Hana was instantly suspicious. No servant of Faren would so much as touch royalty without permission, even in times of crisis such as this. She secretly followed her and Akihiko. She led him into a room that she knew did not lead outside or anywhere safe. Then she heard what the girl said. "Damn," Hana muttered. She blasted the wall apart with a chi blast and ran in. "Your Highness!" she cried. She pounced on the girl, ignoring the scratches she received on her arms from the sword. They landed on the ground with Hana on top, pinning the girl's arms to the floor. "You will not lay a finger on Prince Akihiko so long as I live!"
((Sorry for the slight god-mode there. But I couldn't let her kill Akihiko.))

Yue Sashayed out from the shadows with a smirk playing on her lips and silken scarves swirling about her as she moved. Arms half crossed with a finger resting on her lips, she laughed at the scene in front of her, looking for all the world like a half mad belly dancer.
"Oh Pikki darling, how many times have I told you, surprise works so much better in this sort of situation."
Without warning and almost faster than one could keep up, the lotus woman flung a steel needle directly at Akihiko's shoulder.
(Left it open in case he dodges.)

Pirika closed her eyes. "Two hundred and thirty four times, Yue. Must I count...?" The girl's hope of possibly releasing the boy were shattered as Yue, who Pirika secretly disliked, appeared from the shadows. Under the lids, her eyes were threatening to tear up any minute. She hadn't wanted to kill anyone. Yue, however, did. That was what bothered her the most. That killing could be enjoyable. "I'm sorry, Miss Hana. You are truly loyal. I will not kill someone like that." And then she leaned foreward toward Hana's ear. "Take the prince through the window. She's not defending it." Then she sank back, the blood loss catching up with her. She gave Hana a sad look, and one tear collected up, beginning to roll. "I'm sorry..." With that, her head lulled back and she could feel her tiredness well up inside her. She knew was going to die here, in this room, with these people.
And no one would miss her.

"I say once more my friend, leave before I decide to kill you." Nalken said drawing an arrow and aiming for Bjorn's chest, one of Nalken's specialties was poison arrows and most of his quiver had poisoned arrows though he didn't ever know if the one he was aiming was poisoned or not. The arrows usually dripped the poison and that was his indicator but this one seemed like it was a normal arrow, it never really mattered much he had always hit his mark but had never needed to fire at someone like Bjorn so all he could do was wait to have to reload his bow, then hopefully grab an arrow that was poisoned. "Leave while you have red blood in your veins lest I have to turn it purple." Nalken said with a confident look in his eyes, his mouth showed a smirk as he always enjoyed shooting his bow and no one to date had taken any arrow and lived, though he felt Bjorn could take as many as were in his quiver in the state he was in. "Leave him to me sir." Nalken whispered quietly enough for King Gailor to hear and possibly Bjorn if he had good hearing. Nalken looked at the door behind Bjorn and then Bjorn himself as if giving the ok for him to leave the room and not suffer running into anyone.

"Your Highness!" Hana cried in shock. Akihiko dodged the attack partially, but was still hit in his shoulder. "Ah!" His hand went up to his shoulder and he felt warm blood. Hana ran over to the wounded Akihiko. After examining the wound and determining that he'd be okay, she glared at the newcomer. "I don't have time to mess around with you!" she yelled. She muttered a quick apology to Akihiko and grabbed his uninjured hand. Then she ran to the door. She knew for a fact that they were on the third floor and wouldn't survive a jump. Her and Akihiko ran into the corridor and turned in the direction of the nearest stairwell.

"Go to hell." Bjorn said in a deadly quiet whisper. His next words were a booming roar. "You think I'm going to let you take this castle like that?!" he shouted, taking a step forward and slashing the blade in front of him, hitting nothing but air as he was quite a distance from Nalken still. "You come in here and expect me to simply stand aside while you kill everyone?!" he added, taking another slow step forward and holding the blade defensively again, across his body. Any arrow fired could easily be deflected in this stance. "You must be an idiot." he added, stalking forward with the blade in front of him, defending almost his whole body but still allowing him to peer over the top at the man. He was getting dangerously close now, almost within range to cut Nalken clean in half. Already, if he wanted, he could strike and cut at the man, possible snap the bow in twain.

"You think the prince can make it out of here alive with you fighting me and the king?" Nalken said firing the arrow as he said his sentence, the arrow quickly spun in the air veering down on Bjorn's chest. "I'm only here to keep the king safe and distract as many soldiers as I can." Nalken said as he had already reached for another arrow just as the first came near Bjorn, Nalken didn't know if it would be deflected or hit his mark it seemed like a perfect shot but there was always a flaw even if he didn't notice it. (i wanna keep going but i dont wanna god mod so ur turn Demon)

Bjorn simply swung his sword to the side in a wide arc. The flat of the blade caught the arrow and snapped the haft neatly in two, sending both parts clattering away. Before he had a chance to nock another arrow to his bow, Bjorn was in his face, standing next to his bow. "Die, and burn in the depths of the Nine Hells for what you have done." he said, drawing his stiletto with his free hand. It was little more than a cross made from pure steel, with a triangular blade that was made solely for stabbing, not slashing. He readied himself to plunge it straight into the man's ribs.

Yue let out a delighted squeal.
"Oh yes! Run little prince! Run and jump and skip!" The once healer cackled madly and chased after them. Granted, even if she caught the damnable prince she couldn't do more than debilitate him, but she could still bring him in to the king.

"I'm quit adept at fighting close quarters my friend." Nalken said drawing his dagger and slashing across Bjorn's face before Bjorn could un-sheath his own sword. "I say again go away, be gone and return only if you swear loyalty to are new king or you bring someone of the royal family still alive. I serve the royal family and right now only King Gailor is the royal family." Nalken said stepping back and getting ready for the ensuing close quarters fight that would take place unless Bjorn would realize he was wasting time fighting Nalken when the prince could be in mortal danger or dead.

A large explosion robbed Kai away from his sleep. Lifting his head, he wearily scanned the room. He was in a small room, a wall full of books lined one side of the room. The other was occupied by a single window. He was seated upon a rough oaken desk, with a matching chair. Kai immediately recognized it as his study, within the castle of Faren. Sounds of clashing metal and hoarse shouts filled the room, seemingly streaming in from the open window. “What is that noise?” Kai groaned. With a exasperated sigh, Kai pushed himself out of his desk, and lounged slowly towards the open window. As he approached, the sounds grew louder and louder and Kai quickened his pace in response. Once at the window, Kai poked his head out the window and took in the sight. A desolate plain stretched for as far as the eye can see. Scorched ground and rubble lay where once the plains were green. A swarm of people in red armor marched in front of the main gates to the castle, steadily streaming in. A few patches of Blue were seen nearer to the castle, but they were being overwhelmed by the superior waves of red. Squinting his eyes, Kai inspected the army from the safety of the window. The emblem of Gailor was broadly displayed on a far off blood-red banner. “So, it is the country of Gailor....” Kai stated, mostly to himself. Turning away from the window, Kai started to shuffle about his dwelling, collecting various texts and scrolls and stuffing them into a the many puches within his robe. One would expect him to be in a state of shock, scrambling to collect all his valuables to flee the castle. But Kai carried on his face a wry smile and moved with such composure that it does not befit one whom was to flee from an invading army. “It looks like Fate has finally decided to find Prince Akihiko,” Kai said while he moved about slipping items into his pockets. “It is time now for the dear Prince to realize the destiny that was bestowed upon him.” The last item he took was a mysterious fan, made of dark wood and inscribed with many characters of a foreign dialect. Stopping for moments to admire the fan, he than snapped it open. When drawn, the fan showed even more mysterious characters. It was semi-circle in shape with the center to the edge being near 1.5 feet. Turning his attention to the door, he whipped the fan in a downward motion. A strong gust of wind materialized, delivering its velocity to the door. The wooden door immediately snapped off its hinges, falling a few feet down the hallway. Kai stepped through the new opening and peered down both sides of the corridor. Seeing not a single soul, he stepped out and started to walk towards the Throne Room.

[First posts are ALWAYS long if you're a competent writer. To me, long intro + shorter, well written posts = literacy, not massive intro + massive posts, because that usually means too much character controlling or redundancy.] ----- Bjorn swung his head back as the dagger came around. It barely cut his beard as it flew past. "Why would I swear loyalty to a murderer? If you wish for war, go to war. Coups are for cowards that can't trust their own soldiers to fight a prolonged battle." he said. "And I already swear loyalty to the royal family...you're in Faren. I swear loyalty to the royal family of Faren." he said, stabbing the stiletto forward, aiming for the man's bow.

((*Bored grumble* No offense, guys, but could we wrap it up? I'm getting kinda bored, since my character is kind of unconscious from lack of blood and unable to do anything. Could we skip to the present soonish? Please?))
