Preists are just s**t in general. Their dps isn't as good as other classes, and their healing isn't as good as other classes. The one thing that made them worth bringing to a raid, Disc, got nerfed so other classes have their buffs. -___-

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, shadow (the dps tree)'s final talent is a spell that REDUCES YOUR DPS.... -________________-

My alt Priest, soon to be my main when I faction change and transfer her.

Anyone that says a priest can't DPS obviously has had some run ins with terrible priests, and no buff is greater than Prayer of Fortitude. With the right spec, CoH Holy has a wonderful rotation that allows for effective raid healing that can rival a tree druid's (my current main). I love playing my priest, and I can't wait to make her my main.

I used to love playing my priest in BC. At least, until I got bored out of my skull all due to the fact that being my old guild's coh spamming healing slave got really.... REALLY boring, tedious and just plain nerve wracking. My priest became my alt about a month before wotlk came out, switched to my huntard which I had more fun with. Just out of boredom I leveled my priest to 80 after raiding some on my hunter, and fell in love with her all over again. She's still my alt, but I enjoy soloing with her. Dual spec at least makes it less of a hassle soloing then going into a group.

I respectfully disagree. It depends on who is flying the priest. I am sorry that your experiences with priests whether it be by your own doing or those you have grouped with have sucked. Consider having standards for a change. There are better players out there.

I believe playing a priest, especially a holy one takes a brain now. Especially since the nerfs they have taken on Spirit and the like.

Mightysmitor is my holy priest. I rather enjoy healing with her, and I tend to out heal better geared priests while half snoozing on my keyboard. I am a pre BC priest, and I miss those days QQ I have slowly stopped playing WoW as things have gotten terribly boring in general. They have made the game too easy. Damn you blizz, damn you to hell! *sees shiny object and eyes glaze over* Oh! Shiny! *Runs off*

There is your problem right there. You are leveling as Holy. From a personal persepective, i leveled from 1-80 as Holy and it was my very first toom. It gets tedious after a while. You relly on groups to much imo when leveling as a healing spec. If you spec Shadow, and level liek that, youa re perfectly capabile of healing to about level 42. Around 40 is when you start picking spec specific spells and all that jazz.

It can be done but you will get fustrated alot while leveling. At least, thats what happened to me.. And my determination to not be dps and be healing from the begining took over haha. As soon as i hit 80 i respecced pve disc and have been that ever since and have raided every raid availiable in WotLK with the spec, or variations of it.

Really just a piece of friendly adive from someone who's been there, spec Shadow and get your levels epicly fast, expecially if you have BoA gear and such lark. With shadow there is much less downtime drinking water. You can still heal yourself, and jsut drink afterwards, and then when you get dispersion, jsut hit that. The abilities of your Shadow spells effectively get the name "mana battery" ebcause thats what you'll be, barely have to stop and drink. Then spec healing at 80 and get new gear from heroics. Either way you'll be replacing gear at level cap.

I am duel spec disc/shadow. Never tried holy so I'm not sure whether
I'd prefer it, sometimes i feel like my disc heal cast times are too long.
Any advice?
