"Well, it's a pleasure to meet you Danika."
"I've had classes, but I wouldn't call any of them interesting per sae. My first class is Geometry: boring. Then I have Physics: more boring. After that is a break for study hall, and then Literature, which is the worst." Mili realized that she was going on about how much she hated her classes, and figured she should explain, "It's not that I hate school. I like to learn, but it is almost pointless trying to learn in class. It's a waste of time, really. We waste the first part of the semester going over things from last year that other people forgot. I didn't forget it, so why should I have to do it all over again?"
Okay, that didn't sound much better.
At this rate, Mili was going to ruin Danika's opinion about everything. Maybe she should be quiet for a bit and let her talk. It was going to kill Mili not to talk on and on, but she really was being a bit insensitive to the new girl.
She twirled one of her braids in her finger as a mindless gesture to keep her mouth shut. "What classes did they place you in?"

Danika gave a small smirk, "So much reviewing does sound tiresome if you already have it memorized. Quite repetitive." She decided to leave out how badly her own grades were suffering. The girl had a good memory, she just never applied herself in the first place.
"Oh, uh," She blinked, "I'm taking mostly the general classes as well. I'm looking forward to horticulture though. For my physical education class I've decided to try archery."
Danika really wanted to work on her aim for objects that could only shoot straight. As a scout, she had used the same attack for years, but to be honest she rarely used it due to the danger it posed with her lack of ability to control it. Being in a busier city, she thought it might help to try and practice specifically to make more use of it.
Not wanting to really have to talk anymore about herself (or really talk at all), she tried to pass the conversation back, "Have you tried applying to jump up a grade? That way when they do the review, it'd be your first time learning it continually."

Mili continued twirling her hair, "Well, to skip a grade, I'd have to be getting good marks..." Her voice trailed off, and she figured she should change the subject.
"You said you were doing archery? That sounds like it'll be fun. Right now in PhyEd I'm learning how to ballroom dance. It's not the most physically demanding, but they say it helps refine us as young ladies." Mili rolled her eyes a little at that bit.
Of course, the less work she did in her gym class the better. Mili much prefered to work out her mind than her body. She was more full-bodied than the other girls at Crystal, but she didn't mind. In fact, she liked it.
Not wanting to stand in the bathroom all day, Mili walked to the door, and opened it part way before continuing, "Did you know the way to your first class?"

Danika caught the trail end of the sentence, belatedly realizing that the other girl might be like her and just not do the work, able minded though they may be. Well, she never admitted to poor grades to her fellow students, so no reason to have the other girl do so.
She let the subject drop and moved back to the physical education one, "I've done a little dance before as required, but nothing too intense. Ballroom dancing is pretty.." What was a good word? "Uniform..? But elegant."
Watching the girl head to the door, Danika gave a pleasant nod, "I do indeed, thank you. I hope I didn't take too much of your time."

Mili glanced through the crack in the door, and at the clock in the hallway; she could still make it to part her morning meeting if she jogged there. Running in heels was not her cup of tea, but she was starting to get used to it due to her late night extracurricular activities. "No, you didn't take much time at all!" she said. One couldn't take time that the other wasn't willing to give, and Mili didn't really mind. In fact, she could use Danika as an excuse for being late.
"I hope you enjoy your fist day of class here; you'll find Crystal is pretty uniform but elegant too." She caught herself winking at that last bit. Sometimes she could be a bit cheesy and lay it on real thick. "It was nice talking to you, Danika, and I'm sure we'll bump into each other again."

"I'm sure I will, thank you again." Danika smiled, though was taken back a bit at the wink. Was.. she supposed to wink back? Or did the girl just have something in her eye?
"Take care, Mili." She gave a short nod, then waved as she turned down the hall. Now that she knew the restrooms were tucked quietly away, it'd make finding them easier as she would know where to look. It was also good reference material to make note of for any possible future.. incidents.
Aside from giving a poor first impression, Danika didn't think that went too poorly. Relatively speaking.
