Numair was the next to observe the rose bush, staring at the entrance calmly. He bowed to the two teenagers before him, resisting the urge to look elsewhere, before shifting so that he could put his muzzle into the thorns. The thicker the vine the bigger the torn he remembered, right as he caught hold of a nearly perfect flower. The young male closed his eyes against the possibility of getting stuck in one, for he had to go much further than the older wolves. He retreated, with the rose clutched in his teeth as thorns bit into his neck.
He looked at the others and quietly trudged over to the almond female that had gone before him with the rune like markings on her forepaws, something about her was pleasant, calming. She seemed to be nervous, by her shyness, but he knew how she felt. He was the only pup here, and she had something that made her unique he just knew it. So nodding politely, he sat next to her, hoping not to scare her more. Numair just wanted to reassure her with his presence, that he knew what it meant to be the odd one out.

What had she to gain by coming here? What sort of adventure, what future did she desire? Shateiel often felt as though she was passing through life in a dream, awake but half asleep, going through the motions without any sensation of fulfillment or purpose. Maybe it was her restlessness in her youth that drove her to seek something more, but whatever the reason, she was here now, following the scent trails of several individuals, curious about their connections, and she had by accident (or fate) fallen into their midst. Strong legs carried her forward, flowing along with the trails with a sense of haste, but even so her swiftness was silent, her steps subtle and made with purpose. The deep orbs peering from her black face glanced at her surroundings as she moved, her ears forward and alert, and her expression relaxed despite wandering directly into the unknown. Shateiel's carefree incentive made this particular adventure simple.
The ebony female stopped just short of the group, hiding away in what foliage that was positioned before her, not in the least bit concerned with whether or not her scent was down wind. If they were to discover her now it wouldn't matter, she planned on making herself present soon enough anyway, and as she listened further it seemed all of these strangers were just that, strangers, not only to her but to each other as well. This gathering wasn't something premeditated, no pack formation, or rally, instead it seemed like a recruiting, a little formal get together in which the two at the focus of the attention were welcoming the others. Her eyes lingered on the male for a moment, his orangish-tan pelt contrasting in comparison to who she assumed as his sister (the roses printed on their bodies enough to tell her they were at least related). His poised stance and direct comments seemed strategic -at least it seemed as though he knew what he was doing.
Silence was her namesake and silent she was. Observing the group was her objective for now, for when she would finally decide to join in, she wanted to know what to say and now to approach appropriately. Many, it seemed, had come this direction without intention, the dispersal wolves having by chance come upon this little patch of sanctuary. Now they were being offered homes. Jobs. Obligations, and, perhaps most important of all, a future. This little notion intrigued her. What was this Order of the Rose? Were these two its leaders, and how did it function? Peering out from the brush, her crumbling mask was perhaps the only thing visible, while her focused eyes watched in keen intent.

The brown female couldn't believe it when the pup saught her out from the others. But then again she did have an overwhelming mothering instinct that he must have picked up on. She placed her rose on the ground feeling better about herself and lowered herself down to his level and licked the blood from his wounds that he gained retrieving the rose. She hoped it would be okie with him that she 'adopted' him as her own at that moment. She always did like puppies and something about him seamed to settle the inner deamons of overwhelming nervousness that she had before.
But now that the rose was out of her mouth somebody might ask her to speak. Her eyes wandered to the alpha's. Would they accept the mute wolf like the pup had? Oh well that was the risk she took taking a rose in the first place. She nudged the pup again tenderly and tried to calm herself once again.

One by one they began to step forward, and pride swelled in his heart. Even the young pup, a stranger amongst so many older wolves, could show respect for an elderly wolf with them. This was the beginning of something great, Fantasia believed, the seeds beginning to be planted. He would, no they must take them to their newfound home now; Fanta's eagerness was very apparant. It was ready to house its new tenants. "Welcome, brothers and sisters," the teen told them with a smile, not noticing an extra pair of eyes upon him and his sister, for there were many gathered there. Fantasia turned his gaze upon Tera. "I think we should take those with roses with us home. The dens should be ready for at least this many by now." Tirelessly the family had worked to dig out the dens and set up the barriers, and though some places still needed construction the outcome was beginning to show itself: even order within the dens would be shown in their meticulous placement.

Shiloh waited in silence as a few of the others stepped forward, bringing back the reddest roses she had ever seen. They all had crimson marks in their fur where the thorns had nicked them. When there was a pause in wolves she moved, padding calmly to the rose bush.
Oh, how she was ready for this. Finally a goal in life, finally she could make something of herself, as a member of this pack. It would be different from everything that she knew, but she wasn't scared. No, she actually felt strangely peaceful, standing by the rose bush. Closing her eyes she reached out until she felt a stem between her teeth, thorns biting into her dark, moist nose. She bit down and neatly sliced the stem from the bush, stepping backwards. The rose she chose wasn't fully open yet, the inner petals just starting to peek out from the outer. It was like her, ready to blossom into something great.
Shiloh moved away from the bush and joined the forming circle, rose clutched tightly in her jaws.
Fantasia and Terabithia, what beautiful names. The names were fitting for wolves marked by the roses. Willow looked around at each wolf, her eyes often settling on Tera, the female who showed her so much kindness. She watched the others go to the bush before her, until there were few wolves left to step up and my their choice. Should she go too? Tera had reassured her that her loyalty was what mattered most, and she was already feeling a connection to these strangers... Would it be stupid to walk away and return to her life of fear?
Despite her uncertainty, Willow already knew the answers. After Shiloh chose her rose she forced herself forward before she could change her mind. She squeezed her eyes shut and picked a rose at random, feeling her muzzle being cut by the sharp thorns. She withdrew and opened her eyes, a large bloom now secured in her teeth. She studied the flower for a moment, looking over each rounded petal. It was the most perfect rose she had ever seen.
She glanced around nervously before hurrying away with it and sitting back at Terabithia's side.

Numair nuzzled into the other female cautiously as she licked the blood off of his muzzle. He had met another similar to her, and knew better than to speak to her and make her uncomfortable. Stayed quiet by her, comforting the other with his presence. When the older male mentioned home Numair’s stomach dropped considerably. This was going to be his home now, could he have two? Could Numair take the responsibility and not go running to his father with his tail between his legs, or make his fathers prophecy come true? Fear of both possible futures Nu looked up at the female that had become his sitting companion. “We will stay together right?” he asked, breaking the silence between him and his new friend, hoping she would not mind and merely nod yes or no.

Allister, to himself in this situation watched as the movements commenced and then, like the drop of a ball the end had arrived; he wanted them to follow.
To a place he was unsure of, and with members he could not find relation with, Allister found it difficult to move at first. Red fur covering large masses of his back now quivered and rose, showing the pink flesh beneath and depicting his nervous, anxious, and uncertain emotion clearly. His jaws clenched as more wolves spoke, but the focus of his attention stayed on the leaders.
He would go then with these creatures and take on whatever roll it was they needed of him. He felt the loyalty in him rumble, it mingling with the adrenaline and fear, even daring to overshadow all other sensation. He found a place to call home, by accident, by fate, by choice; he ran into a society that would accept him at face value and hopefully, in the end, for whatever lurked behind the mask.

So it was final. The pack was now formed, and each rose in their maws proved that they were willing to give their lives, like Tera and Fantasia had always vowed. They would give their lives for their pack, and their pack would give their lives for them. It was a task that should have filled them with some sort of relief.
Tera smiled, nudging Willow once more gently with a flick of her tail as she scooted closer.
"My friends," she replied, looking back at all of them, and then standing to move to the center of the circle they had all formed.
"I now deem you, packmates." She smiled, nodding and looking to Fantasia.

The young female continued to hide away in the brush, her coat thankfully a nice agent that blended so well in the foliage. Her deep eyes continued to watch the scene, observing not only the wolves being examed, but the supposed alpha pair who were moving things along smoothly. Something about this meeting struck Shateiel strangely. It was so...fluid, so simple and clean. Each member accepted their new stature with eager smiles while the alpha's passed their final acceptance, confirmation to the group of their newly found home. Was this how packs were made? Was it so easy to allow a stranger into your midst? Maybe the real test would start now rather than after the enlistment.
As she stared she began to ponder her own existence here. Though having not come out and addressed herself to the group, she was familiarizing herself with the surroundings and the procedure the pack was beginning to stabilize. Why did it matter to her? Was she just here to cure boredom, or was curiosity her sole motivator? Whatever the reason, she lingered there, continuing to watch with various emotions tugging at her consciousness.
These wolves were following a future. Now, what future did she have? All she could see was the current, all she understood was the now, and yet, and yet something drew her here and kept her watching, lingering in the shadows as if to say she participated without the strings attached as the other wolves had done. What future did she have? In all honesty she hadn't really thought of it. There were no specific goals she had made for herself, no real ambition she had set out to follow, and yet she knew there ought to be something. Though she loved her family, she couldn't stay forever. There would be a point she would no longer be there to mentor her siblings and Moonlil would be forced out into the world to live her life as she saw fit. Maybe that time was now. Maybe what kept her here was this inward sensation that maybe something was important in this place, surrounded by these wolves.
Her brows frowned at the thought. Not out of discomfort, but more of a contemplative concern that clouded her mind. Shaking her head she pulled away from her musings to once more survey the area. They were done and she was left behind. No matter. Now she knew what was in store and now she had the opportunity to make a decision. She would leave now and if she so decided, she would be back. Sleek hips contorted as the female backed up, moving slowly as to not rustle the leaves around her and draw attention to herself. If she wanted to return, that was when she would make herself present, but for now she was leaving, taking with her knowledge. Looking back once, Shateiel looked to the pack, smiled, and then was off.
