Revel smiled. This was one cool guy. I wonder why he never found his home again. I'd have thought they'd be looking for him. "Alright. Thank you." She slipped in and pushed a cushion of dried moss his way.

He grinned a little as he snuck in behind her, facing her with his back towards the entrance. That way he was blocking most of it, and able to keep anyone from bothering the two of them while they got some rest. "Thanks for letting me stay here, Revel." He nudged her cheek with his nose a little.

"Hm. No problem." Revel replied happily. "It's good to have a new friend." She snugged in close to him, so they would both be warm. "Good night."
The cold wind came up that night, bringing with it that rain that freezes on contact, but the two were snug inside the hole. Time passes, and dawn began to appear.

It took a while for him to fully fall asleep, but he slept better than he had in a long time. The femme was warm and he was very appreciative of it. When he finally woke up, he stared at the other with a small smile before nudging her softly.
"We need to go out and grab something to eat, Revel." He muttered to the other softly, his nose close to her ear.

"Meh....wha....?" Revel mumbled sleepily before coming to her senses and taking a good stretch. She yawned. "Okay. Sounds good." She poked her nose out to check. "Yay, no moose. You know what? That was the best I've slept in a long time."

"Me too, I owe it all to you." He gave her a grin as he crawled from their small hideout, sniffing around and catching the scent of a small, young doe. Instantly his senses were on fire and he turned to the femme.
"Let's get her."

Revel was usually a bit slow to wake up, but this was too good to pass on. "Right. You want to lead, or shall I? Bumping into each other really doesn't help." She suppressed a laugh so the doe didn't notice them. "What's the plan?"

"Get her to come towards me. I'll get the final blow." He gave her another nudge. "Once you're awake enough, of course." A wolfish grin formed on his lips when he saw the other.
He had no problem with taking down an animal, due to being slightly light, he was quick on his feet and could hunt rather well.

"Right." She squared her shoulders, lowering her head. "I can do that." Revel, staying low to the ground, took a wide pass to the side and around, coming up a bit behind the deer. She got into position and made a noise to startle it, then matched its moves like a cutting horse, pushing it back towards Elan. It turned and attempted to flee his way, but not before giving Revel a hard kick to the head. She was knocked sideways, but forced herself to act fine so Elan wouldn't be tempted to come to her before he caught the doe.

Elan had no idea that the femme wolf was hurt at all. He managed to sink his teeth into the doe's neck and with a forceful shake of his head, he slammed the young deer into the ground.
Then he stared around, trying to find the femme. "Hey Revel!" He finally called a little, before giving a slight howl to call for her. Where -was- she. They finally had a good catch and he could feed the femme. However, he moved from his spot and saw the hurt femme.
Instantly fear flashed before his eyes, though he wasn't sure why. "W-What.. Are you okay, Revel?"

Wow, the ground's doing funny things. "Yeah, I think so. Oh, glory, that hurts," she added, sinking to the ground and closing her eyes to try and stop the spinning sensation. Revel was vaguely aware of Elan's fear, but she couldn't even muster the coherency to speak to him at that point. The cut on her head was bleeding quite a bit, and it appeared that even the bone was bruised - if not slightly cracked. She attempted to recollect and steady herself, but it wasn't working too well. She let out a whine-groan and dug her front feet forward into the loose dirt.

Elan looked a little nervous, but he moved forward and nuzzled into the femme's neck. "Don't move too much, you're going to make it worse." He couldn't let something happen to the pretty wolf, she was very good to him thus far and he needed to return the favor.
The doe was long forgotten despite the rumbles of his stomach, by now scavengers probably had taken the best of the meat from their kill. A whine left him as he lapped softly at her wound, cleaning her up and trying to help her heal a little.

It stung some and her head was pounding mercilessly, but Revel lay still uder Elan's care. Through her mental fog, she deciphered that it felt good despite the pain.
Suddenly, something cut through her muddled mind like a bolt of hot lightning. The moose!! The scent was strong enough that she caught it. "We...gotta...get...out of here." She wanted to explain, but that was all she could make herself say. She tried to get to her feet.

"No, you can't move yet." He growled to the female, though he too caught the scent of the approaching moose. There was no way Elan was going to let the female move and hurt herself, or let the moose come close enough to her.
What he needed to do.. was lead it away. "I'll be back, I promise." He whispered to the wolf before moving straight for the moose, snarling loudly at the creature in an attempt to scare it off.

"No-" Revel tried to say as she attempted to stop Elan by grabbing his tail. She missed and passed out.
The bull turned angrily toward toward this snarling annoyance. He charged and let fly with piercing antlers and steak-knife hooves. He wasn't going to let this hated creature live. Blood colored his eyes red, and his aim was deadly.
((I apologize for the delay. I'm trying to figure out how to work this so it's not god-moding))
