hand, and rubbed the remaining sleep out of her eyes with the other. She hadn't attended the party that had been the bustle of Eyris, but she'd heard well enough what happened. She tried to put on a "customer friendly" face, but Alihi was her friend- Amara being kidnapped kept a sour taste in her mouth.
She couldn't say she was as much a fan of Hatmon's choice of normal hostess club uniforms as she was of the other cute outfits she'd gotten to wear... the lace was kind of itchy on this one... but she managed well enough, balancing with catlike precision on her high heels. She click-clacked her way over to the Hawk King's table, setting down the tray with a half-hearted "G'morning..."
When she looked up at who she was actually serving, she started. "Oh. Tibarn. Uh. Enjoy the. Coffee. Yeah." She blinked a bit, not sure if she should say anything else. Awkward in a normal circumstance? Kind of. Awkward while dressed in a really odd Beorc outfit? Oh, yes, definitely.

Tibarn sighed, scratching at his neck a bit, then shook his head. "Could use that coffee," he murmured again, then looked back up at Annis and picked up his second cake. "Now Annis, I do have a solution to our-- oh goddess, that's blueberry jam! I thought the blueberry crop was destroyed this year, I really need to find out the recipe for these." He dipped his fingertip into the filling and lifted it to his tongue, closing his eyes.
"Yeah," he said. "Yeah, that's blueberry."
It occurred to him a moment later that he was forgetting something, and he startled guiltily. "Er, sorry. Annis, you are a skilled thief and assassin. I'm willing to offer you an open guild contract as part of my information network. You'll take assignments from me, have a crew member to answer to, and get a steady paycheck with bonuses for jobs completed. Guild membership, too, and all the perks that come with that."
He raised a brow slowly, waiting for her reaction as he took another bite of his cake.
"And ah... Ulki tells me you can't transform. Is that true?"
A brow rapidly shot up when he looked up at the cat laguz next to him, though he gratefully took his coffee and dropped a lump of sugar in. "Lyre," he said politely. "Morning," he added after a moment, thinking perhaps he should add something more. He slipped his bandage-wrapped hand into his jacket and took out a few copper coins, dropping them into the pouch on Lyre's apron. "Good seeing you." He picked up a spoon and gently began to stir his sugar into his otherwise black coffee.

→→→→→→The hands I'd kept clean→→→→→→Now look dirty→→→→→→Before I can doubt my memories→→→→→→My memories are doubting me...Annis was really hoping that Tibarn would somehow become incredibly distracted by the cakes, delicious as they were, and stay off-topic. Anyone who did any sort of casual questioning to people she was in contact with beyond "Good morning, here's your morning coffee" might know her trade, despite not exactly broadcasting it, but... somehow the fact that the Hawk King was calling her out on it made her feel small. Bad.
Or was she just overreacting?
I'm still in trouble, aren't I?
The feeling rapidly melted as Tibarn continued. Open guild contract. Take assignments from Tibarn. Steady paycheck. Bonuses. Guild membership and perks. Annis stared at Tibarn, hands clutching tightly onto her cake. That was a good deal. A really good deal. She'd have to check and make sure she didn't have any further loose ends to tie up from previous contracts--yeah, the sort of work she routinely accepted wasn't the nicest, so... there were not-so-nice people who didn't like what she did, comes with the territory, blah blah--but by what she could see, it seemed like it was more than a good deal, and who was she to deny an offer like that? She made eye contact with the Hawk King as her hands relaxed just a little--
"And ah... Ulki tells me you can't transform. Is that true?"
Annis' hands clenched, crushing what remained of the little cake between her fingers. Cream spurted out and hit her corset, splattering white against the light brown. Oh, and her gloves were probably ruined now, what with the cake and cream that had gotten smashed there. Her face had paled a little and her eyes widened, but beyond that, the only physical reaction to the statement was the thoughtless murder of the delicious little cake.
She sat in silence for a moment, then very slowly placed the crushed cake on the table. "That... that is none of your business," she managed, voice low. Even as she spoke, a cross between humiliation and shame settled on her expression. The raven finally broke eye contact and turned her face away from him. Melethia was walking through the streets with some unease, with what had happen a few hours ago. She had changed from her white dress back to her normal black. She didn't want to get the dress dirty, and with it being white, it was easy to stain. She also had a jacket to her usual attire. It was a little chilly for her. Her tome was in its usual place once again. She was going to make sure she wasn't a target.
Her stomach then growled. She looked around. Where would be a good place to eat and to get out of the cold. She then noticed the cafe.
"Might as well try the food there." She said and with that she walked in. She looked around. "It looks nice." She remebered seeing the sign for free cake. She hadn't eaten since right before Vika came in and did what she did, and that was kinda also in the middle of a meal so she was a bit hungry.
She made her way over to where the cakes were. She took one of the pastries, looked at it. It was a simple tea cake. She then took a bit. She smiled a little bit. By the look on her face Melethia must be liking the food. She swallowed what was in her mouth before speaking
"Excuse me." She said, hoping someone would hear her.

The cow walked into the cafe pushing the door open with its snout the bell around its neck jingling softly. "Moo!" it exclaimed moving its large head as if it was looking around. With a prupose the cow went up to the cake table. The mouth opened slowly reveling a green haired man inside luckily for Jaren no one could see him inside the costume at this angle. Snaking an arm out to quick for the others to see it dragged an entire cake into the mouth making it appear as if the cow had just eaten the cake.
Jaren had made the cow suit himself and it was extremly well made looking perfectly life like he had even whittled a whistle to sound like a cow when blown. "Moo!" The cow said again. Jaren had trouble seeing through the eyes though and couldn't tell who was who as he turned away from the cake table bumping into Elly's table as he did almost knocking it over. The cow looked up at Elly and mooed again.

The place was starting to get lively and Elly had already spotted a waitress bring what smelled like coffee to the hawk and raven that were sitting in the corner. She still hadn't any idea where she was and the poor sniper would obviously like to know..Ok, so in Learania..if she recalled...Batre said Eyris..It still made no sense but Elly knew for sure that she wasn't in Magvel anymore.
"Moo!"
Eh?
Elly blinked, that sure as hell did NOT sound like a real cow. She turned her head left and right until it came to what looked like a really badly made cow mask. She paused, then suddenly part of her senses (and reflexes) took over "KYAAAA!!!!!" Elly screamed, raised her arm and...
SLAP
The sound was loud enough that anybody in the room at least heard it..or it went over their heads. The person in the cow suit fell backwards, the mask completly thrown off. Elhaym stood up from where she was and backed away, looking at some..Unknown person! She knew she was new but REALLY? Was this some kind of welcome joke!? Oh dear, and a guy no less. "W-What do you think you are doing!?" a little frazzled..but seriously?? If she hadn't been freaked out enough, she'd give him another slap.

"Oh- thank you..." She nodded politely, tucking her empty tray under her arm. She looked towards Annis.
"Just give me a wave if you'd like anything, too..." Lyre could feel the tension from these two simmering like brown rice on the stove. She winced as the pastry was mutilated in the raven girl's hands. "Or.. um, a towel? I can get you a towel, if you want..." She skittered off, in the direction of the kitchen, and was about the head back in through the swinging doors when she heard another customer come in through the doors. She was the only waitress out on duty, probably because she was the only one beside Kris and Hatmon that didn't attend the party...
It was a cold and overall depressing day, so there really wasn't a huge flow of customers. It was easy enough for the laguz to sense when someone came in, as well as hear the door.
"Hey, what can I do for you?" she smiled towards Mel... somehow ignoring a doofus in a cowsuit, that she figured Ganon would be here soon enough to take care of... She rubbed her temple as she heard a shriek. Yes, where was Ganon?

Jaren smiled inside the mask the joke was going well he couldn't see who the person who he mooed at but he expected them to reach down and rubb his head and then say "Oh what a life-like cow!"
Which was why he was totally caught off guard when the women shrieked and then slapped him. "Prrghh!" He exclaimed as he was pitched backwards. The mask flying off his head.
W-What do you think you are doing!?"
"What do think your doing! You slapped me!" The palm print on his face getting redder. "Do you have some crazy cow-phobia lady?!" Jaren yelled back.

"Can I get some more of these?" Melethia said pointing to the tea cake in her hand, "And some...hot..tea...with..this..what's with the idiot in the cow suit?" She sniffed the air, making sure it was a guy in a cow suit and not a real cow. Then she heard the cow speak. Yep idiot in a cow suit.

John had a long night of sitting and talking to the guards. It was quite the event last night. John had taken off his costume and kept his old tunic on and walked down to the hostess club to get a bite to eat. He walked through the door to see some fool just get slapped by a unfamiliar face. He noticed that it was Jaren in a cow suit.
He didn't care one way or another. He wanted some Green tea and some cake. He sat in a seat and waited for the waitress to come by and take his order. "Hm..so a girl was taken...well huh..Something strange is going on." he thought to himself staring off into the corner.

The nerve! She had NOTHING against cows! Infact, Elly LOVED animals..but this...FAKE and a MALE made it all worse. She couldn't exactly say her phobia was MEN. Oooh this was all too confusing, again, she didn't understand it herself..she's fine with her brother and her master but this....Oh goddess what made her become like this in the first place. "I-I do not! Y-Your..! Your just..!! STUPID!!" there, she said it. This man was stupid and obviously immature enough to obviously want to scare the NEW girl.
Elly took a deep breath, calming herself. Thinking back on all the hardships she overcome and how she ended up here "I..I just.." she sniffled, a little. Elly raised both hands to rub her eyes and no later then a second began to sob lightly "I'm just the new girl..!" Elly started "If this is your way of a 'funny' joke..Its not funny! ...sniff.." Oh really now, Couldn't she have just controlled that just a LITTLE longer? Sure, she slapped him, but the need to dress up as a cow and decide to be funny..wasn't funny at all.

Cake~
They were serving cake today, and Roy was very much in the mood for some cake and other delicious bakery goods. He was...almost skipping his way over to the shop, staff in hand. He was still wearing his costume from last night. Darko was flying around in circles around the lord, chirping happily for no reason. There was a good chance the little imp didn't know why the young lord was happy, but after an introduction of the magical goody known as cake, the imp would too have a reason to be happy.
They arrived at the shop. Barely keeping his excitement, Roy opened the door.
...only to find Jaren in a cow costume arguing with a sniper girl. There was a red palm-print on Jaren's face. ...Well, this was certainly a mood-killer. He wanted cake, but the mood was pretty much killed thanks to a certain idiot. He could pretty much guess what had happened once he found a poorly made cow mask not far from the two.
He sighed before he walked into the store. As he passed Jaren, he twirled the staff around in his hand and paused.
"Sheesh...it hasn't even been twenty four hours and you're already causing another disturbance Jaren. I highly doubt you can keep out of trouble for a few days and be in public. Something like that is too much for someone like you." he said calmly before he approached the woman. "My...apologies for the idiot. I think he's been dropped more than once when he was a baby."

With the party over, the snake woman returned to her, hopefully temporary, residence in the inn section of the hostess club. She slunk into her room, changed out of her dress, then curled up on the bed. Shortly after, Aruna fell asleep.
Afternoon had come and it was now time for Aruna to go back to work. She donned a gold and white saloon girl dress as her hostess uniform. Accenting the look, three large feathers stood on her head. Instead of her usual gold and ruby headpiece, a silver band decorated citrine gems stretched across her forehead.
The crimson-haired nagini made her way down to the café. Looking around the dining room, she noticed that only a few tables were occupied. One by an avian couple and another by a young girl. Ignoring the bovine that had wondered up to the table... somehow, Aruna focused on her waitressing. Business seemed like it was slowly picking up.
Slithering up to the table occupied by John, the scaled female smiled. “Welcome. May I get you something drink or eat?”

Melethia heard a familar voice. She turned to look at Roy. She smiled. It was nice for her to see him again.
"I don't think you need to be sorry Spitfire." She said. "I think he's an idiot. I'm VERY well tempted to let him eat some fire, but I don't think it will end well for me. I might get kicked out." She then looked up and down at Roy. She was a bit confused.
"Why are you in the same clothes you wore last night?" She asked.
