Noels still here

The CYOA was fun... but it lasted way to long. Things quick paced are always fun.

The obstical course were we rolled was my favorite. I also loved the word hunt and the dress up.

I think it would be fun if we had a challenge with dodging seagulls or something = ] Like the mini challenge

Lucifer is still here.

I like the more fast paced challenges, like the obstacle course and the cliff diving.

I'd rather not things that require real life interaction. Some of us have no access to a scanner or a camera, so it really wouldn't be fair.

Hele is still here 100%

I agree with others, fast paced things are a lot better, because they keep it going more. And my favorite so far has been the obstacle course, and the current challenge, because I like the chance to play Helen, but I'm always too shy to ask people for roleplays, so I have fun with those.

And a separate thread for plotting would be nice, because asking for RP in the main thread usually gets ignored pretty fast.

Vert, reporting for duty!

As far as challenges go, I like the ones that require a little bit of work, the most recent one and the wordsearch of dooooooom. The dress up was fun too. The obstacle course, even though I wasn't here to participate in it. Actually, they're all really fun, just when they drag on for too long I lose interest. I have a short attention span. :<

ozzie's still in!

i tend to like the doing-things challenges the most (like the word search and the doll dress-up), though the obstacle course was also one of my favorites. i also agree that fast-paced challenges are better overall.

i do like the idea of real life challenges, but with an alternate option if you don't have access to do it. like a photo scavenger hunt, but with an option to find photos online if you don't have access to a camera.

I'm still on board. surprised I agree with Amon and Chobi on the types of challenges I feel were most effective.

The wordsearch and the dressup were both very fun, so tossing in things that require just a little bit of creativity / extra thought would be a good idea. ^^

Kelly is still up for camp life. She's nothing if not competitive. xp

Fast-paced challenges are better for me too. Anything that takes too too long can sometimes get interfered with by RL. And the RL challenges like taking photos doesn't work well for me unfortunately. My scanner is buried and my camera sucks. Also no car to get around in to find stuff unless Caneton is home and he works all day.

Bobby is still kicking and he'd love to see this through to the end!

I'm back to working 60 hour weeks again, and every weekend for the last month has been full up, so I usually get 5-10 minutes online at night...

Fast paced challenges are fun. Things where I can RP some are good too. Things that involve interaction with people around you bring us closer as RP'ers and campers.

Challenges that take hours to prepare, like writing this story, are really hard to do.

Also, part of the challenge is all of the planning and RP'ing that happens over AIM. The rest of us who can't do that have no idea where the boundaries are. We think we're safe and then are told we're not, while other people push the limit and are okay to get away with it. That makes it hard sometimes.

Lirina and I are still in! whee I think she would methodically kill off the rest of the OCs in my brain if I quit.

I've been reviewing my opinions on camp to make some helpful crits, but really, I've liked all of it. D: The variety of the challenges was really interesting and fun! I thought it was above the call of duty, even, so I would not be disappointed if some methods were recycled in the future. In particular, I enjoyed the obstacle course, CYOA, and the wordsearch. Things that fuse roleplay with actions and some stuff that doesn't depend entirely on the luck of the dice. Perhaps there could be a team vs. team challenge in the future, where we work together? (This has probably been considered in the past, though, and I can see where it would be hard to orchestrate. x Dx)

An OOC thread has my full support. To add onto what to what Caneton cited, players could form playdates and Chris could even have a say -- maybe something is crossing the line or would require his cooperation. If it's private plotting, people could still PM each other of course, but I see this as a quick bulletin board of open rp searches.

You can -at any time- PM myself or Maru via our camp mules and ask. AIM People don't 'push the limit'. They ask ahead of time if it's okay. And they are constantly told things aren't okay as well.

I'm not going to lay out everything for -anyone- at all because half the idea of this camp is to explore and test boundaries. There's ten tons of hidden things in camp that are ripe for the taking, no matter how often you interact with me or any other camper.

And actually, the only thing I recall telling people in general to back off on are things like
A: Picking up/making up items they wouldn't/shouldn't be able to get.
and
B: Knowing information they shouldn't know. OOC =/= IC

If you've been told no on something else then I'm..sorry? *shrugs* It's a -really- open environment, you just need to work with it ^^;

Added to Demy's note of PMing, there's also a place where you can ask questions that has only been used once. :V

Take Scara for instance. She asked if Ratchet could go in and fix up Chef's kitchen -- I agreed, and we coordinated in PMs what exactly is there, what she could touch, what was off limits, etc etc.

Trin's character Annabel is an excellent example of exploration -- she went out and explored and tested sections of the guild, which resulted in her character finding Chris' wavemachine and RV. ANY camper can do this -- you just need to explore the possibilities and try things out. But like Demy said, most of what we're clamping down on is campers getting items they wouldn't be able to get (such as any of Chef's knives), or knowing things they shouldn't know (such as where Chris' RV is. Only Annabel and Ratchet as well as Wawanakwa staff know of its location).

Also, it's time to sound like a broken record but there are still a LOT of you and only two of us. Campers slipping under the radar is unavoidable, and I apologize for that. Next season, we WILL be making changes to try and prevent that from happening.

Other then that, as far as challenges go... The ones that drag out are usually the ones that go over the weekend since not many people seem to be around then. I'll try to run challenges more during the week to prevent this.

An RP-search board will come up in a bit -- might just tweak the OOC =/= IC knowledge thread into being an RP search area.
