"Mother! Come on!" Tafari called over his shoulder as he waited for both his mother and Ari to start following him. He was going to track down Denahi or die trying! Now which way did he go? The cub swished his black and white tuffed tail as he had seen his mother do from time to time, hoping that it would somehow help him to figure out what way to go faster.
"This way!" he suddenly announced after sniffing the air for a couple seconds, and pounced off through the woods in the direction of what he hoped was the other male's scent. Well, for now it would be easy since the cub knew which way to start. Other than that, he had almost no clue to what he was doing.

Nodding at the cryptic words, Tisha gave Ari a glance but said nothing more as she stepped ahead, eyes training on her son like always. Used to the 'hunts' they went on, she padded softly to go a few yards behind him, glancing back to the other to hope she was following as well.
"I am coming..." She said in a relaxed manor, turning back to glance towards Tafari only to see he ran right into the woods. Shaking her head, she decided she needed to teach him a thing or two about lands that were hiding places for preditors of small cubs. Quickly moving into the shadows as well, she kept her distance slightly closer, and searched not for the scent of Denahi, but for scents of anything that might harm her son.

The charcoal rogue followed Tisha and her son, her blue eyes scanning the treetops for a moment. Now that Denahi was back near trees, she wouldn't doubt he would hide in them. That was one of his favorite things to do at the old den. Her eyes narrowed, good, no spots in the above them.
"This forest has many paths that can lead you off the trails and into circles. My sisters and I found that out the hard way when we were cubs. Took nearly a day for my father to find us." Ah, but that was just a memory. The forest could only be manuevered by those who knew where to go. Quick sand traps towards the east, thorny bushes to the west, venomous snakes, scorpions lurking under every rock. Not a fun expierence.

When they neared the end of the trails, Ari had decided to lead, hoping little Tafari wouldn't be to offended. "Welcome, to the Kusini'Mwezi lands," Ari stated, as if she was some travel advertiser. Side stepping, she watched the tall trees of the forest shrink into small shrubs, and eventually fade away into green grass.
The lands were full of hills, a few trees and rivers bordering the east and west. In the distance, tall hills, almost mountain like preened over the horizon.
Denahi nested a few feet away from the exit the group came through. "You guys sure walk slow." He smirked, standing up and stretching. "I think I caught a few winks while waiting."

"Oh, but at least you had the descency of waiting." Tisha said in an overly sweet manor towards the prince, smiling and all but batting her eyes. Walking towards the lands where the trees faded, she just looked out along the rows, taking it all in for a few moments as everything else seemed to fade with the trees. It was all so...perfect in her opinion, and as she sat there, a small pure smile reached her eyes.
"Kusini'Mwezi..." She spoke in a breath, and turned back to look to the other three.

Tafari winced slightly as the darkness of the forest quickly melted away. They were going in the right direction, weren't they? The cub sniffed the air again. That was odd... From what he could make out, that other lion, Denahi, should be very close by. The only problem was that... well... where was he-? Tafari squeaked in surprise and hurried to hide behind his mother as Denahi suddenly spoke up. He had been waiting there all along? He looked up at his mother uneasily, only to be surprised again at her expression. She seemed so... happy? Almost like she was in awe. The cub frowned and looked in the direction his mother was looking. All he saw was trees, then smaller plants, and then grass..... What was so great about that? He didn't see any difference from where they were before. Maybe he wasn't looking hard enough?

((Okay, getting back into the order XD))
Feeling a figure by her paws, she looked down to see Tafari near her, and just lifted a paw to pull him close. Grinning softly at his confused expression, she looked to the sky and awaited for Ari to give the next command, they were her lands.

Denahi snorted. "I wanted to see if the little br---kid," He glared at his mother, who was glaring equally back at him, "could follow the easiest of trails." He told them, turning away, heading for the dens that layed just beyond the horizons. Those were the elder's dens, placed to protect those with scornful hearts from entering the valley. Looks like the elders were on vacation, seeing one walked their lands now.
Ari smiled lightly, quirking an eyebrow as the young lioness seemed to be in awe. "Would you like a little tour?" Her eyes sparkled, sitting for a moment. "We can meet the rest of my family, if you like, or I could show you around, or you can wander off and check out the lands, if you'd like." Ari nodded.

The cub watched silently as Danahi wandered off. Part of him wanted to follow the older male, but another part told him to stay as close to his mother as possible. Tafari frowned as he tried to figure out why he even wanted to go after Denahi. Whatever... Something was bound to turn out.
"Mother?" he finally spoke up, looking up at her, deciding it was indeed best to stay close to her, "What do you want to do?" he asked as he peered up through his someday-will-be white mane.

Glancing to her son, Tisha smiled ever so softly before thinking over Ari's words. It would always be nice to meet her family, though Tisha was more than a little nervous with the first encounter she had. Than there was the idea of exploring the lands, though Tisha also felt it was getting quite late for that, and who knew if Tafari would be able to keep up for longer. Sure he was older, but she was his mother and had quite a bit to worry about.
"Why don't we see your family..." She said softly, knowing they could easily rest as well when they got there.

"Perfect!" She smiled before looking down towards the small cub. She forgot youngsters needed their rest. Usually her cubs would romp around throughout the night, so that was sort of another saying when it pertained to her children. "Tomorrow, I think owuld be a perfect tiem to meet them. Maybe you can acquainted with the land's dens, near the Dya'comi." Dya'comi was the Kusini'Mwezi calmest river. A few rock dens layed near, which housed mainly the yayas and high elders.
"You both look exhausted, and could use your rest." She said in a motherly tone.

Tafari glanced from one lioness to the other and back before shaking his head. "We don't need to rest, do we, Mother?" he asked, trying to hide a yawn that suddenly decided to come out. Okay, he was a little tired... But nothing that would stop him from hopefully finding out what his mother seemed to be so excited about. He swished his tail a bit, hoping that the two would stop talking so he could find something else fun to do. Sure he loved being with his mother and hunting, but right now, all she was doing was talking. That was boring... He didn't see why they needed to talk so much anyway... Crazy women...

Looking to him, she mearly smiled to herself before nodding once, "If we are to see all of the lands tomorrow, we will need our energy, and besides, we have been traveling all day. A little rest could do us some good." Speaking it softly, she turned her eyes towards Ari as she felt her eyes look past her and into the distance.
"Of course, that would be the best area to see first and remember, so we can tell where the lands are compaired to the den." Nudging Tafari towards the elder lioness, Tisha added in an afterthought, "Tafari, Ari wont bite you know." It came out in a light giggle as she felt suddenly the weight of holding her son too close these past few weeks. Maybe being on pridelands would help him get off on his own paws.

Ari laughed quietly. "Yes, I assure you little Tafari, I do not bite." At least, not to others other than Asi, but Tisha and her son didn't need to know that now, did they? She grinned, glancing from the son to the mother. "Follow me, if you would." She told them, heading towards the dens near the calm river, Dya'Comi.

Tarafi frowned. Were they teasing him? He stepped a bit away from his mother, "I know that!" he insisted, staring at the ground beside him. Why would she bite? He wasn't scared of her! Even though... He didn't really know her. He glanced up at the older lioness, then sidestepped back, closer to his mother. He was just going to keep her company. That was all, yeah, of course!
