She trot after him, humming a little and looking very happy. A friend. A real friend that wanted to travel with her. She was practically prancing, and it took a lot of effort not to blabber on. If she annoyed him, she felt that he would probably leave her behind and she'd be stuck alone again.
Keara moved up near him, but let him be a few steps ahead, not wanting to look like she was challanging for the lead. He knew where he needed to go, after all, she was just a follower of him. "Are you scared?"

"Scared? Of what?" He tilted his head to glance back at her taken by surprise by her question. Strange how she always seemed capable or surprising him when nothing else did. Was she scared? Did she think him incapable of defending them?
"You have nothing to fear..." He murmured softly and tried to ease his expression from it's usual fierce concentration into a mild smile. There perhaps that would ease her worries, he even let his paws pick up a little trying to match her happy prancing for a few paces.

Keara's heart seemed to lighten all over again. He.. would protect her, too? She felt even happier as she saw him pick up his paws and walk with her in that way. "Thank you," She whispered to the other before focusing on their trail once more.
He smiled, that made her even happier. That meant.. he had to see her as a friend too, right? Keara gave a playful 'wuff' to the other to show her happiness, her eyes glowing once more. "We can hunt together, it would be so much easier that way!"

He slowly tipped his muzzle in a nod "Your welcome..." His voice softened and he relaxed slowly. Maybe she wasn't so bad after all, just friendly, perhaps too friendly but he would make sure she didn't get hurt. At least for the journey...until she found a better spot to settle.
He grinned at the wuffing sound and let his tail waver. "Yes hunting together will make things much easier, we might even be able to take down a doe."

Her tail kept wagging as she followed after him, nodding her head a few times. "A doe? I love doe, they're my favorite." She beamed as he kept walking with him. It was starting to get a little darker, which meant the tempurature was dropping as well.
She paused in her step when she caught a new scent, tilting her head a little and staring over at him curiously. "What is that?"

He was starting to get used to her enthusiasm it seemed it never diminished no matter the circumstances. His nose twitched then and her lifted his head inhaling to try and catch the scent better.
"It's getting late...perhaps we should find shelter for the evening..." He finally murmured softly and moved closer to her.

She nodded her head and and gave another wuff, this one a bit quieter as she moved closer to him as well. Their sides were just barely not touching. "I'm starting to get cold, Yensidddd~" She stated in a sing-song voice as she tried to find a place for the two of them to stay.
Hm.. There was a few places, it really was up to him. She was willing to stay wherever he wanted to.

Yensid lightly nuzzled her neck not wanting her cold, he headed for a nearby cavern, it was small a natural fissure in the stone. "Come...we'll spend the night here..." He gently nudged her to enter first.
He knew in the small space they would both feel plenty warm and with such a small entrance he could sleep infront of it and keep them guarded from danger or intruders.

She was appreciative of the nuzzle, crawling into the cave before him and nudging at the edges with her nose so it was more comfortable. After a few circles she laid down and smiled. "You can come in~"
Keara cooed a little as she wagged her tail. She knew how to calm down when it was time to sleep, as she didn't want to be awake forever.

Yensid wriggled inside carefully at her invitation and lightly nudged her. "Sleep now, we'll continue in the morning..." He slowly moved himself to block the caverns small entrance so the cold wouldn't seep in.
He also ensured that nothing could get in at them without going through him first. Slowly he moved to rest his head on his paws and glanced at the female once more before slowly closing his eyes and marveling how nice this felt. Sharing wasn't so bad it seemed.

It was hard to totally calm her exciment, she had a friend that wanted to travel with her~ Still she wiggled just a little closer to him before relaxing back down against the floor. Ah, how nice and warm it was, to have another form against her own.
Finally she closed her eyes and let herself start to drift off. Sleep came easier than it normally did, and her usually constantly moving body was now relaxed against the cool floor and the warm body.
