Pouting a moment at the fact that he thought a house was worth more than him, she sighed softly, wrapping her arms around him and smiling up at the boy, her head tilted back in case, perhaps, he wanted to kiss her. "For the chance to stay with you, of course."

The boy smiled a bit at that, looking down at her. "I love you, Lee. I just donnae want t' take you from this life if you ain't really wantin' t' leave it. I'll ne'er be able t' gi' you a life like this." He looked at the swimsuit she was holding. "I think burlesque girls wear more'n tha', Lee."

"I dun really mind. I've been doing fine without any of this so far." She smiled up at him gently until he made the comment about her swimsuit. "Eh? This isn't that bad. I mean, it's not a thong or anything... I thought you'd like it." She frowned, looking it over until she realized Rory probably wasn't too familiar with bikinis. "It's better than swimming naked..."

Rory looked at her, laughing a little. "Th' few times I gone swimmin', which was more just standin' in deep water, I wis naked. I donnae hae a swimsuit. Didn't e'en know people dressed up t' go play in water."

Lee covered her mouth and giggled at how shameless he was. "Well you're gonna have to wear one when we go swimming, kay? You can just borrow one of my dad's I guess." Grabbing his hand, she tugged his arm a bit. "Before we eat, I want you to try the bed. I forgot how comfortable it is." She dragged him over, flopping onto the mountain of pillows and blankets, engulfed in the oversized bed. Her intentions were completely innocent, not expecting anything more than laying and cuddling, though even that might have been pushing it. She just wanted Rory to relax a bit more.

Rory gave the bed a dubious look, then sighed and laid down with her. "You'll ne'er want t' sleep in a vardo bed again." He grinned at her, pulling her over to snuggle. "What're your parents gonna do wi' all this stuff?"

"Mmm, I will if you're in it." She rolled onto her back, looking around the room and seeing what he was referring to. "I dunno. Throw a lot of it away, I guess. Everything but what they need for a guest bedroom." A lot of it was just decoration anyway, nothing she'd miss too much. She was a bit sad to see her clothes go to waste though. If she had room at the vardo, she'd pack all of it up and keep it.

Blinking and sitting up, Lee scanned the room, a small smile forming on her lips. There were more than a few things that were worth quite a bundle, and while she didn't plan to get anything close to what it had cost her -- or, more accurately, her parents -- the extra money couldn't hurt. "I could put Lauss to work... I'd prolly need your help setting it up, though." She smiled apologetically, but hoped he wouldn't mind.

"I'll help," Rory said, sitting up as well, his eyes finding a painting across the room. He got up and went over to it, examining it. "This is really pretty, Lee. Is it one o' yours?"

Freezing up, Lee's eyes widened, her jaw dropping a bit. Crap. She'd wanted to keep him from seeing anything of hers to save her the humiliation and him the disappointment. Flopping on her belly again and hiding under the blanket, she mumbled a quick, "No," though she was clearly lying.

Whining from under the blanket, she sat up and came out of hiding, pouting down into her lap. "You're just being nice... But, thank you." Standing and shuffling over to Rory's side, she pulled him away from the painting, not wanting him to see any more of it, in all its mediocre glory. "We should see if dinner's ready, right?"
