Kova looked at the male before grinning at her and nodding. "I'm sure she wouldn't mind meeting you!" He giggled a bit before turning toward home. "She loves to meet anyone who is interested in music!" She giggled a little more before nudging his new friend. "Keep up!" He giggled as he started to run toward the last place that he saw his mother at.
"Mama! Mama! I have some one for you to meet!" He wiggled around slightly as he nudged against his mother's legs before backing up and looking at his friend. "This is Zana! she also likes music and she wants to see a drum.
"Hello Zana!" she said in a friendly manner before nodding toward her. "You want to see my drum?" She leaned over and gave it a soft nudge before smiling at them. "This is a drum."

Zana's eyes widened in wonder and awe as she gazed up at the tawny lioness. She was so pretty! Almost as pretty as momma! Glancing up at her for permission, Zana crept closer to the drum her eyes huge. It didn't look like much, a piece of hide stretched over some wood, but Kova said it was musical.
"How does it work? Can you make them bigger? Or do they all come in this size? Can I try it? I promise I won't damage it!" Her words seemed to rush together in her excitement, barely able to contain herself as she danced from foot to foot, eagerly wait for the lioness's reply.

Mawi Mai grinned at the interest of the little cub, she was happy to see some one excited to see a drum, she knew that not many lions had seen a drum in their life she placed in on the ground and pushed it toward her flicking her tail around a bit as she did. "Of course you can give it a try." She placed her own paws on it and started to beat on it gently showing her how to do it. "Just like this." She chuckled as she talked before she moved her paws and grinned at her. "You can't Make them bigger but you can get get a bigger one when you're making it, you just pick a bigger gourd." She nodded with a smile on her face. "You pick out a gourd you like then you stretch a skin over it." She smiled and licked her son'forhead as he sat inbetween her paws.

Zana's ears perked as she listened to the mini-lesson with rapt attention. Now she knew how to make a drum!! When Mawi get her permission to actually play the instrument...well the little white cub was nearly beside herself with excitement. She gave the taunt hide a cautious tap, not wanting to damage it. The resulting sound made her lavender eyes go wide.
Glancing up for permission again, Zana sat back on her haunches and began to beat out a steady rhythm, the first sound she had heard, the slow steady beat of a mother's heart. Closing her eyes, she lost herself in this new type of music humming faintly, tail tapping from side to side.
When she finally opened her eyes again, Zana blushed startled nosing the drum back to it's rightful owner. "Thank you Ma'am! I enjoyed that very much! I should be going though before my own mama gets worried about me." She smiled at Kova "Thank you for spending the day with me! I had fun!"
