Menelie

"Good, good," she says briskly, shaking his hand. She then holds out her hand for payment.

Veshengo nodded and reached into his pocket. Feeling around, he found some sticky couplets. He pulled them out and laughed,"Caramel...sorry about that...and please don't mind the smell of pumpkin..." He counted out the thirteen couplets into Penelope's hand. "Thank you...and...do you happen to know someone by the name of Ziva? I have to run an errand for someone."

"Your wagon'll be done in a few hours." Penelope arches a bristly eyebrow at the sticky coins before pocketing them. Money is money. "Aye, she haunts the Cider House. What's a gentleman like you want wi' her?"

Still keeping a good hold on Berit Tsura had nodded and moved to follow the cheery young girl. The child didn't exactly remind her of herself as a child but there were certain similarities that made the dark haired woman smile. " Does she send people here a lot?" Tsura asked curiously upon catching up. If so was it always for rotten apples and if so for that then what sort of thing was she making so often that needed them?

"Whenever she needs an apple for one of her potions, yes," says the girl, smiling. "We don't mind, business is business. Plus we always get more apples than we can eat or press." They arrive out back. A young man with a basket full of apples looks up at them. The girl smiles at him. "Here, Papa, she's here to speak to you. She's on an errand from Mama Paretta."

Kellen sets his basket down and walks over to Tsura. "Afternoon, miss. I'm Kellen. What can I help you with?"

"Ah, thanks, I was going to head there next anyways..." He nodded his head, "Oh...I'm doing a favor for Mama Paretta...She needed me to pick up something for her, from Ziva."

Tsura gave first a respectful nod to the girl who'd been so helpful in leading her here and not chatting her ear off in the process. She'd been horrible for it herself when younger babbling away while showing people where her mother or grandmother were. This girl had answered her question but not gone on unnecessarily.

Next she nodded in Kellen's direction and smiled softly " Ah I'm wonder if I might be able to look about for an apple that's began to rot?." The man was probbaly busy and it;d be easier for all involved if she just found one of the things herself. It wasn't like she could hurt the trees if she wandered at will looking for one.

"Take some holy water wi' ye," jokes Penelope. "She's an odd woman, that. Not sure I trust her, but she's useful enough, I suppose. Now get gone so I can work." She goes back into her workshop to get started.

"Of course, of course," says Kellen with a laid-back smile. "Pick a couple ripe ones if you like," he adds. "We can never use them all; most of them get pressed for cider anyway."

"Thank you sir"Tsura bowed as she spoke and set Berit down in the process. Keeping a ripe apple or two would be a nice treat for Ink and copper and they truly deserved them after making certain she'd made it across the river alive at the very least. With her hands free for apple picking the gypsy woman smiled at the helpful farmer again and made her way into the orchard in search of a rotten apple.

Berit followed if slowly, peering curiously at the strange surroundings and peeping softly.

With a chuckle, Veshengo nodded to Penelope, "Thanks for that advice...I'll be on my way now...Thank you." He placed his hands in his pocket and headed down the street towards the Cider House.

The day after she'd given Mama her needed apple Tsura returned to the wagon repair shop. This time though she actually sought repairs and not a trip into the orchard out back. Long black hair pulled back in a ponytail and pockets heavy with coin she strode into the shop a friendly smile on her young face.

Once again, Tsura is greeted by the polite young girl at the desk. "Good morning, 'mum. Do you need another apple?" she asks with a smile. "Or are you in need of repairs? Mother's in the shop and Papa's out back."

" Repairs this time," Tsura replied with a grin, once again she needed something here but this time she could pay.

"Alright, what is it you need? I'll write it down and tell Mother once you've paid. She should be finished with this wagon soon."

" Two new wheels," Shouldn't be too hard or take too long hopefully. "Looks like our group's misfortune is good for you folks." Tsura's voice had no malice despite her words in fact it was mostly soft and chipper. This was life and at least unlike that poor old man from before she'd not lost her entire home. Perhaps helping him had been returned in kind with good luck that prevented her from more damage to her wagon than she'd already gotten.
