"Might as well act like you're shopping for you dad. Marlo's pretty behind the times when it comes to looking cool." Elzo ran his hand through his hair, careful to avoid stepping into his brother's kicking range. Marlo however, seemed to be ignoring his brother, which was a bit difficult. Turning back to face Eve once he realized his brother was going to tease from afar, Marlo decided to continue on avoiding Elzo's jabs "Well..." A quick glare to Elzo, who had begun to whistle. "I'd like to avoid caption shirts if possible. At least most of them. They tend to er on the side of sexual or sexist. And I'd rather not look like some backwater boy with no class." Elzo chucked, earning him yet another glare for the day.

Stopping his stride in front of the larger 'high-end' clothing store, (Hello Abercrombie and Finch), Marlo paused, not that impressed with the large wall hanging of the half nude male before him. Elzo also paused, and together the brother staired at the male model.

It was Elzo who spoke first. "For a mainly guy store, this place screams homo." "...I'm not sure if I want to shop here anymore." Turning to Eve, the brothers asked in union. "What do you think?"

"I'm not good with guy fashion trends." Eve confessed. "It's so much harder, and it doesn't really concern me, so." She shrugged her shoulders lightly. It wasn't as if she had to do clothing shopping for guys; there was no brother for her to nitpick on, so Eve hardly cared about what was fashionable for the other gender. As long as it looked good, she was fine and dandy! "I mean, girls have a lot more variety with clothing types. Whatever you guys wear, we could probably wear as well. Whatever we wear...uh. It wouldn't exactly fit guys, y'know?"

The girl simply blinked, seemingly unfazed by the huge display of half naked men as compared to the reactions of the brothers. "It seems strange shopping for a shirt in a place which has posters with men who don't wear them at all, don't you think?"

Both brothers nodded in agreement at Eve's statement. It was a bit silly. "Well...what about there?" Elzo pointed down the mall's hall to a nearby GAP store. Not to pricey, and, it would have collared shirts. Marlo could dig that. "For once, you might have made an optimal suggestion Elli." Elzo frowned at the nickname before dragging his sibling into a noogie with a grin. "Aw, Don't worry Marlo. You big bro's just looking out for ya." Marlo flailed about for the few seconds he was shown his brother's affections before being released. Now his hair was a mess and he was sure his ponytail had come undone.

"Sorry Miss...He just gets overly excited. Kind of like a stray puppy." As he made the comparison, Elzo's focus had changed to the food court. Typical. "See what I mean?"

Eve merely watched the exchange(Was that the right word? It was a one-sided thing, really) of affections with a grin upon her face. Really, having siblings seem to be a fun concept she herself would never grasp, for Eve highly disapproved of her mother getting pregnant again at her age. Having a younger sibling 17 years younger than she was? No, thank you! The best way to fill the void of loneliness she sometimes got was to have friends. And these two? Were definitely interesting enough to make her smile.

"Puppies are cute." She giggled. "But well, they need to be fed too, right? I'm assuming you want a snack or something?"

Marlo smiled as she suggested a snack. But, he really did want a new shirt, (I mean, Elzo's sweater smelt of that AXE body spray stuff. And Marlo was kind of beginning to feel a bit light headed). "Well...honestly, a snack sounds good, but I'd rather like to get a new shirt. You can go with Elzo if you like but..." He took a step towards the shop. "I will busy myself in trying to find a new outfit. In any case, Elzo would be back shortly. He'll get wat he wants then come running back. My guess is that he's trying to avoid the actual shopping part."

And Marlo couldn't have been more right. Elzo had picked the longest line in the food court. Not to mention the one with the nastiest, greasiest food. He wasn't keen of returning back to shopping sibling anytime soon. At least until he got his deep fried fat sugar stick, (aka a churro).

"Nah, I'm not hungry." Eve shook her head, blond curls following with the motion. "I don't understand how you guys can eat so much, however. I've heard that boys can eat twice as much as we do for meals. Or am I over-exaggerating? I wouldn't really know, honestly; since I don't go to a co-ed school." This little tidbit of information had been received from a pen pal of hers complaining about boys in her school piling their plates with a heap of food every time lunch came around. Eve on the other hand, found the image rather hilarious.

"So," She began, smiling at Marlo. "What else do you like to do besides shopping?"

"I think we eat an average amount? Some guys like to pile it on but, I think I'm good?" Marlo was unsure of how to answer the question. Did he eat too much? he didn't know. Mostly he ate until he was full. "I guess it depends." feeling a bit awkward, he moved to the polo shirts. Mostly, they were in shaded of brown or red. Stupid fall colors. "I enjoy a few things...Cooking...riding. And music. " He smiled, thinking of his beloved lyre. "I enjoy music very much." Pulling out a burgundy polo he held it to his frame. "Is it too much?"

Outside of the store, Elzo munched on the churro. It had taken shorter then expected. he just lingered at the entrance, watching. Like hell he was going to join them shopping.

"I wouldn't know." Eve said cheerfully. "I don't stare at boys eating when I'm out. Though from what I hear, the other girls back at Crystal would be disgusted with those kind of eating habits." Then again, they pretty much treated whatever the male species with disdain, didn't they..? She had heard some girls talking about those Hillworth boys especially, and the ones that had apparently sneaked into the school grounds. There had been a lot of bitching about that. "No offense, of course!" She added, as an afterthought.

"I like cooking with my mom." Her eyes lit up at the common interest they shared. "Baking, especially. Though I'm terrible while waiting for it to be done; I'm really, really impatient."

"Mmmnnn," She murmured, tilting her head to the side to scrutinize his pick. "Go try it on! It makes it so much better to pick when you see how it looks on you." At least, that was how she did her shopping picks.

Moving to try it on, Marlo left Eve alone, letting Elzo free to approach. "Sooooo...you like my brother?" He munched on the last piece of his churro. "I menf, like, you fink h's good lookim?" He said, mouth full. ;eaving on the rach he swallowed and brushed away the crumbs. "I think he's not assertive enough when he hangs out with girls. Prolly why he's never had a girl friend."

Coming out from the stall, Marlo inspected himself. But, he still asked "How do I look? It's a bit snug." Elzo shrugged, didn't matter to him, he wasn't wearing it.

"He's a nice guy." Eve replied, grimacing slightly at the crumbs that fell on the floor which earned a gaze of disapproval from a nearby shop assistant. "Maybe you should encourage him to open up, talk more? We girls aren't all that scary, to be honest." Well, at least the girls she knew weren't that scary? Then again, Eve thought everyone she met was fine and dandy. "Girls look for someone dependable, nice and gentlemanly. At least that's what girls at my school would be impressed with. Especially we've been told to 'stay away from those nasty Hillworth boys'. I've never met them, so I don't know if they're as crude as they make them out to be."

"Looks fine." The girl said cheerfully, giving Marlo a thumbs up.

"....Alright." Marlo gave himself one more pass by the mirror before he went back into the stalls. Elzo gave Eve a disgruntled look. "I meant, do you think he's you know, attractive." He emphasized the word with finger quotes. "Oh, and really, Hillworth guys aren't that bad, I mean-" "We're from Hillworth." Marlo said deadpan from behind Elzo, making him jump. "Don't DO that!" Moving to the checkout, Elzo frowned. "Uh...I mean, yeah, we're for Hillworth but, not everybody is a crazy stalker or pyro! And most of those guys are on meds!" Oops. Sometime it was best not to mention those facts.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 10, 2009 6:15 pm

"What?" Eve asked, eyes widening as realization dawned on her. "Oh, oh! You mean...He's alright, I guess?" She ventured with an easy shrug of her shoulders. Eyes darted from one boy to another as they mentioned that they were from Hillworth, for once, at a loss for words. Oh dear, the teachers were going to kill her, weren't they? But they seemed okay, right? They didn't seem as bad as the types the teachers kept on preaching about, the ones they were warned them to stay away from. "Oh, I'm sorry, it's just that, y'know! Crystal doesn't have a very high opinion of Hillworth."

"I'm sorry." She added again. "You guys seem pretty nice. I've never known another Hillworth guys before, so...all I know of them are the rumors." But you had to be sent there for a reason, right? At least that was the logic that the teachers had attempted to infuse into their brains.

"Eh, most Hillworth guys don't like crystal much. Some girls there are like, CRAZY. Femnazis. It's freaky. I mean, most are normal and stuff but then you get the crazies. But, I guess that's like alot of schools." Walking back to Elzo and Eve, Marlo ripped the tags off the shirt. "Most guys at Hillworth are problem guys, but, mainly they try to be normal. I don't think we've met any crazy guys. A few...unique ones but harmless." Taking off Elzo's jacket and handing it back, Marlo put on his new polo. "Ew, it smells like you now!"
Elzo joked as Marlo smiled. "I smell better then you, so, it's an improvement." He looked at Eve. "That reminds me, we haven't helped you shop yet." Elzo frowned, he really hoped that Marlo and Eve would forget.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 10, 2009 6:50 pm

"Crazy?" Eve repeated with a slight frown forming on her lips. "They aren't crazy. Just y'know, overprotective. Everyone there seems pretty decent to me." And if they were crazy, they would have to be sent to a loony bin, right? At least they weren't as crazy as those boys sent to Hillworth? Eve hadn't failed to dismiss the fact that Elzo let slip about that most of them were taking medicine.

Blue eyes darted towards Elzo as she stifled a laugh. "I don't think your brother would enjoy me dragging you guys around the mall. Besides, I just need to get a bracelet then," She glanced at her watch briefly, "head back to Crystal."

"Uh, let's just say we've had a bad run in with some snobs from Crystal and well...sorry." Elzo rubbed the back of his head. Then again, they had kinda broken into Crystal. Kinda. Marlo smiled a bit, "Miss Eve, if that is the case, and we must part ways, I have to thank you." he offered her a handshake. "It was a pleasure sharing your company. But are you sure we must part?" Elzo joked behind his brother. "Alas, parting is such sweet sorrow."
