There was just something in the back of Tatsuko's mind that wouldn't go away. The fact that Mr. Yuuki knew so much about the legends bothered her, and she couldn't place her finger on why. She almost wondered if some of the stories were about her. If that was the case, then she had already done it all. She was the Priestess, because she had already become the Priestess. It was an odd thought, thinking about it in such a sense made things both easier and harder. If she was the Priestess of Legend, then she had already done everything that was written. But, some of the things, atleast in the legends that she knew, were horrible. That meant she would be the one doing them. Would she be able to stop them? She didn't know. "Where I am from, the story of the Priestesses are legends, folk stories and fairie tales. They happened so long ago that nobody thinks of them as real. If I am the Priestess, and I am fated to be the Priestess, then in my time I've already done everything. Though, to be honest, the stories I remember didn't have Suboshi as the son of a Lord. Though, Nakago was a blonde general in Kutou's army." She chuckled softly. "Maybe I'm thinking of the other Priestess of Seiryuu and her group." She honestly hoped that was the case. Tatsuko would hate to have to do some of the things the Priestess of Seiryuu was slated to do.

She sighed, shaking her head. "If I am fated to be the Priestess of Seiryuu, then I can't change fate. I must be the Priestess then, and I have to acccept that. Though, I'm beginning to wonder if my father was in on the joke. It would certainly explain a few things." She always wondered why her father had named her the way he did. If it was because he knew she was going to be the Priestess of Seiryuu, then it made a whole hell of a lot of sense. She had never met another person named "Dragon Child" before, afterall.

Jin nodded a bit, "you are speaking of the ones that came before. The blond General Nakago went to the world of the Priestesses, and there he was slain by Tamahome of the Suzaku Seven... or so says the stories. You are a new Priestess, and we are new warriors. I know a bit about those that came before, I can tell you what I know."

He started the horse again, on route to the manor, but he knew he'd have to keep her away from his father... but that would be simple, since he rarely came anywhere near Jin, and the servants loved him, so they wouldn't tell.

"He came to our world?" Tatsuko didn't even know that was possible, though given that she still thought this was all an elaborate dream, she supposed anything was possible. "Interesting." She didn't know that the people from the book could come to their world as real flesh and blood people. If it wasn't a dream, it would be interesting to try. At the thought of hearing more, she nodded. "If you could tell me, that would be wonderful." The nagging thought flared back up. If she didn't find out, it was going to bother her for quite a long time. "Do you happen to know what the names of the other Priestesses were?" Call it a hunch, but maybe there was something there.

As they headed towards the manor, Tatsuko started to look around. Things were not as she had imagined in the stories. Then, she didn't have that great of an imagination. In either case, perhaps it was better that she stayed on the horse with Suboshi rather than going wandering around by herself. She had already been caught once. The last thing she needed was to be caught again, and have the men succeed.

Jin raised an eyebrow, "the other Priestesses? The Seiryuu priestess was Priestess Yui, and the Suzaku Priestess was Miaka... I don't know about Genbu or Byakko, since I've never traveled there. I have been to Konan though." He turned the corner and they came up to a large, walled house, with guards outside.

"Master Jin, your mother has been looking for you... something about your father being summoned to the palace. She wanted me to let you know, that they will both be gone tonight. Who is the young lady?"

"The priestess of Seiryuu... and send word to Bei Ling that I need her to make up a room." The man nodded and opened the gate for them. "Tatsuko, I'll have some food brought in, and I'll try to answer all your questions." The house was very large, with manicured grounds.

Miaka and Yui... The names were definately from Japan, that much was certain. Though, while she knew Yui was a rather common name, Miaka was a little less common. "Do you happen to know Lady Miaka's last name?" There was one woman she knew of that had the first name of Miaka, as that was Hikari's mother and Mr. Yuuki's sister. She hadn't talked to her much, but she seemed pretty nice to Tatsuko. If it was who she thought it was, that would explain quite a few things.

She looked at the man who Suboshi was talking to, pausing when he was called Jin and not Suboshi. "Your name is Jin?" Really, it shouldn't surprise her that Suboshi was only a nickname, though it was a bit odd. Then again, given everything else she had dealt with thus far, it was something relatively minor. Glancing about, she was in awe of the grounds. It was so beautiful. She had seen gardens like this only in pictures. It was marvelous to see them in reality, or as real as she was certain her imagination would allow.

Suboshi shook his head, "I don't know, I only know that the romance between Priestess Miaka and her warrior, Tamahome, was epic. There are songs about them, all through Konan, about how amazing their love was." He made it to the stable and slid down from the horse, reaching up to help her down.

Once the priestess was off the horse, he put his hand on her back to make sure she was steady, and he started to take her to the steps. "Are you alright, do you need more help then this?"

That wasn't much help, to be honest. She was hoping that Suboshi knew the priestesses last name, since that would confirm it for her, but she supposed that it wasn't going to be that easy. Hearing about the love between Miaka and Tamahome made her smile though. That did sound quite a bit like Hikari's mom, but would that mean that Tamahome was Hikari's dad? "That's sweet. I'm sure they would be glad to know that." With Suboshi's help, she slid off the horse, standing next to him.

She was still a little wobbly, but she was doing better than before. She gave him a nod, before heading out. "I should be alright. Thank you though." If nothing else, she was fairly certain she had her iron pills in her bag. Tatsuko would take one of those once she got wherever it was he was taking her. She kept the shirt pulled around her, as she wasn't in the mood for random people seeing her undergarments. "Do you know what they looked like?" she asked, still thinking on the previous Priestesses. Maybe, if she saw a picture of them, she could figure out just who they were.

Suboshi bit his lip a bit, "I saw a painting once, but I'm not sure if it would be accurate. It is displayed in Konan, and it's very small." He moved his hands to show it was probably the size of a photograph. "There is blood on it, and it's said that one of the Emperor, Saiheitei, died with it on his person. It's a relic, and only during the Star Festival can you get in to view it, and I'm sure you know, the line is long... even for a Kutou noble. It shows 7 men, the Suzaku Warriors, and their priestess in the middle. She's doing this..." He moved his hand to make a "v". "Next to her, is the Emperor, and on the other is a man with shaggy dark brown hair, olive skin, a typical peasant, obviously tanned from working the fields. From the story, he is Tamahome. The girl was wearing a brown robe, that was very short, and her hair was in two buns, on the sides of her head. She looked a bit... silly, but you could tell, she was a very strong woman."

Well, that definitely sounded like someone from her home, that was certain. And the description didn't change things either. It did sound like Hikari's mom, but unless she saw the picture, she couldn't confirm it. Not that it would be much condolence if it was, just that she would know that this had happened before. "If it is who I think it is, she is a very silly person, but she's really nice too." Tatsuko sighed, softly, as she walked where Suboshi directed her. "Ummm... is there a place I could change anywhere? While I appreciate you giving me your shirt, it's a little awkward to keep it around me like this."

Yuan arrived in the capitol with her supply of goods. She need more money that what she was getting in Seiryuu village so she brought her wears to the capitol to sell in the market. It was getting late and need to get to an inn. She knew a friend of hers lived around here somewhere but knew not where his home was.

Yuan found the inn she normally stayed at when she visited the capitol. She dis mounded and gabbed the bags of food and her bag with her clothes.

"Ah Miss Yuan, welcome back." the inn keeper greeted and handed her the key to her usual room.

Yuan nodded and gave the man a smile. She walked up the stairs to her room, unlocked the door, walked in and set her bags down. She then turned around and walked out locking the door behind her. She walked down the stairs and nodded to the inn keeper .

"Be back later" she said as she walked out the door.

She grabbed her violin and sword off her horse and attached the sword to her belt and strapped the violin over her shoulder. She went for a walk and decided to check out the city at night.

Jin blinked, and his cheeks grew a bit dark. "Oh yes, of course, I'm sorry Tatsuko," they walked into the main doors, and several attendents were already inside waiting for them. "Chou, please see to the Priestess. She needs the finest garments that we can get, and please send her clothes to a seamstress for fixing." And older lady bowed and came to the girl, bowing lower. "It is my privilege to serve you Priestess. I will be your handmaid while you are in this house. Please follow me." Chou turned to Jin and bowed again before leading Tatsuko down the hall to the right.

And older man, the major domo for their home, came up, "The honorable lady of the house wishes to speak with you, young Master."

Suboshi nodded, "tell Chou that when Tatsuko is finished, I will come and attend to her. She is my priestess, I must see to her comfort."

"But young Master, you should not lower yourself, she is still a commoner and the priestess to the people of Seiryuu."

Jin frowned, making the older man shrink back a bit, "There is nothing common about her. Hold your tongue or I'll have you removed. I know she belongs to everyone, but my brother gave his life so that I could protect this girl... and this is what I plan to do, even with my life if necessary. Just go tell Chou that I'll be there soon. I shouldn't keep Mother waiting." He started down the hall in the opposite direction as Tatsuko, the major domo bowing as he left. "Young Master, don't you think you should put a shirt on first?"

Giving him a small smile, she nodded. "It's alright. Thank you." Tatsuko wasn't expecting all of this, being sent with her own attendant. She bowed to the woman, politely. This was still all very strange for her. "Thank you for your help," she said to Chou, before starting to follow her. She turned her head back to look at Jin as she walked. He really was a nice guy, and she liked him quite a lot. He saved her, and he was treating her sweetly. She hoped that whatever it was, it wasn't too bad. She turned back to Chou with a giggle. "You really don't need to get me new clothes. I have another set in my bag. My shirt is just a little ripped up." The thought of the incident made her shudder. She really was lucky. Had Jin not come when he did, she would likely be in much worse shape.

Chou smiled softly, in a motherly sort of way. "When the Young Master wishes it, then I should obey. He's kind, but wasn't really always like that. He used to be spoiled and selfish, but when his mark appeared, on that ill fated day, well he's changed. We have several sets of clothes, that are modest and befitting a priestess, so please... so not worry. If you are dressed differently, there also won't be much of a reason for people to rip up your clothes." The old woman seemed to be very keen, and she lead Tatsuko into the room. She opened a trunk and pulled out some lovely garments, from rich red to vibrant blue. "You may pick which you like more, and I'll help you dress. Being from another world, I'm not sure that you'd know how to put everything on properly. High Ladies should be dressed perfectly."

Jin stopped by his room and grabbed a new shirt before heading down the corridor to his mother's rooms. He found her in the garden, sitting on a bench, overlooking the horse stables. He sighed a bit and came toward her. "You can't stay here forever. Everyone is worried for you Mother."

The lovely, older woman looked to Jin and smiled contently. "Welcome back," she said softly, and Jin moved to sit next to her.

"I'm back, but seriously mother, it's been 6 years. You can't sit here all day." He sighed a bit and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"The servants say you brought a girl home."

"She's the Priestess mother... and you can't tell father."

"He'll know already... but I just wanted to make sure you were alright, I haven't seen much of you lately."

"I know, but I've been trying to stay away from father, he's been in a foul mood."

"The anniversary of your brother's death is coming soon, he's always cross this time of year."

Jin nodded and stood, "I know, I'll see you later Mother."

Well, Tatsuko supposed she couldn't argue. Chou seemed like a really nice old woman, and she didn't want to get her in trouble. She was surprised, however, that Jin didn't use to be such a nice person. He didn't seem that way to her at all, so to hear that was how he used to act was just bizarre. At the mention that people wouldn't have a reason to rip up her clothes if she was dressed in their clothing, she nodded. "You have a point. Alright then." Glancing at all of the clothes, Tatsuko was absolutely shocked. They were so beautiful. She hadn't seen such lovely clothing before. Even her kimono wasn't as nice as these. As she looked at them, her eyes landed on a beautiful vibrant blue outfit. It looked like it was just calling out for her. She reached out, and carefully touched the fabric of it. It was amazingly soft. "This one," she said quietly, nodding. Turning to Chou, she gave her a small smile. "I've never put one of these one before, so I could definately use the help." It didn't look like it would be too much different than a kimono, but it was still better to have help.

Chou nodded and waited for Tatsuko to disrobe, she grabbed all the pieces out and then held the robe up for her to slip into. She could then see that the under robe was light blue, and the frill came up demurely to cover her neck. Next went on the bright blue robe, the darker edges around the bottom held the shapes of Seiryuu. She tied the light blue belt next, and smiled softly to her. "It fits you..." Chou said softly, then she turned, hearing the door open. She was shocked to see the Master of the House standing there, looking angry and intently at Tatsuko. "My Lord," Chou said, but that was all she could, because he knocked the old woman to the ground with a back handed slap, then stormed over to Tatsuko. "Are you the Priestess? Are you the reason my good and intelligent son gave his life for that worthless Jin! I should kill you now, get revenge on the Heavens for taking my boy!"
