Rong turned his attention to the flowers that were being motioned to and he found himself starring at them, taking in their shape, color, scent, and the way they were growing. He found himself wondering on that, did he like them? It was harder for him to decide when it came to inanimate objects he decided as the flowers were nice, the color was one he found himself liking but as a whole did he like flowers? He seemed to be focused on the very closely as though perhaps he were expecting some sort of epiphany to come to him but none did. So he shrugged, another new sort of gesture to him but one he felt he would end up using a lot since it seemed easier.
He turned his attention to Rei once more, wondering what he thought of the plants. Did he like them? He must given the way he had been talking to them earlier, did they talk back? Was their language just one he didn't hear or understand? He wasn't sure, it was a curious question.

Rei blinked a bit at the shrug he recieved as an answer. So...he didn't know...or didn't care? He wasn't sure but he turned to very gently touch one of the flowers, his finger gently caressing the bloom as he looked...at it lovingly. It was hard to picture a face quite like his without seeing it, he looked at bliss like nothing in the world could compare to the flower that he was so gently touching.
"Flower...live here." He explained gesturing to the other plants. He couldn't literally understand flowers..he juut got a vibe from them. "Flower drink water, absorb sun.." He pointed to the dirt and then the sky. "Folower.is happy." He decided giving Rong another of his rare occurrence smiles.

Rong was certain now that Rei liked the flowers if that face he was making was any indication. It a strange sort of expression that was one he couldn't seem to place but he made the connection, something about flowers made this one happy. No... no, it seemed like more then just happiness, what was that look? That feeling? It was nothing that he knew.
He listened closely as Rei explained flowers to him, what they liked, what they did, what they wanted. They seemed... very simple to him, like the plants back home that his Father looked after, plants he said would one day become food for the village. Did Rei look upon then in the same way? Did he want to eat them just as Ryhdderch did? It would explain why he was gazing at them in such a manner. He lifted a hand to poke at one of the flowers, ones twice, then he found himself blinking as there was a small 'crack' sound and the blossom fell down to land on the ground between him and Rei.

Rei was still smiling until the ominous crack occurred, then the blossom fell and by judging by his facial expression you would swear Rong had just killed his best friend. Tears welled up in his eyes as he went to scoop up the fallen blossom cupping it carefully and getting pollen on his hands. "You kill!" he sobbed as he then turned and tottered off to Liam the fallen plant still in his hands tears were now flowing down the sides of his face.
Liam moved to intercept his..'son' and then gently patted his head, he knew Rei was quite sensitive to things of this nature.
"It's okay," He shsshed trying to help the boy calm down, "The blossom just fell off, it's okay..see the plant is still alive." he murmured pointing to the abused stem that Rong was still near.

Rong blinked a couple times, starring down at the flower that had fallen down between them. He watched Rei as he moved to fetch the blossom then could only stare at him as the boy accused him of murdering the plant. He tilted his head ever so slightly to the side before blinking. What? What was he talking about? He watched him as he went running off sobbing to his Father. He seemed confused as to what had just happened and slowly walked after him before he found himself being swept up by Ryhdderch who wasn't so sure it was a good idea that his son followed after him when he was in such a mood.
Rong blinked as he found himself placed back on the perch that was his Father's shoulder and he starred at Rei, feeling a mix of emotion that was somewhere between uncertain and a bit frustrated but he couldn't seem to show that emotion, instead he remained blank, just starred. What had he done wrong? It was just one of many blossoms that the plant was covered in... why did one matter so much among many? In the long run it didn't, the flowers all looked the same, the same color, shape, even the same size, to cry over one of them just silly...
"Perhaps we should take our leave." Ryhdderch said to Liam, "I am sorry about this." He knew that Rong wouldn't apologize, he didn't seem to comprehend that he'd done anything wrong if the look on his face were to be believed. It would be best for them to give the other pair some breathing room, to let the other boy calm down.

Liam looked up after patting the boys head trying to reassure him that the plant was not dead. Rei continued to cradle the blossom as if it was something precious though he was wiping his eyes with his rather long sleeves he was not looking at Rong.
"Hmm..maybe for the best. I will take Rei home. Perhaps we will run into each other another time." He mused as he took his sons free hand and then began to lead him away. Still ushering words to help calm him down as they walked off and out of the garden.

"Alright Rong, I think its about time that we get going. This place is making me rather hungry and I somehow doubt they would let us back in again if I made it into an all I can eat buffet." He told his son before he turned to head in the opposite direction with him. He didn't want for the boy with the tail to see Rong again until he had cheered up over the fallen flower.
Rong turned to look over his shoulder at the direction the other two were going in, wondering what had happened to make them have to leave. Surely they wouldn't leave over a flower? He felt a bit uncertain and a little indignant over the idea. Why would a single blossom cause such a reaction? He gave a shake of his head as he turned his head to lean against his Father's head, one hand lifting to hold onto his broken off horn with his eyeless hand as they headed out.
