Pocket Lint had a light smile, watching Ranulf. The mare listened to him carefully, wondering what the issue was then. Her ear twitched, hearing him tap the melon with his hoof. "L-let me do it." She said soft tone, moving closer to Ranulf to nudge him away with her nose so that she could break open the watermelon. "T-this is m-me-messy, but it's fun to break." She said, lining herself with the watermelon, before standing up on her hind legs, and put her front hooves together at an angle before letting her weight drop back onto her front hooves. Her hooves drove right into the melon, breaking it apart, and sending some rind and watermelon flesh flying.
She stepped off of the melon, and looked to Ranulf. "D-don't eat the rind. It's y-yucky." She said, with no nervousness with her tone, only her stutter remained. The watermelon had been split roughly in half, with smaller chunks to the side. "You want t-to get as much as the pinkish stuff."

Ranulf jumped a little as Pocket split the watermelon, surprised as it somewhat exploded from the pressure. He was in awe of Pocket, how did she know about these? He guessed she, being on her own, had to learn many more things than he did. He felt ignorant. He stepped forward and sniffed the smaller pieces. He trusted Pocket that they tasted good, but he was still curious. He licked the tiny piece before him, then taking a small bite. It was sweet and soft, juicy beyond belief. "Mmmmm!" He exclaimed. "It real yummy!" This new fruit was 100 times better than any berry he had tasted before. He moved to another small chunk to eat it, leaving the halves alone for now untill Pocket chose the one she wanted - It had been her idea after all to eat this fruit; it would be rude for him to chose first.

Pocket Lint smiled inwardly, amused by her childhood friend's behavior. She moved towards the smaller half, not feeling like consuming the whole lot of it. Plus, she wanted to possibly save space for some other food. When the mare looked down to her half of the watermelon, she noticed black seeds. Her ears perked up in alert. "a-ah, R-ranulf! B-be careful. The b-black seeds aren't very t-tasty. When you bite one, j-just s-spit out the seed." She said in a slight panic tone, feeling a bit guilty to not notice it before.
She moved to take a bite of the watermelon, and when she came upon a black seed, she would turn away from the melon and spit the seed out away from their eating area.
