Oh man . . . my current boyfriend gave me a necklace a couple of Christmases ago, and I wear it a lot. I'm glad he hasn't given me a ring, though. It's too symbolically heavy. My ex gave me a ring (full symbolism attached) and it just made it all the more awkward when we broke up. I still have it.
