Tallulah frowned. "I think that sounds like a good idea," she said quietly to Jaimie. She'd meant to observe the action, not wind up smack in the middle of it. At any rate, the two uniformed fighters were distracting each other for the time being.

"On the count of three, run," she hissed.

"One."

She nodded towards a breezeway between the science wing and the gymnasium.

"Two."

Her grip on his wrist tightened.

"Three."

Tallulah bolted. She started out dragging Jaimie behind her, but at some point let go of him. Whether he followed was his own decision. When she'd gotten as far as the pool, she stopped and looked around. Jaimie was nowhere to be seen.

She frowned, took out her phone, and started slowly back towards where she had come from.

His pride crackled hotly at the implication that he wasn't a match for an girl with an giant rubber hammer, and for a few moments, with his jaw set, and eyes flashing it looked for a second that, magically appearing hammer or not, that Jaimie himself might actually jump Linarite.
In fact it would have been damn tempting if Tallulah hadn't had her fingers firmly locked around one of his wrists, and tightening.
The sudden jerk on his arm of her breaking into an impressively fast sprint jerked him out of the thoughts of weather or not it was fair to sock an crazy lady, and with a surprised grunt, he ran after her, if only in defense of keeping his arm in it's socket.
This is psychotic!! He raged, inwardly, trying to keep up without tripping in the dark, but the grounds were familiar to Tallulah, but totally alien to him. When her hand separated it's vice grip from his wrist, it took almost no time at all to get separated.
...And then trip up, separating further from the sound of her footsteps with a muffled curse as he stumbled a few steps trying to regain his balance.
DamnDamnDamnDamnDamn!! He thought, in a brief panic, looking for something to hide behind. Tactically, it was technically probably better that they weren't immediately together. It would make them harder for Crazy Lady to catch up to them. EITHER. Of the Crazy girls. But that also meant he was rather lost, and had no idea if it was safe, or even a good idea, to head back for the wall. He could call Tal's cell, but that seemed like an even worse idea. The ring, hell even a buzz from a vibrating phone, would give away her location. So would the light from his.
This is like something out of a bad horror film! Next thing you know there's going to be monsters popping out of the bushes!

The buildings were all featureless in the darkness at this point. It seemed neverending, the wall, groping along it to see when it terminated so that he could somehow run behind it -- adrenaline making the entire thing a laboured, awful process, especially lost in the grounds and bewildered as to where he was.

"Psst!"

The whisper in the darkness was -- definitely a whisper. It could have been his imagination.

"Psst!"

But then it came again.

It was situated -- down. As he finally stumbled behind the building, some kind of sixth sense made Jaimie look down: and there he saw the cat. It was a pretty cat, as cats' attractiveness went, grey fur nigh-on charcoal in the darkness, and what pierced the darkness was the star on her forehead. It was a shining silver star, giving off its own light, illuminating her, and she was looking directly at Jaimie.

"Psst!" she repeated again. (The cat was talking? The cat was talking.) "For the Moon's sake, come here! Come here if you want to live! This shouldn't be a really difficult choice, unless you're a complete moron!"

The soft sound made the hair on the back of his neck prickle, all too readily imagining the soft breathy sound to be coming from a titan sized monster, hissing air through it's teeth as it savored the idea of chewing on him like a piece of gum.
Trying to find his way to a hiding place, he jumped slightly, when his eyes fell on the cat, his imagination, cranked into overdrive by the darkness, re imagined it's silvery shape into an enormous talon, before letting it melt back into the more familiar, mundane shape of a cat.

Well... mundane until you considered the fact that it was radiating light from it's forehead.

"What the -frig-?" He hissed between teeth, impulsively edging toward the cat. "Hey kitty...really funny. Someone put a radio on your collar or something? either that or I need to check the soda I had earlier..." He commented under his breath. The cat could probably hear him fine. Cat's had good ears. He hoped crazy people didn't.
If you want to live? Kitty's taking squeaky hammer wielding nutters pretty seriously. He mentally scoffed, wondering if he'd been roped into some kind of massive prank... or was this really part of the things he and Tallulah had come to investigate? People jumping off or roofs... giant squeaky hammers appearing out of nowhere.... glowing cats....
At least he -liked- cats.

"Serenity," cursed the feline. "Save me from neophyte senshi."

The cat's tail was waving. Didn't that mean something? Did it mean cats were mad? There didn't seem to be... any collar, which meant no radio. Which meant possibly, a robotic cat. That or -- the conversation was really happening, out of the cat's mouth. And it certainly seemed to be moving.

All of a sudden, in a beautiful arc, the cat flipped back like one of those toy dogs -- a beautiful, three-hundred-and-sixty-degree circle. There was a flash of light. Then the cat was holding a golden and brown pen in its mouth, which it dropped as though it was hacking out a hairball.

"Pick that up," she ordered -- it was a girl's voice. "You are Sailor Regulus, senshi of Pride, and if you want to save yourself and your friend I suggest you get a move on. Regulus Power, Make-Up! -- repeat that after me, NO additions, NO mumbling, NO slurring."

Oh great. I am going totally insane.... thats awesome. He gave a faint, scoffing laugh of disbelief, gingerly reaching to pick up the pen between his fingertips. Flashy lights... cat drool and pens... this was getting better by the second. "Save her with...." He started to protest the insanity of it, but then, thought better of it. "This is crazy..." He sighed. Maybe he should just go along with the joke for now. I mean...where was the harm? Bizzare as it was the worst that could happen, it seemed like, was getting bopped with a giant rubber hammer. Right? Even if it did seen weirdly... sinister.
I mean if they thought that making drag jokes was going to bother him than they were picking on the wrong delinquent. With a faint eyeroll he repeated. "Regulus Power, Make up!"
Tallulah was probably somewhere around here, filming the whole thing and sniggering up her sleeve.

And if she was, she was about to get a show.

With a flash of golden swirly lights and an amazing amount of what appeared to be special effects, Jaimie was treated to the odd sensation of being ripped inside out -- of having his skin pulled off and of growing a new one, of settling into a shell that was as familiar as it was strange. Of otherness. Of power, travelling along his fingertips and playing along his skin. He felt stronger, swifter, like every sense had been put in a pencil-sharpener and twisted until fine.

"Sailor Regulus," said the cat. "Go and save your friend -- and assist Sailor Pegasus. The girl with the hammer was a Lieutenant of the Negaverse, an evil I really can't explain right now. If you don't want to be a fail whale, I'd get going."

Hissing in frustration, Linarite tried to swing forward with her hammer as the senshi and the schoolkids both called her bluff. She wasn't strong, but she was fast. Unfortunately the idea of having a sailor senshi at her back kept her from hopping forward as quickly as she'd have wanted to. This left her alone facing the senshi, and her battle with the boy of that kind previously had put a few ideas into her head.

"Well, that was a failure. Should I even bother, or are you going to run off like a coward to?" Linarite tried to cover her anger with bravado, and stood considering the bluegreen senshi with disdain.

The kids took off in a flash as soon as Linarite was distracted, and Pegasus breathed a sigh of relief. That was one less thing she had to deal with. Unless there were more negabaddies around, which somehow she doubted. This blue haired girl seemed like she really wanted the reputation, and didn't seem like the kind to bring someone who might mess it up for her. It was just her and Linarite... or so she thought. Little did she know that Jaimie had recently found himself to be Sailor Regulus, unbalancing the scales in the Good Guy's favor.

The teal-skirted senshi gave Linarite a flat look when she suggested she might run away, shaking her head back and forth slowly. "No, I don't think I will be. You're perfectly free to, though," She replied a little darkly, shifting into a more offensive stance. Now that the kids were out of there, she would have no problem attacking this nega-scum.

"I...you..." It was a rare enough occurrence to totally catch Jaimie...sorry. Sailor Regulus without words that under different circumstances, someone might have been tempted to call the press... or at least alert the school news rag. "FAIL whale??" He spluttered, latching onto the least irrational thing that had just happened. Holy cheese and crackers.... someone seriously owed him some amazing explanations... Oh GOD. What was Tallulah going to think if she saw him like this!! He didn't want to be on you-tube in... whatever the hell you appropriately called this outfit.
"Someone better explain this..." he protested, probably to no avail. (When did it EVER do anything to protest to a cat?)
At the same time, it was... familiar. Like walking into someplace that you were sure you'd never been but felt more like home than home. He had to reason that was the part, along with the exhilarating sense that he was somehow more powerful than he'd ever been before, that prompted him to give up on trying to shake down the cat for answers, and actually try and find his way back toward the fight.
Sailor Pegasus huh? Sailor Regulus... this. Was. Nuts.
But not quite as nuts, probably, as charging back onto the scene of something that was getting billed as terrorism.

Ok he'd just kinda.... skip this in his journal.

Tallulah knew better than to rush back into a dangerous situation, but she couldn't help herself. She needed this footage, and when Tallulah needed something, she'd stop at nothing to get it. Hopefully the two... she wasn't sure what they were... the two whatevers had each other distracted, because it didn't seem like they'd made an effort to pursue her. Unless they had Jaimie and then...

If they had Jaimie, then he would be wherever they were. She assured herself of this and felt smart, which was what she was.

She moved back towards where they had first encountered the strange blue haired girl, keeping close to the side of the building where there were deep shadows. The backlight on her phone's screen was off, but the camera was on-

-And there they were! Tallulah crouched behind a planter and hit the zoom. She would get this and then they'd start figuring out what was going on.

No way! If she ran off without a scratch, or any mark whatsoever, Charonite would be more than happy to leave said marks on her as punishment. And she hadn't even gotten any information to bargain with and lessen said unhappiness. No, Linarite definitely was not going to turn and run away from this fight! The boy senshi she'd fought didn't seem like he had any backup, and neither did this one.

Narrowing her eyes, Linarite started to circle the other senshi, looking for the perfect angle of attack. Without a word or a warning, she shifted and swung out, throwing herself at the senshi. Letting an enemy know when an attack was coming was something only those idiot pretty princesses did!

Hopefully the blow would land. Or get close. OR SOMETHING.

She could practically see the inner workings of the lieutenant's mind working, spinning as the contemplated the scenario, and Pegasus clenched her fists a bit, knowing what was coming. If she hadn't ran already, there was a good chance that she wouldn't. The teal-skirted senshi had always wondered what was so scary that these Negaverse baddies didn't want to go back empty handed. If she had to guess, it was some scary overlord, bent on destroying everything and not caring whether or not he scared his stooges shitless. Pegasus almost felt bad thinking it though -- the fact of the matter was that it was possible that they had to. She didn't know. She had never really had an in-depth conversation with a nega-baddie. Usually they were too pre-occupied trying to steal starseeds, destroy a school, etc. Overall she got the feeling they were a talkative bunch, but not much for communication.

Shifting a little, Sailor Pegasus shifted into a more defensive position, watching the blue-haired girl like a hawk, moving her head and eyes but keeping her body steady, despite how she wanted to turn. She knew the motion would just throw off any momentum she had in trying to escape, but the instinct to keep her enemy in front of her was overwhelmingly compelling. And when said enemy was certainly trying to kill you, she couldn't exactly blame her instincts for wanting to stay alive.

'Focus,' she murmured to herself, waiting, ignoring the chill as a gust of wind kicked up some dirt around her feet. 'If you let your guard down..'

Without warning, the lieutenant threw her body forward, the hammer like a multi-colored bludgeon swinging towards her with full force, The senshi wasted no time in diving to the side, barely escaping the squeaky mallet of doom as it swung by her hair. A hair more, and she would have had a face full of pink rubber. Rolling a little in the dirt, the strawberry blonde girl shoved herself to her feet, crossing her arms across her chest.

No time to waste.

"Dream Kinesis!"

As if to add insult to injury... or maybe it was just... injury to injury...
that was about when the second Senshi showed up on the scene.
He'd finally picked his way back to where he'd last seen the two lunatics...er... sorry 'Senshi' and 'Negaverse' people, just in time to see Pegasus take a near miss from the hammer. For such a comical looking weapon, she didn't look anything but serious, and he suddenly doubted that he wanted to get hit with it, and probably neither did the girl he assumed had to be Pegasus.
"CLAWS OF THE LION!"
The yell was potentially more startling than his arrival, and certainly announced his presence at least as well as the glaring white of his uniform top.
The attack sent two handfuls of bright flaming blades spinning toward his target, the woman with the hammer. He didn't know particularly where the idea of the attack came from, but it felt about as right as the 'new' skin he was wearing... though retrospectively he might have taken more time to aim.

"Woah," breathed Tallulah, squinting and trying to hold the phone steady. This was intense! She'd expected, well, paintball or something, to be honest, and this was anything but paintball! The girl with the hammer seemed like bad news, of course, but then she wasn't exactly sure that the girl and boy in sailor suits were good news. (Sailor suits! Like she and Jaimie had talked about! Except they didn't really look like modified school uniforms. The lines were all wrong.)

She couldn't really make out what they were saying, and hoped that maybe her phone's microphone could (although it was unlikely... it wasn't really a fancy model.) What had that girl in the teal just done? And were those... were those flames?

Tallulah debated calling the fire department, but the school did not appear to catch fire. Still, she knew what she'd seen, and she had it recorded for proof. It was like some kind of action movie, but real!

She inched forward, out from behind the shelter of the planter, curious about what might happen next.
