Mariel tsked at Donat "You dont know what your missing if you dont eat meat. Only veggies will turn you green!" Of course this was not true but since mariel was mainly a carnivore she had no concept of what a vegetarian was. But of course she assumed he meant that he just preffered veggies over meat but ate them both, afterall who could resist a succulent slice of fish now and again! AND he was not green therefore he ate meat at least sometimes, 'nuff said.
Mariel giggled at Amaras huff when Donat mentioned that she got into trouble. "Dogs save people?! Wow thats so cool, but I bet dragons could save people too....though sometimes they might be too scary to get the job done, like in my books." Mariel always loved dragons mainly because she was anticipating getting one but in some of her fairytale books dragons always eat little children or just destroyed things. So maybe a dragon savior wouldnt be a good idea, it might cause more heart attacks than it would cure...."But if we got alot of dragons to save people then they wouldnt be so scary!"
Mariel smiled and scratched some more places that she could get too since Amara was relaxing even more. She was glad that the dragon seemed to like her AND now that she had a plan to make dragons less scary to the general populace maybe there would be more people willing to give all dragons a good scratch now and again. "See Amara isnt scary, she's pretty, then she can get a TV show too! And you would be her co-star Donat!" Mariel paused for a moment thinking it over "You would be her co-star or would she be your co-star.....cause all of us getting dragons arent exactly like everyone...but....no. dragons are cooler you would be Amaras Co-star."
Mariel had begun to notice that her friends from D-Corp and her friends from the regular Gaia parks were vastly different from each other and had gradualy been applying this difference to herself. She hadnt attached any negatives t being different yet since she was still to young to really care how different she was but she did realize that the kids who were getting dragons like her were all seemingly in one kind of grouping of different.

Donat smiled sheepishly at her scolding, wondering if being a vegetarian was really so bad. It wasn't that he didn't like meat, it was just the fact that...a goat eating something vaguely related to it was...weird. He hadn't even tried meat before, really. Or at least, not that he knew of. He had been on veggies from the start, starting with his dad's back yard. But when Mariel mentioned turning 'green', he laughed. Veggies came in so many more colors than meat! There were greens, purples, yellows, reds, endless amounts of color and flavor! Meat, however, seemed to be reds and whites. That was a bit boring, wasn't it? "But what if I ate only eggplant or carrots?" He grinned down to her.
As soon as she brought up the heroic nature of dogs, and dragons, he sighed in relief. Listening to her, he realized perhaps that was what D-Corp could be doing. After all, not all dragons were bad.... "But not all dragons are scary, are they?" He smiled, patting her on the head. "I bet it would be a good idea. A team of heroic dragons."
Amara grinned as best as she could at the premise of her being a star. She purred even louder, then chirped in agreement to Mariel's idea. Oh yes, she would be a star. Donat blinked, taken aback by being merely a co-star. But after hearing the rest of her thoughts, he laughed. "Yeah, I guess I'm co-star material." He rubbed the back of his neck, smiling awkwardly. "It's not like I can breathe fire or anything. I'm just good at climbing."

Mariel had to think about Donats comment on eggplants/carrots...well they weren't green...so eating them would turn you....she tried to think of what purple and orange mixed together would be and could only come up with brown. Wait Donat was brown! Ah it made more sense now, maybe he didnt eat just the green stuff that Luna was always trying to feed her. She had to reluctantly let Donat win on the subject of vegtables. "Well okay you can be brown if you eat eggplant and carrot, but no green stuff or else you wont be brown anymore!" It was the best compromise she cold think of and so she stuck with it.
Mariel nodded at the idea of a power rangers kind of series but with dragons as the crime fighters instead. Of course in her mind the dragons were the "Zords" and the kid partners were the power rangers but of course on TV everything always worked out perfectly so she saw no reason why that kind of a thing wouldnt work. "Amara can breathe fire?!" As Donat said it the thought struck Mariel and she looked at the shiny dragon with wonder. "Like the dragons on TV!! SEEE Amara can get her own show if she can already do what they do! Now we just need to get you some shiny armor..." She smiled at Donat, of course the makings of a medevil story line starting up in her mind.
Her ears did perk up as Donat mentioned that he liked to climb. "I like to climb too, but I'm not good at it yet. I'm just good at swimming." She mentioned factually then with a smile added. "I wanna be like Indiana Jones one day, so I have to learn to do both better...I think.. AND AND I have to learn to use a whip!" Mariel brightened up at the idea of being more like Indiana Jones so she could have real adventures and rescue treasures and see the world. Of course using a whip seemed like alot of fun too and she wondered if D-Corp would teach her how to use one when she started classes there....

Donat waited as she thought over the subject of colored veggies. Hopefully he could persuade her to think he wouldn't turn green, right? Right? ...Or maybe not. The boy deadpanned a little at the witty comeback from Mariel about 'brown', and decided he had lost. "W-Well, I guess so! Or at least...Mostly eggplant and carrot. Maybe some squash...." He smiled, trying not to laugh at how smart she was.
"Well...uhm...." Donat trailed off, thinking. He wasn't quite sure if coppers could breathe fire. Thinking a little harder, he sighed. "I don't think she can....But I know some kinds do!" He nodded, giving a sheepish smile. "'Mara has talents in other areas. Like pranks. She's very good at pranks." He looked down to his companion again, smiling slightly. "Armor? What do I need-...?" He trailed off, then blinked. "Oh, like a knight? I'm not sure I'd make a good knight.."
"Really?" Donat smiled. "I'm sure you'll get better if you practice! I once climbed up the entire D-Corp building!" He waved his hands for emphasis. It was a rather tall building, and while he had trouble with his back, he has still done it. "I haven't really tried swimming. Is if fun?" He had often seen kids in the pools in the summer, but had never really thought of doing it himself. "Indiana Jones, huh?" He smirked. "Maybe 'Mara can help you find some treasure." He mentioned, knowing that the dragon had an affinity for the shiny things.

Mariel smiled, even if Mara couldn't breathe fire she was still super cool and thus was awesome. But Mariel had never heard the word "prank" before and found it interesting. "She is good at pranks? Whats a prank? is it like a superpower?!" Mariel could just see it now Mara spitting lightning, or levitating! She was intensly interested now in what a prank was and was about to hang onto every word when she heard Donat talk about how he had once scaled the entire D-Corp building! She had been there a few times before with her mommy and that building was HUGE!
"You can climb the entire building, WHOA buildings are hard to climb!." Mariel brought her hands to her face and looked at her nails on her hands which were tougher than lunas nails and a little sharper, they werent long but no matter how much she cut them they tended to grow to just past her thumbs and then stay there. She held them out for Donat "See I have to use my hands to climb, I have nails on my feet too! but those are webbed." Mariel mentioned the last bit somewhat ruefully since the webbing in between her toes made it so that she couldnt wear flip flops and so she just went barefoot most of the time. She didnt really like shoes and at the moment was wearing open toed sandals.
"Is Mara good at finding treasure?! Then she would be the best treasure hunting partner ever!" Mariel liked the idea of finding treasure with a dragon, it just sounded like something straight out of a story book. "Then mara could sleep on the treasure! Cause thats what dragons do right? all my picture books say that dragons have to sleep on piles of gold and stones and stuff." It sounded like a rather expensive bed to have for a dragon but Mariel was sure that if she found all the treasures then her dragon and of course Mara if she helped could share the bed of shiny things and be like dragons in the pictures.

Donat laughed, holding his stomach at the laughter. "No, it's not a superpower. It's...huh..." He paused, trying to think of how to explain, "It's like...sort of a trick. Like if you have this friend who offers you gum, and you go to take it out but it shocks you a little, that's a prank. It's like a mean joke." He attempted, waving his hands to emphasize. While he was sure he hadn't done the best job at explaining, he hoped he had at least helped her a little.
He grinned at her entrancement with the story, watching her bubble with excitement. "Yep! The entire building! It hurt my back a little, but I recovered." At the mention of her hands and feet, he looked at his own, holding them out to show her in return. "I don't have a thumb, so it's kind of hard to do other things, like holding a pen or opening a bottle. But I get around anyway."
At the mention of treasure and sleeping on it, Amara visibly perked up, seeming to be intrigued by the idea. With a look up to Donat with a tell-tale smirk, the boy sighed. "Oh you'd like that wouldn't you?" He frowned slightly. "Yeah, she's pretty good at finding treasure. Copper Dragons tend to enjoy shiny things, especially gold. But she gets by perfectly fine by sleeping on a bed." He explained.

Mariel thought about what a prank was and she couldnt decide if she liked it or not. It sounded mean to do but at the same time she could imagine seeing someone caught in one of those pranks and she knew it would be rather funny. She would reserve her judgment about pranks for later.
"whooooaaaa.....how'd you hurt your back? did it hurt alot?" mariel was still pretty amazed to imagine anyone climbing that whole building. It was so tall and steep. She had only ever climbed rocks and maybe a hill or two. "Was it slippery? cause I climbed a rock by a river one day and that was pretty slippery, was it like that?" mariel had to look at Donats hands to assure herself that he indeed had no thumbs, it was strange! SO NEW! "I never met anyone without thumbs before, wait you dont need thumbs to open a bottle!" mariel wondered if this was a prank and she tried to go over in her head how to open bottles but she just couldnt figure out when the thumb was used, maybe she had just done it to many times for her to notice.
Mariel looked at Mara, "So do you give her your bottlecaps? those are shiny! maybe she can collect them and we can pretend its her treasure!"
