Was that a blush?
Yes, indeed, it looked like Pierrette's cheeks had gone a few shades redder.
"Y-You really don't have to call me 'miss'," Pierrette shook her head, "I'm just Pierrette." She rubbed her cheeks to try to get the heat away, and lowered her head almost in prayer-like concentration.
Then, with a smile and a bounce, she skipped to the other side of the bakery.
"Do you like truffles?" she called over to the brothers, "They have fresh truffles here in lots of different flavors. Everything from milk chocolate to 70% cacao!" She tried to wave them over, and pointed excitedly at the candies.
They had been made by hand, apparantly, as each candy was shaped differently, with a pool of the hardened liquid at the bottom. Some had powdered sugar on top, others had candy pearls. From the normal chocolate to caramel and hazelnut to exotic 'spicy', this grocery store seemed to have rows and rows of them!

"I don't know you that well. That is all." marlo smiled a bit at her blush. She was cute. Not in the cute girl cute, but the kind of cute a little sister might be cute. her bounce did make Marlo take a small step back, as Elzo seemed to almost bounce with her, (almost). "Truffles are good." Marlo leaned over the case and Elzo pressed his face to the glass. It was leaving a nasty oily print.
"baker. three of each kind of truffle. All split into three seperate bags." The baker's behind the counter's eyes lit up. It had to be the biggest sale of the day! Marlo seemed a bit calmer now that he had found something he could take back, and it had stopped Elzo's whining.
"YESSSSSS." Elzo's whining was gone, and replaced by a goofy grin and a none crushing hug for Marlo.
Behind the counter the baker handed Elzo the three boxes, Marlo still in a headlock from the hug. "Why'd you get three bro?" Marlo huffs as Elzo let him go. Grabbing the top most box, he handed it to Pierrette silently. Elzo stood stunned as Marlo went to but his groceries, leaving the young girl behind.

Pierrette liked the fact that Elzo was... sort of... bouncing with her. The more energy in the room, the better. Happiness was contagious, and Pierrette wanted everyone to experience some of it.
So, when Marlo seemed pleased at her next recommendation, it looked like her smile would take over her entire face-- and that the brightness would outshine the fluorescent lights hanging from the ceiling.
"I'm so happy that I made a good choice! They'll be easier to hide, and they'll taste good, and--" Pierrette stopped short when the box was handed silently to her. She stood in that same silence as Marlo walked off and left her with Elzo.
Her head sank into her shoulders as she held the box close to her. Her face was redder than the colored powder on the spicy truffles, and she nervously looked at Elzo.
"He... didn't really have to do that. I just like to help with sweets and..." she continued to look down at her feet, "G-Good luck tonight, with your pizza."
