Ignace let out a terrified squeak as some hideous creature dropped onto the young man that had startled him so much earlier. He scrabbled behind a chair to watch the ensuing battle. But he couldn't just let the poor boy be eaten... [[He obviously didn't notice the claws.]]
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Lycoris nodded. "I think so. I heard about another tournament, but he hadn't told me anything, so I came to check it out."

Chryseis looked around. "Why would Jack want a tournament? Obviously he's not after fear, since warriors showless fear... and his witch left him thirty years ago!"
Chryseis began to think, and noticed Leyward was still there. "G-Gah! Don't tell me you're going to attack me!"

Leyward ignored the beautiful woman staring at him for a moment and looked back at Chryseis. "No! Im not gonna attack you! I just want to know what is going on here!" He heard a crash and a roar and drew his hands out of his robe sleeves. "What was the heck is that?"

Heratik was startled, but not off guard. He quickly dodge-rolled to the side, barely avoiding the creature I saw in my nightmares last night. He snapped his left hand, making it enveloped in the same coat of energy as his right hand. He growled very lowly and his eyes turned completely black.
"What the hell is this!? It's...revolting!"

Chryseis sighed. "It seems to be that we have more company...and I have a feeling they won't be anywhere near as friendly."

Leyward looked at Chryseis and then back towards the library. He clenched his fists and they began to glow a faint blue color. "Well, it certainly doesn't sound friendly, but you seem good enough, Ill help you." He looked back at Chryseis and gave her a small grin "Im Leyward by the way, nice to meet you Chryseis."

A new portal opened up in some secluded area of the mansion, away from anyone else. A metal figure stepped out, head to toe he had body armor, on his back was a supressed SMG. At his side a pistol, and on his chest in it's sheth, a rather used looking combat knife. He tapped the side of his helmet. Then smacked it a few times. He changed his comm channel to speaker. "Great, comms don't work" The armored man muttered to himself. He sighed and pulled the smg off his back, checked to make sure everything was in order, then checked the rest of his gear. He made sure both night and thermal vision modes still functioned before switching back to normal and moved, cautiously into the hallway. Why do I have the weirdest feeling that things are going to be increadably difficult, and that I may be the weakest one here He thought. he quickly shook the thought off. Him? weak? Bah!, Bah! and Bah! again. He was one of the greatest, a true man who looked death in the eyes and over came the odds of war. How many men had he killed, how many had he looeked at, eye to eye, then blew their grey matter out. He was Joesph Pternov. He would not, be called weak.

"Nice to meet you too, Leyward," Chryseis said, nodding, as she began to run over in the direction of the library. "No guts, no glory!"

Ignace muttered a quiet curse under his breath as he noticed the youth's claws of shadow. "I don't know who to trust here. I should just leave." [[He has no inner dialogue because people can't hear him generally.]] He went to a door at random and opened it, walking through a short hallway into a large room where two women and a man were talking.
~*~*~*~
Lycoris glanced to a door which had just swung open and a small smile appeared on her face. She shrugged at Chryseis. "I'm confused too, that's why I came here." She followed Chryseis towards the newly opened door.

Since he had gotten Heratik's attention, and since Heratik was obviously no pushover, the Abomination reared back and put up his dukes... all four of them. On his very front legs, he began to rub his tibial hooks against eachother in anticipation as he walked. He advanced just a little further, then finally lunged at Heratik, slashing outward horizontally with both claws, while keeping his guard up with his other two forelegs.

Heratik had tried backing up, but wasn't able to get out of the way. The hooks had scraped along his chest and stomach. Heratik let out a wretched scream. Upon being struck, he fell backwards onto the floor. Reacting quickly, he pressed his hands behind him. Pushing back with them, he tries to spring back up by kicking out at the abomination with his feet. (if it helps, its kinda like a jack knife kick or something)

Leyward followed Chryseis as she ran into the library, leaving the beautiful women behind. Leyward stood in the doorway and was horrified at what he saw. A huge, mutated looking beast seemed to be attacking a minor. He looked back at Chryseis as the youth kicked at the beast's chest to fend it off. "Should we help him? And what the hell is that thing? Some kind of demon? Ive never seen one like it in my Demonology books."

Chryseis then noticed something particular about the youth. "I've seen him! I saw him, 40 years ago...!"
Chryseis, wanting to analyze the situation first, called out to Heratik, "Hey! Why aren't you using dark power?"

Joesph heard shouting nearby. He did one last check of the submachine gun. He flipped the fire selector to semi automatic. He slowly moved closer to where he could hear the sounds of battle.

Abomination #2 blocked Heratik's counter-attack with the fore-legs he had left raised when he attacked with his hooks. He felt more vibrations coming this way, and decided that there was a bit too much prey in this room, especially if the prey would all fight back like this one. Deciding to cut his losses, Abomination #2 jumped onto the wall, scurried up to the ceiling, and smashed a sizable hole in the ceiling. He hissed angrily at his foes below and quickly climbed through the hole. On the next floor, he quickly began fleeing out of the room and down a hallway, trying to find the best place to lay low for a while and construct a web.
