Pepper seemed to be greatly relieved to find that the little girl was okay and alive. He felt her grab ahold of his leg and he dunked his hand down and into the water to wrap around her waist and haul her up so her head was above water. Now he clinging to the rock looking at the shore line...it wasn't THAT far. Though given how deep it was right here he wasn't really sure he wanted to try and wade the rest of the way to the shore.
"You okay Freckles?" He inquired moving her so she could cling to his shoulder bones.

Tally coughed lightly. She hadn't had enough time to adjust before the waves had crashed over her. With a small head shake the toddler freed some of the ocean water from herself. Then she about freaked until she realized that it was Pepper holding onto her.
"Yeah! Iz okay!" Tally looked up at Pepper with a slight frown, "Does Rocky not like wata?" She asked before clinging around his shoulders. That was sad if he didn't' like water! But she knew that many didn't and the toddler still couldn't' really understand why. Especially why they couldn't breath under water like she could.
Patiently she leaned against him and surveyed the water. Was it getting deeper already? The toddler shook her head. Nah, surely not.

Pepper frowned at the question. It wasn't he didn't like it...okay he liked it as much as a drowned cat may. Yuck. More so he hated how his skin itched after wards...bleeeeeh.
"Come on Freckles I'll get you that treat once we get to shore.." he muttered after making sure she had a hold on him he then released his hold onto the rock.
His feet touched the silty sandy ground with a squish..okay it wasn't as deep as he had dreeded but each wave seemed to go over him and the girl causing him to sputter and gasp. He hurried along to the shore nearly collasping onto the beach though stopping himself as he didn't want to be covered in sand..and then have to go back into the ocean to get the stuff off.
Using a hand he reached up and then helped Natayla down.

"Kay-Kay~" Tally pouted slightly though. Rocky hadn't answered her question, but she figured he really didn't like water after all. But the promise of a treat made Tally brighten up again. Icy Cream! She closed her eyes in a silent squee.
Reluctantly Tally climbed down from her high position. "Rocky gonna make it?" She asked lightly touched Pepper's hand. Her antenna blinked worriedly before she tugged him away from the waves. "We sit soon!" She added pointing towards the ice cream stand where a couple of benches were.

Ug he felt like a drowned cat his hair clung to his face and he generally felt disgusting. Shaking his head slightly he felt the hair whip him in the face and he tried not to swear before he felt the tugging on his hand.
Looking down at the small girl he gave her a grin,
"yeah soon...first ice cream." He agreed as he was starving at this point. He let her lead her to the icecream stand the man reconizing Pepper basically fled...as the last time he had been chased by the boy.
Shrugging he opened the cart and reached inside grabbing the first two he could find before offering one to the small girl.

Tally felt like she was floating above the sand as she walked with Pepper to the ice cream stand. When they got there the toddler dug her toes into the comforting squish before taking the ice cream. "Ice cream man no like Rocky?" She whispered in curiosity as he disappeared from sight. Weird. Nothing about them seemed scary to her.
"Yum!" Tally giggled as she licked at the ice cream. Soon enough a big bite had taken care of most of it and the toddler tried her best to savor what was left. Chocolate, one of her favorites. She smiled gratefully at Pepper before remembering something.
"Oh! Rocky!" Tally grinned and dug through the small pouch that she had carried with her. With a giggle she held up the sparkly shell, "For jo!"

He licked his own icecream more...tentatively, he didn't like sweets all that much but it seemed weird to just stand there and watch.....holy cow she was almost done??
He stared at her wondering just...what...how...and then he sighed and offered her his icecream.
"Here Freckles...and yeah I don't think the icecream man likes me much." He stated with a shrug.

Tally blinked. "Aww...you sure?" She asked but already was eating on Pepper's ice cream. The toddler frowned, "Ice cream man's stupid then." Really, she didn't understand how people could not like each other. Then again...Tally just sighed before taking another bite.
But then she nodded, "Cuz Rocky's nice! I like Rocky." She added cheerfully as she finished off the second ice cream. Tally smiled, that had been a nice snack!

'Rocky' turned to look down at the small girl giving her a grin, so she wasn't scared of him...that was good. Thought he icecream man...had reason to be scared of him..due to past experiences.
He ruffeled the girls hair, tapping the strange globe thing that dangeled from her forhead.
"Like you too Freckles," He chimed in as he gave a bit of a chortle. He was starting to feel that prickly sensation his skin got when the salt water dried on it...ugg...it made him twitch.
He moved over to sit on the bench and then set about scratching.

Tally giggled happily before sliding on the bench next to Pepper. "Rocky scratchy?" She asked curious. A startled look came over her features, "Oh! No!" She remembered watching something with Sabra about reactions to certain foods...even treats like ice cream.
Tally nearly jumped up with alarm, "Was you lergic to the icy cream?!" She asked looking back to the stand. Should they have not come here? Her antenna flashed brightly as she looked back and forth from Pepper to the ice cream stand.

Pepepr's eyes widened as he was nearly lept upon by the smaller girl.
"What?? No.."He was momentarrilly blinded by the lure's glow and he was forced to shake his head to try and see again. He put a hand on her head to try and calm her down.
"The salt from the water makes my skin itchy..." he explained trying to itch another spot lightly. Maybe he should just not itch..

Tally inhaled a sharp breath of relief. "Oh, rewe?" She blinked sheepishly at Pepper. "Well I'ms glad that icy cream wasn't the cause." The toddler grinned before tilting her head in curiosity.
"Salt itchies ya?" She never heard of ocean water making someone itchy before! Bugs sure, but water? Tally frowned thoughtfully. This was interesting!
"So throwin' water on ya hurts." She mused before giggling, "Buh! At least Rocky don't melts like the Wicked witch lady!"
