Our chants aren't that..interesti- Well I lied. If you listen to our drum line you'll get all sorts of odd crap and most of it you can't understand. One of our favorites is " Yeeeeaaaahh!" " Baaaannnnddd!" " OH YEEEEAAAHHH!" " YEEEAAAHHHHH!" " SHAZAM!!!!" " YEEEAAAHHHHHHH!"
"HILLSHIRE FARM.. Go.. Central..?" Then everyone one is like " What in the hell?"
It's mostly random nonsense thrown together to sound like a chant. sadly we don't have any TRUE chants. xD

I'm the DM this year, and we have this really funny cheer that's more like a game but it's super fun. We pretend like we're on a rollercoaster, and I start them out with their hands in the air and we pull them down like we'd pull down the straps on a roller coaster. Then we make the noise and bounce up and down when we're being pulled up on the first hill, then I yell three two one and we 'fall' down the hill, and they follow me as I make them go to the left, right, in loops, up hills, down hills. Then we go to another hill where we get pulled up and do it again. Then at the end we all 'throw up' together biggrin We have another cheer that makes no sense: Go Gorilla Go! Go Gorilla Go! You lean to the left! You lean to the right! You peel the banana, and, UH! You take a bite!

"When I say Hillshire, you say Farms! Hillshire Farms! GO TOFU!"
"I lost the game, you guys!"
Our junior sousaphone player brings everyone around him on the beginning set of our show to him and is like, "Let me give you a pep talk."
One football team came on the field shouting, "I LOVE FOOTBALL! (I LOVE FOOTBALL!)" so, naturally, the (low) brass section adopted it. "I LOVE MARCHING BAND! (I LOVE MARCHING BAND!)"
My section leader will always say, "Play with your brass balls hanging low!"
Another she says is always, "If a tuba player is playing a low B flat and you grab his junk, what will happen to the note?"

Lemme see... "Redd Robbinn!" This one kid in our band always yells "Can I get a NOOOIIIICE!" "Nooiiccee" Can I get a RIGHTEOUS??!!" "RIGHTEOUS!!!"
This one guy, Brandon, is asian, so we all say he has the 'Asian Persuasion' so he always starts up chants like "Sack the Pack" and "Smite the Knight"
And finally, for a while last year, instead of yelling "G-Town!" during the cadence, my friends and I would yell "Tea-bag!!!"

Tsukina Kitakaze surge5 haha both of urs are pretty funny smile theres also this thing, i have no idea where the hell it came from, but the one band member with the loudest voice always screams "what time is it?" and then the rest of the band screams, "GAME TIME WHO!!!!" OH EM GEE! That was just like up at Tabb before i moved!!! D: Dx i misses them so much! --------------------------------- anyways one of them goes (and our cheer leaders stole it from us cause they can't think of one themselves Dx) LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE! A-WOOT! LAKESIDE! (repeat) another goes "YOU JUST LOST THE GAME!" xD and one other goes "Hail Lakeside! (Hail Lakeside) Hail Lakeside! (Hail Lakeside) Hail [enter other school name here] (HELL NO!)" i think our senior section (as in the section of seniors that goes to the games and cheers for the team) created that one but then again . . . idk one of the trumpets was shouting that chant at a competition when all the bands were having a chant war. Wait, when you say Lakeside, you mean Lakeside as in the one in Georgia?

Our cheerleaders are always stealing our cheers, and then claiming it was theirs. For example(not sure if I posted this yet)
Seniors: when I say Santa, you say Rita! SANTA! Everyone: RITA! Seniors: SANTA! Everyone: RITA! Seniors: When I say green, you say gold! GREEN! Everyone: GOLD! Seniors: GREEN! Everyone: GOLD! Seniors: When I say number, you say 1! NUMBER! Everyone: ONE! Seniors: NUMBER! Everyone: ONE! Seniors: SANTA! Everyone: RITA! Seniors: GREEN! Everyone: GOLD! Seniors: NUMBER! Everyone: ONE! (Insert screaming loudly)
They stole that from us. We started it at a festival once, and now the cheerleaders get mad at us when we do it because it is "their cheer."
A funny saying that has become a bit of an inside joke in my band; "Can we do Jose?" Jose is a drum cadence after our fightsong. This year we got all new staff, including a new bd. Our drum instructor is named Jose, ironically, and our bd is still young so she still thinks like that. well, the percussion asked "Ms G, can we do Jose?" and she flipped out.
Another game cheer: Band: HEY (insert somebody, ex: freshman, dms, bd, staff, boosters, etc) Them: WHAT?!?! Band: SHAKE YOUR BOOTY! Them: No way! Band: SHAKE YOUR BOOTY! Them: OK! Band: Jump, shake your booty! Jump jump! shake your booty! AHHHHHHH (Theres a dance for it and everything. Soemtimes they get back at us, and soemtimes at festivals we do it to other bands. A lot of times, it takes a few tries to ge tthem to either answer or say ok.)

In our band, we have this thing called "The Pride Drill". We chant it after every competition. And it's pretty intense and magical, especially for former band members. *the band is at standby* DM - Band, atten. hut! *band then goes to attention* B - OC! DM - Heads! B - Up! DM - Heads! B - Up! DM - Shoulders! B - Up back down! DM - Shoulders! B - Up back down! DM - Stomach! B - In! DM - Stomach! B - In! DM - Feet! B - Together! DM - Feet! B - Together! DM - Are you proud?! B - Yes M'am/Sir! DM - Are you proud?! B - Yes M'am/Sir! *BD will say something important about the night* DM - ARE. YOU. PROUD?! B - YES M'AM/SIR! *band goes into spazzmic frenzy of cheers* Here's a visual of it. xd http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNbXiS4iX6Y&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PL92EEE0A43C54DF9B

As for funny ones...
"When we say O, you say C. O, C! O, C! I lean, I lean, I lean, I lean, I lean, I lean, I lean, I lean! *chants while leaning to the left* I lean, I lean, I lean, I lean, I lean, I lean, I lean!" *chants while leaning to the right* And it repeats.
One of our tenors, KayKay, says "Can I get a Whoop Whoop?" "WHOOP WHOOP!"
And one of our trumpets, Davey, usually points at random band members and yells, "COME ON!" "COME ON!" and this also repeats.

I forogt one.
Random person(Usually one of a handfull fo goofy people in the band): Who's excited? Band; I am! (Usually somebody different): I can't hear you! Who's excited?!?! Band: I AM!
That one is suually done at random, like during drill while running back to spots. Its kind of a pump-up cheer, and a lot of times its somebody in the student staff if they feel the band is dragging down a bit or if the rehearsal is goign rough and long for us. It usually works at getting the energy back up, even jus a little.

Well my school just got a new director, and he had us all stand upfor the whole game, and when the other team has the ball, we get in like a sumo squat. Then our band director count: I, 2, 3! And all the band students yell to distract the other team. It's actually quite effective.

Yeah we're all about the hip thrusting XDD Thats a lot like ours XD It also reminds me of the funny dance we do after our fightsong. first time we played it at bandcamp for our new bd, she couldn't stop laughig n part 1. During the whole time, an awesome drum cadence of a mixture of different songs, like mortal combat. Part 1: We do the macarena and end said macarena with a pelvic thrust and a "HUH". This goes twice, and its really fast. (We used to say "I slept with your mom" while shaking our hips and that would be followed by the pelvic thrust, but that got outlawed by band parents. It went right with the cadence too. Some people still say it under their breath.) Part 2: Fist pumps and say "go" Part 3: We clap and, if not in the stands, stomp our feet along with the drum cadence(simple hits). The woodwinds last year added in jumping the second time we go through the hits, but we just bounce in the stands when we do it for the sake of instruments, since we've had a few near fall experiences.

We don't have any chants. But we do have a lot of little section sayings.
"It's all fun and games until someone chips a reed." The Susaphones always seem to say "You got Susa PWND." When dealing with the piccolos (Sadly, this ones is usually our band director), "How do you get two piccs to be in tune? Shoot one."
