By the time more lads had come to their lockers, the teal-haired lad had put on all of his clothing except for his necktie and his sweater vest. His hair was still damp and hanging down, causing the white shirt to get very wet along the back. Glancing up from the black necktie he was fiddling with, his turquoise eyes widened a bit at who had shown up.
"Oh! That was quite a short shower," he exclaimed very lightly. He hadn't even noticed that the one who had exposed him was in the locker just below his own, so the "oh ******** it" seemed a bit out of the blue.
Howl had no plan on making a big deal over the instance in the showers, but at the same time, he was a bit uncertain what to talk about now. The air seemed a bit heavy and even a bit uncomfortable. Figuring it would be for the best, he set his sights back on his tie. Maybe some things were best left unsaid.

"I had a feeling the longer we stayed, it would only prolong the ridicule for the day." Marlo shrugged as he opened his lock a few feet away. Elzo just stared at his silently, (which made him look like he was staring at Howl's legs. Creepy).
Looking up, Elzo's eyes seemed...evil. They were filled with hate and loathing. "Move." He hissed at Howl, making it clear who he thought was to blame for the scene in the showers. Marlo just shook his head. "Don't worry about it. In a few days, he'll have beaten anyone who dared to call him out on it and will have reestablished himself. He kinda deserved it anyways." but what Marlo failed to understand was that no amount of violence would stop the looks, or the rumors.
And that was why Elzo was so upset. It was not an easy fix. Not unless he got a girl. And even then, it would be hard. No...he had to make sure people knew he detested this..HOWL WICKAM character.
And detest him, Elzo did.

"I suppose that is a fair assessment of the situation," Howl agreed, nodding his head as he continued to fuss with his tie. For all of the elegance that Howl seemed to put on, even he had problems with the basic necktie. He was in the middle of adjusting the knot of his tie when the rather vulgar sound licked the edges of his ears.
Looking up, then down to the source, Howl could see the daggers being glared in his direction. Mentally, he noted a simple "Excuse me" would have easily gotten the same result, but the effeminate lad had figured Elzo was not in the mood for such lecturing. So he simply took a step back from his own locker so that the other lad would have room enough to get into his locker.
"Oh, I did not notice your locker was there. My apologies, Elzo." Howl's tone was polite and pleasant, but still held enough distance to keep things civil. Finishing up with his tie, he figured it might be in his own best interest to let the other boy take care of his locker-needs before reaching to get his sweater vest.
"Oh, I forgot to ask this earlier, but are either of you on any sort of sports team?" Howl figured they were not, but it could have been similar to the Polecats, who had to meet early in the morning for their practice.

"No." Marlo hadn't even time to open his mouth before Elzo replied in a none too friendly tone. His brother was in a pissy mood, that was for sure. "...No, we're not, but, maybe come spring we'll try out for a sport. It gets boring around here." Marlo made sure to keep an eye on his brother, who was busing himself in getting dressed as quickly as possible. Silently, Marlo mouthed sorry to Howl. He didn't fault him for anything, and really...his brother was a bit dramatic.
Elzo grunted as he put on his shirt. He hated having thick hair. Made his clothes get soaked. Looking at Howl, he hissed again at him. 'Turn around. I don't want you watching me dress, fruit." It was clear that in no way was Elzo going to even try and be polite, much less civil. Marlo could only give Howl an apologetic look.

While Elzo was still busying himself initially, Howl caught Marlo's silent apologies. In return, Marlo would get the words "It is okay, I'm used to it."
As Elzo complained about the direction that Howl was facing, all the long-haired lad did was obediently spin around to face the opposite direction. "So, is there any sort of sport you are keen on participating in? Or are you just looking for an 'anything goes' sort of deal?" He remembered at his last school, many boys were not very picky about their sports and went into the first team that seemed eager for them to join. Oh, how college seemed to consume most of a student's time with all the "requirements" on the paperwork.

"Well, I was thinking abou-" "None of your damn business. That's what." Elzo cut of his brother. Really, Marlo was having enough of it. "GET OVER IT ELZO." His voice was loud, just pandering under full blown yelling. "You...might want to go. No offense he's...." Marlo really felt bad. Elzo was acting like a brat and Howl had done nothing to warrant it. Not to mention Marlo could only do so much.
Elzo glared at Howl. He was to far gone in his anger to see any logic or good. "Yeah. You should go pretty boy. In a very quick fashion." Elzo made a point to get up in Howl's face, making Marlo tense, ready to defend if need be.

"Indeed."
The physical proximity was a bit intimidating, but Howl kept his appearance as neutral as possible. The one thing really running through his mind at the moment was how he didn't want a single grubby finger on his clean (if not slightly damp) shirt. Once more, he turned around so he was now facing his locker again. He reached into the locker delicately and pulled out his sweater vest.
Instead of putting the vest on, he just closed his locker and began to walk off. He lifted his free hand and uttered to Marlo upon passing "Good luck, my dear Marlo, with your future endeavors."
The effeminate lad didn't quite exit the locker room, but he did at least get himself out of the aisle of lockers where the brothers were getting dressed. Once safely tucked away in an alternate aisle, he took to putting on his vest. As he put on the final article of clothing, Howl couldn't help but wonder if he'd ever find out what sport Marlo was thinking of participating in.

"You too." Marlo silently mouthed to Howl as he passed. The guy hadn't done anything wrong. More so, his brother was just an overreacting a*****e. Marlo would have liked to have a conversation with Howl. Howl seemed sane, which was more then what could be said for half of the Hillworth student body.
Elzo was still fuming. Howl had ruined his image. Ruined it. And now...Elzo had to get revenge. Or at least make sure people knew his loathing of the effeminate boy. He may act nice, but this wasn't about being friends. It was about his manhood! And Elzo would die before ever being caught as 'gay.'
