“Perhaps if I treated her as a male should treat a female, then perhaps she would prefer my intentions over yours.” Aidan grinned at the other before lifting a now dizzy Alice up and pulling her even closer, if that was at all possible. Alice was pissed by now, glaring openly at the males before her. The nerve of them treating her as though she was merely a toy for their amusements. After all with the way Dhiren was acting that was all last night was, and this male seemed to only want to cause problems. Tears prickled in her eyes and flared hot as she wheeled on Aidan and stamped her three-inch heel into his foot before kneeing him in the crotch.
With eyes blazing she locked eyes with Dhiren before the first tears fell. The female shook her head furiously and ran off, hopefully as far from him and her heart as possible. All she was, was a pretty face, picture perfect bottled rage. She stalked down the alley, forcing herself not to turn back and fall into Dhiren’s arms, but sheer will forced her back, back further away, he didn’t really want her, he had made that obvious. All men are the same, they never change.

“Well damn.” Aidan said with feeling, trying to regain air from the sudden attack. He didn’t mean for it to go that far, and it had been quite a bit since he had been so openly rejected. His eyes met the other toms for a brief moment before he shook his head sadly. “Your going to loose her unless you can show her you truly care. Hikari, my love is very much the same. Go after her if you truly care.” With that Aidan straightened, flexed his arms and turned his back on Dhiren, allowing him a chance to attack or a chance to go after the female he seemed to care about.

‘ Is this only entertainment, pull the curtains places please, we have learned to sing and dance and cry on queue but this is more than entertainment, in a world so sick with glee… this is the only thing real or true.’

The Somali tom had just about been to the edge of his fraying rope when Alice suddenly snapped. He had just stepped forward when two fleshy thuds sounded with the Female's attack on Aiden. Her gaze seemed to burn into his as she met his eyes for a moment before turning from them both and running away. Dhiren's heart gave a painful thump, threatening to break his ribs, and his eyes opened wider when he saw the tears pool and roll down her flushed cheeks. He stayed frozen in place even as the other male picked himself up and turned to talk to him. The only indication that he had even heard the other was the sudden twitch of his ears.

Snapping back to reality, the Somali's eyes narrowed dangerously, and he again flipped his ears back and tensed the muscles in his arms. If it hadn't been for this guy interfering in the first place, this wouldn't have happened. What right did he have to give him such a pitying look and tell him to go after her like they were comrades?! His tail lashing out to the side, Dhiren grabbed the red-head's shoulder, making sure to dig his claws in as he jerked him back around, sending his other fist into the guy's gut as he did so. "You made her cry, you b*****d!" he snarled, releasing the tom's shoulder and sending his fist into the guy's cheek. The Somali's chest was heaving as dizzying rage began pumping through his veins. "Don't you ever go near Alice again! I don't care who you are; I won't restrain myself next time!" He hissed and growled in his anger, his eyes glowering in the light, then he turned away, intending to go after the female, and added, "It was my mistake to hesitate so much this time... Damnit!"

Still fired up, Dhiren pelted away from the meddlesome Aiden, following Alice's scent. There was no telling what kind of trouble she would find on her own, in her condition. There was also no telling whether he would get another chance if he didn't fix his mistake as soon as possible. "Damnit!" He spat again, panting as he pelted down the pavement, her scent growing increasingly stronger. Where was she?!

Aidan took the punches in stride, he allowed the others aggression remind him of his younger days, he smiled after the male was done with him, though every connection of flesh had met he felt little of it. If anything Aidan enjoyed it, being the masochistic b*****d he was. As the other went after his female companion Aidan headed in the opposite direction, going towards home, with one idea in mind… Hikari in her nurses outfit.

Alice’s face was hot, and she was nearly blinded by the tears stinging her eyes. Something didn’t feel right in her chest anymore, as though her heart was beating crooked and something was torn out…. Her spleen possibly. All she could think of was how horrible it had been, knowing at last that the love Dhiren offered was all false, that he would never admit to the world that she was his and he was hers. When the time came all the male that she believed loved her simply watched another man handle her. Alice bit her lip to keep any sound from coming out and closed her eyes walking by pure instinct. It didn’t matter where she went now, anywhere was better than where she was, for it felt if she stopped the female would quit moving forever.
“Well, well, well… is this not an amusement. I thought I would never see you again princess… but I suppose lady luck has blown on my dice once more. Your friend got away, but now it’s only you and me and it seems I have the upper hand.”
Alice’s eyes snapped open when a hand curled around her upper arm, jerking her into his arms and smiling as the strap of her dress broke from misuse all day. A severe blush crept up the females face, from the revealing flesh but all she could do was stand there, tearstained face staring up at yet another event turned for the worse. And for once in her life, Alice had no words… only the willingness to give up, let him do with her what he was going to do and leave her alone… just like everyone else.

Dhiren's paws pounded the pavement as he raced to catch up with Alice. His throat was dry and his breath shallow, but her scent filled his mouth with every intake, and he could tell, she wasn't far away now. As he was nearly upon her, the scent of yet another unfamiliar tom met his system, boiling his blood all over again. The fired-up tom burst from an alley and spilled into a quiet side street, looking one way, then another, before spotting his target's delicate sundress, a strap broken and hanging uselessly as a large cat surrounded her. Pelt prickling with all the rage that had built up earlier and the newly created, Dhiren let a furious snarl rip from his throat and charged towards the stranger. His firey tail streamed out behind him, and he pounded into the male with fists ready. "Get away from her..." He growled, his voice low and rumbling as he wrenched the guy's arm away from Alice. His fangs bared and his ears flattened, Dhiren rammed his shoulder into the other tom's chest, forcing him away from the woman he was so torn about; forcing himself between them.

His breathing was still ragged from the run, and it hurt as he gasped to get enough air in his lungs, but he remained rooted where he was, his eyes fixed on the male before him. His tail lashed the air behind him, just barely brushing the woman he had placed himself in front of. Adrenaline was racing wildly through his veins by this point, and Dhiren was ready to take on every tom in Ikebukuro if he had to. He lowered his head and snarled at the guy before him again. "Listen well, moron, I'm only going to say this once;" Taking a moment to glance back at the broken woman behind him, the somali tom gritted his teeth and straightened, "This woman here may not want me, but I'll be damned if you come near her again. She's mine, do you understand me?!" The question wasn't begging for an answer, and Dhiren wasn't about to wait for one; he arched his back and flicked his tail out, daring the tom to try and cross him.

Alice felt her head began to spin as she was thrown out of the other tom’s grasp, she felt dizzy and confused, hardly able to comprehend what exactly was happening and the significance of it. When Dhiren said she was his she reached for him, not wanting him to go again, though sadly the world was tipping, quite literally in fact she realized only when she was on the ground, feigning on blackness. It seemed that all the excitement and upsets had done her in, Alice was now lost deep within herself, with only her deepest thoughts for her company. Her vision barely there, the darkness closing in on all sides, but her love remained crouched by her in a defensive position, perhaps all hope was not lost. Though she found herself mumbling one thing, barely audible before the faint took hold “Dhiren I was always yours, and always will be.” And then grimy darkness.

The other male smiled and shook his head, mocking what seemed to be an over protective tom. “‘Tis a shame… she’s a beauty you know.” In a few quick movements the male had smiled rather nasality at the scum that had fallen and was obviously close to passing out. “Too bad she’s too much of a slut for anyone to really care about.” His smile turned to Dhiren with an icy stare and a coy smile… as though he could not make up his mind.
“I do believe we have a problem, see I want this woman and I don’t think the likes of you will stop me.”

Aidan found himself thinking of the couple he had disrupted, perhaps he should have minded his own business... but that really wasn’t like him at all. The large Siberian turned from where he was heading and decided he had to do something, see he had a soft spot for couples like that, couples like himself and his dear. Sighing he followed the scent of the male that had tried his best to beat the s**t out of him… knowing damned well the dangers of his own territory.

Unaware of the unconscious woman behind him, Dhiren continued to glower at the other tom, ever hair on his pelt standing out now. He was speaking nonsense, but every word he uttered brought a new wave of heat flashing from his body. "Hn... We'll see about that." He snarled, lunging forward with a furious yowl, his claws out and ready. Fists would have done the job just as well, but the Somali was more interested in seeing the guy's blood spill by this point.

Not a fighter by nature, the fluffy cat's speed wasn't any less effective. He was used to running and maneuvering, and so he found himself in the offensive tom's face rather quickly. A couple of rapid swipes at his ears started things off, followed by Dhiren bouncing back on his heel before he threw himself into the fray again. The Somali's movements weren't very well orchestrated, either way; he was swiftly loosing himself to a fired frenzy as the other cat's words echoed in his ears. If Alice was such a worthless slut, why would he or any male even bother interfering? The events surrounding this woman never ceased to confound the poor orange cat, and now he even found himself fighting on her behalf.

Aidan had been wandering for a bit before he found the sources of the strange adrenaline smell he had latched onto. The large male stood at the mouth of the alley, watching the fight as it occurred with what seemed like amused interest. The furious tom obviously had little to no experience, but the fury of his actions almost feigned on desperate in his opinion. So deciding it best to right the wrong he had began Aidan straightened, allowing himself to be seen by the tom who had surely caused this ruckus, and gave a very displeased glare, keeping himself quiet as to not harm the Somali males pride.

The opposing tom laughed at Dhiren that is until he saw the reinforcement. He recognized the tall red head from when his master was once the leader of this establishment and flinched. His master was beheaded and there were rumors that Aidan had it preserved somewhere in his home. He cast one last disgusted look at the female that had fallen to the ground, ducking one of Dhiren’s blows and running out of the alley.

It almost saddened Aidan to see the other male give up so easily, but all the same he fell back into the shadow of the alley and grinned to himself like a Cheshire cat. He would get to handle that group later, it had been a mistake to let them live. Once the other male noticed Alice crumpled to the ground he would offer assistance, since big bad Dhiren had took all the fun.

Not noticing the terrified glance cast somewhere behind him, Dhiren kept fighting with everything he knew, and when the other tom turned tail and ran, the Somali chased after him for a short distance, yowling and spitting the whole way. The scene would have been comical to anyone who wasn't part of it. His chest still heaving with the effort of breathing after all of his excitement, the orange tom turned back to Alice, only to find her slumped over on the ground. With ears perked and eyes wide with alarm, Dhiren ran back over to her, and once her asserted that she was still breathing, slumped to his rear beside her.

Proping himself up with both hands on the pavement behinds him, he let his head roll back as he calmed down and pulled his breathing back under control. His normally fluffy hair was dark and sticking to his face with sweat, and he felt nearly on the verge of blacking out himself.

Quietly, oh so quietly, Aidan made his way down the alley as though he had never been there. Spotting the boy and his lovely lady Aidan smiled, and gestured to gain the others attention. “I don’t suppose you two would need a place to rest, considering one of you is already unconscious in a filthy alley." Raising his hands to show he meant no harm Aidan knelt near Alice, checking her pulse and vitals before lifting her up easily in his arms. “I’m the master here, I’ll take you two to the base, where you can rest up and then leave when you are content. No, don’t argue with me. Let us go.”

The male resisted offering a hand to the other, knowing damn well the anger he had to have toward him. Shrugging his shoulders in a ‘I don’t care, if you come or go, but I have the girl’ kind of way Aidan set off, cradling the still unconscious Alice to his stomach.Aidan grinned to himself inwardly and took Alice from the alley, Dhiren would b***h, he was sure, but at least this way he could keep those guttersnipes away from his guests. Not once did the leader look behind him to see if Dhiren was coming. After that brave display Aidan doubted that the other male would ever want to be parted from Alice again, let alone to him.

Dhiren, still exhausted and panting, was a little slow to realize that someone else had approached them. His ears stood up immediately, and his attention snapped to Alice as soon as he heard the other male's voice. His lip curled in a snarl immediately as his eyes settled on the other tom, who had lifted the unconscious woman and was heading off with her. He hardly heard the other cat over the blood rushing about through his head, but at least he still had sense enough to realize that they weren't in danger.

The Somali tom pushed himself to his paws as soon as Aiden had started walking off with Alice; he wasn't about to let her out of his sight any time soon. "Cocky b*****d...I'm not thanking you." He growled lowly, trailing behind the other with his burning amber eyes trained on Alice's fluffy tail poking out from the side of his arms. Dhiren didn't like the idea of staying at this guy's home overnight; he didn't like it at all. Still, having a safe place to stay until Alice regained consciousness wasn't all bad. So, the tom sulked, laid his ears back, and followed obediently, his tail flicking with immense ire as they walked.

Aidan smirked to himself and lead them into an old abandoned bookstore. Hikari must have been gone because the guards were slouching in the corners playing some game that would surely end up in a brothel. Aidan rolled his eyes and coughed into his hand glaring about. “What are you pathetic idiots doing on my time?!” he billowed, obviously upset. The rest of the room silenced in a moment, all turning to Aidan remembering the last time he had carried someone into their home, it had been his brother, an inch from death.

All of the other cats stood and went to their posts, quietly arguing with their eyes to one another it was not over. Some looked smug from the game being over and them having the higher score. Then some held the questioning gaze to Alice and a similar looking cat following behind. None asked questions, figuring that was the smartest thing. Some nodded to Dhiren, while the others simply ignored him.

Aidan trudged up the stairs and into one of the empty bedrooms left abandoned awhile ago. Gently he laid down Alice onto the bed that would be hers until she awoke. He turned to Dhiren, nodded tight-lipped and went downstairs to give his ‘followers’ a good talking to.

Dhiren let his eyes roam about the library as they entered the place. He still had them narrowed defensively, and didn't return the nod some of the others sent his way. What were they approving him for anyway? He didn't really understand, and so he chose to ignore them. They weren't important anyway, only Alice mattered right now. If he hadn't been in such a foul mood to begin with, the lot of them would have been amusing for Dhiren, and he surely would have used the lack of discipline in his territory against Aidan.

Ascending the stairs, the Somali followed the older, Siberian male into the room and moved to stand by the bed as the other nodded to him and left. He didn't know what the older male had on his mind, and he didn't much care. His breathing and heart rate had come back to normal, but a burning anger still simmered in the pit of his stomach. Turning his head, he gazed at the unconscious female and crouched beside her, moving her mussed hair from her face. Dhiren was no longer sure who or what he was angry about, only that he was still miffed. His gaze was hard and his brows knit together as he stared at her, then, abruptly, he turned away. Sitting on the floor, with his back leaning against the bed and one knee drawn to his chest, the Somali tom stared into the opposite wall and brooded quietly. His ears were tilted back, listening to Alice's even breathing, and his tail tip flickered anxiously.

Alice barely felt the caress of hands on her face. Her eyes fluttered slightly when he had turned from her and sat looking in the opposite direction. Her lips moved, mouthing words that were impossible to hear for no sound eluded from her. She slowly opened one eye, to spot the back of his head, she calmed slightly but remembered how Dhiren seemed not to be interested in her since the previous night.

She looked around slowly, taking in the room before reaching for the boy that couldn’t see her. A light blush was in her cheeks, and when she found her voice it was soft and nearly broken. “Dhiren please come hold me.” Her hand shook, with the fear that he would yell or reject her, but her eyes remained steady.

Dhiren's ear flicked when it picked up Alice's small voice, and the tom turned his head to look at her. Guilt and relief flickered in them as he looked into her face. Without a word, he stood off the floor and instead sat on the side of the bed. Lifting her torso, he gently laid her head in his lap. "You're okay... right?" He growled tentatively, gazing down at her dark hair. Dhiren pulled his ears back nervously; there were things yet that needed to be discussed, but he wasn't sure what to expect. "You passed out..." It wasn't necessary to point out, but he really didn't know what to do or say to her.

Alice looked away, unsure of the tone in his voice. “I’m dizzy, I don’t think I’m going to try to move just yet… and I’m afraid, I shouldn’t have run I know that, but it felt like you hated me or something.” She lifted her eyes to look at him again, straining just to meet his. “You don’t hate me right?” with a shaking hand she reached up and touched the side of his face, unsure of even that… would he flinch away, would he tell her he despised her very existence and wanted nothing more to do with her? Still she forced herself to stay strong and stay that way, fighting with her fears.

“Dhiren I think I’m falling in love with you, and I need to know how you feel, If I’m not the one you want… I need to know, so that you can at least have your happiness.” Her voice was a lot more sure then she felt herself, and it took everything not to start crying there, but she reassured herself that it would come later… whether or not she would have him to hold her if it did.
~~~
Aidan had been walking outside in the hall when he heard a female’s voice coming from the room he had stupidly left open. Several of his guards were trying to listen in and get a peek of her sleeping form until they saw Aidan. Quietly he sunk back into the shadows and slowly pulled the door shut, it seemed the lovers would have much to speak of…
